Like lots of others I keep coming in to see if there is any news! I so hope he is home safe and sound.

SM has caused a lot of hype and carry on since the BBC show was aired. Unfortunately many Cavaliers are now being 'diagnosed' as suffering it without any actual proof. Some dogs do just scratch. Yes it is in the breed but it's not every dog that scratches that has it. Unless your dog is actually distressed or in pain I wouldn't be worrying overly at this stage.

I know but I'd prefer to get answers from people who have been here a while.

Hi, A friend is looking to buy a Boston Terrier. I have told them to look in to all the health problems in the breed and to discuss with the breeders the screening they do. Plus of course a only deal with a registered breeder. They have been given quotes mainly around $2000 but one has told them $900. I've warned them to be rather cautious there! Would anyone like to PM with recommendations or cautions please? TIA :D

A girl I look after has Optimmune. Originally she had the drops but last time she came she had gel in a syringe from the vet. Apparently the vet can dispense it that way and save a bit? Lula is 7 now and has been using it since she was a wee puppy.

<No problem showing a speyed bitch. You just don't mention it. Who is to know if she's speyed. I only support cheating regulations when the regulation is absurd. This on is absurd. > Can't agree there SG! It can make a huge difference in coat in a coated breed. My girls are all desexed once they have finished breeding. Bree is 5 1/2 and I am still trying to work out if she will have a second litter or be desexed.

I read a tip that said to use lemon oil on a cobweb brush when you remove the webs cause spiders etc don't like lemon oil. I haven't tried it but may be worth a try? At least it would smell pretty :D

I unpacked mine and carefully (or not so) put all the toys away in the bedroom for Christmas. I must have dropped the foam ball cause Vienna had a lovely game with it later It seems a hit. A friend came over and I was showing her the other toys and Vienna loved the songbird. Not sure how long that one will last....

<Gretal, why is your box still at the post office? I would drop everything to go & get it.> BB the card they left said I couldn't pick it up until after 4.30 I got it this morning. I ended up putting another order in so I guess that will be New Year's presents for the girls. I don't think they'll mind!

Oh no that was not good Ness OH was telling me they were talking about what percentage of postal articles go missing on the news. I can't remember what it was but it was significant Is there anything I really must include in this final order? So far I've bought toys, a DOOG belt, a bed, shadecloth, a DVD and I've forgotten what else.

I trotted off to Petbarn yesterday to buy some Blade Wash but they don't sell it! Where do people buy it? Or do you use something else? TIA

Cooper is a cutie Little people move quickly and make good noises so pups do get excited around them. They can get good reactions from them too This will sound silly but if you spray her feet and clothing with some Aerogard she won't taste so good. It might help deter the biting.

Already Have Most Of The Things For Your New Puppy?
Gretel replied to heroeswit's topic in Puppy Chat
Talien, I really think it is worth your while buying a small bag of whatever the pup is used to eating to change him over. It's enough of an upheavel for a baby pup without changing his food over completely at the same time. Supercoat is not the best of foods to raise a pup on....
