Does anyone know what is the best time on a Sat or Sunday to get in to see George HUBER at Swan Vets? He works 9 to 12 both days, just wondering if their is a que early etc ?

Thanks

Just ring them and make sure he is going to be in too... Maybe call the night before.

I went in on Tuesday night - and was in to see a vet in 10 minutes, Didnt see George because he wasnt there and it was a basic routine thing.... Some people picking up there dog from surgery commented on how busy it was.... i just laughed im like you havent seen nothing, the queue can fill the waiting room and the verandah!

Bahahahahaha  and the car park and half the street when really busy :D

Doesn't this vet surgery take bookings? Interesting approach! What happens if you are at the end of the queue and waiting for ages and it gets to 12 and he says no more patients??

No they don't take appts but they don't kick people out either george is very good like that and even if the appt is an extended appt he doesn't normally charge for it.

Had my cat in with snail bait poisoning other week and couldn't beleive the little amount george charged me for three days in vet and steralisation he rocks :D

on a good note just bathed three rottis and trimmed the girls nails as i have been slack and they are uber long. kept the corn flour on hand thankfully i only grazed three nails 2 on one dog an 1 on the other who pulled away bloody sook she is lol. they look a lot better and glad no reaction i normlaly am realyl careful but htey needed to be cut right back :S

so i am wet and covered in corn flour but dogs are all ready for shows on weekend

Thanks Emery will get there early and see if I can get in early, may have to miss the show, shich doesnt bother me but Mak would be devastated. may see you there.

Thanks again

I remember when i grazed James' nail once. I asked OH to get the cornflour out of the cupboard (it's clearly marked in a glass jar) and he came back with custard powder :eyeroll:

Hey, Wow crazy times head for you! Congrats on last year in uni, your up coming wedding and new house

I've got 2 DDB's and although I'm on a double block now, for a while we stayed with friends and only had our boy DDB then and they had 2 labs in a tiny backyard. They did fine with a nightly on lead walk then a bit of a run on some land. They are such an fantastic breed i don't see myself with anything else.. i think the 'tennis shoe' dangle droll is cute though  Hope you find the perfect breed for your little family!

"POP""THUMP" - thats the champaign cork hitting the ceiling

Latest lot of test result show most of his levels are 1/5 of what they started out to be. Still 5 of them not in the reference range - but we are getting closer.

The specialist doesn't want to see us for a month

Well i can only go from my own experiences and I've only had the pleasure of being involved with them for 3 years now but my 2 are very laid back, they tend to lye around all day until i get home and take them for a walk or run. They are both great with kids (especially ones that think if it's as big as a pony you should be able to ride it ) and they don't drool ALL day long, the movie turner and hooch was a little over exaggerated haha but mostly after eating, drinking and exercise you get dangly bits that look like they have swallowed a tennis show with the laces down each side , although my girl drools a lot more then my boy. Zeus is very protective of our house and who is in it and likes you to know that, Memphis is more quiet just likes to look from a distance. I love going for walks with them i mean you never look as tough as when your walking down the road with two DDB's beside you ;)

There are a few breeders here on DOL that could give you a lot more info then me, it might pay to email some of them but if you have any other questions feel free to PM me and I'll do my best to help :)

They will be the breed i have until I'm old and frail and can no longer have one sitting on me in case it breaks my hip

You get to go to the top of the class Chiko - can I ask which suburb you were in when you crossed paths?

I went to work on MOnday and the guy that has replaced me sent me an email saying his dog was playing with a toller on the weekend. It seems once you start seeing them around - they seem to be everywhere.

Hey there are not many entered in the show tomorrow - only 58 in Group 3 and 78 on Sunday.

Are they local judges?

My week has been good news and bad news... you all know about the spider bite for Toby, then two practical exams and a big chem test (passed the chem test  don't know about the others)... laptop is on the out - don't get me started on insurance companies :mad .... and tonight Toby was running around out the back and ran into a fence picket - two teeth smashed up - going back on Monday to get the bits out, Toby was so nonchalant about it all, starting to think he can't feel pain! Vets were great too. So now Toby is getting green cream on his spiderbite and pain medicene and antibiotics.

I am seriously starting to think if Toby was a human child I would have DCP onto me :o Poor dog!
