Poor Gibbs :) But I am assuming the prognosis is good now it has been done?

Well it's really a waiting game, prognosies for ellbow dysplasia is hardas basically at 8 months he has no cartilage left in his elbow. They have cleaned out the joint, taken all the shards out and the cartilage will repair itself. They cut out a section of the bone of his ulna to make the joint sit on the right bone, the weight was sitting on the wrong bone in his leg. Arthiritis will be a reality pretty early in his life.

So sorry that he and you have to go through this. You just don't know what is around the corner when you bring a puppy home. Not fair.

He is actually doing really well pain wise, he hasn't been whining or crying at all. All I can say RosieFt is I wish I had had him at the specialist sooner. Dr Tom Hill has been fantastic with Gibbs, if we had seen himsoonerperhaps we wouldn't have such damage to the cartilage
