I don't know. I am wondering if Bob is going to feel the need to protect Echo from his new sister.

Today he wanted to attack Tash when she was trying to boss Echo around and got really grumbley.

He is still not happy about dogs playing with Echo to much especially when all on lead and if they make noises.

I'm sure Bob won't be the same with a baby puppy, most likely it will just be one more little sister for him to protect....lol

I still wanna go! I MIGHT just go by myself and hope for the best.

Do I really need to say what I think you should do.... YAY!!! Can't wait ti see Buffy again!! :)

Looking forward to meeting you, your friend and your dogs, Groupfive! p.s OJ sounds fine to me

LM: I have a favour to ask, I'm thinking of using the Hyrdobath for the first time with Dakota on Sunday, she's fairly good at being bathed, but never been blow-dried, reckon you could give me some tips and maybe a helping hand?

Hydrobaths are pretty easy Pip. I've been using them for 5 years (I used to be a dog groomer). Most dogs are ok with the dryer if you start it off on low and work your way up. I'm actually going there tomorrow and plan to bath her after the swim because the chlorine plays havok with her skin so i usually bath her afterwards from the indoor pool lessons. I didnt last week and her skin played up and she had some rashes which has settled down now.

If you like I could easily do her for you I love bathing dogs :)

He is just doing what all big brothers should do and protect his poor defencless sister. It does not matter htat Echo starts it all and enjoys reving other dogs up.

Hi everyone!

This looks like a great idea! I would love to join you guys one day. Unforunately I already had plans for this Sunday, but I will definitely put this in my diary for next month.

Anyways, just to introduce myself. My name is James, I'm very new to this forum (2 days). I'm a young recent Uni graduate in Biochemistry. I have a Rottweiler puppy, his name is Wolf and he's almost 16 weeks old. We started puppy school 2 weeks ago and he's learning at an amazing rate! Would love to bring him out to socialise more! He's doing pretty well as it is with our daily walks around the local parklands, a popular dog destination.

Is there anywhere I can find out more about what you guys do on the day? I saw there is a swimming facility, is that what the pooches get to enjoy as they wish or is it extra?

Hope to chat with you all soon!

James

Between the times 10-2 (or3) we have the outdoor pool booked for our use. If no one else is around to use out of those times we can use it longer. Most people are not crazy enough to take their dogs swimming in winter so there is usually not a rush to push us out.

There are quite a few runs we can use including an agility area and a sand run.

I suppose that is the good thing about Bob being so small even though he does not like it he can't get away. Not that he has tried to he will just stand there and sulk and try to hide beforehand if he thinks you are making a bath ready for him.

look forward to seeing you at the next one jqw! You can use the outdoor lagoon pool as part of the $15 per dog cost, if you want to use the indoor heated pool its extra and you need to book it with Kepala. The indoor one is generally used for training/hydrotherapy, the outdoor lagoon pool is the fun doggy pool

I have just discovered this thread and think it sounds awesome! Won't be able to make it this sunday but might aim for August. What do you need to bring? Dog vaccination cards? Water? I'd be bringing a dobe and a deerhound ;)

Be great to see you  All you need is yourself, your dog and whatever you are bringing for the BBQ lunch we do (everyone brings a plate, or $5.00) Cost is $15 per dog, for that we get the outdoor lagoon pool, our dedicated run and if the other runs (agility and sand runs) are not in use (as is usually the case), those as well. If you want to use the indoor pool (which is used for hydrotherapy and swimming lessons mostly) you need to book that seperately with Kepala. If you want to use the hydro baths, thats extra too.

Any questions just ask!

;) A dobe and a deerhound! :D AWESOME.

ETA: Don't need your vaccinations card. A blanket for your dogs while we eat is handy, water bowl, dog towels if you want them.

I'm bring my dog crates on Sunday.
