From ABC online news:

A pet dog has cornered a burglar at a home in Bertram, south of Perth.

A couple inside the home were woken by someone trying to open their front door about 1:00am (AWST).

Police say they then heard someone jumping over their side fence and their dog began barking in the back yard.

They rushed outside to see their bull mastiff had bailed a man up into a corner.

The dog held him there until police arrived.

The man has been charged with trespass.

Police later found he was wanted on a warrant to return to prison.

Good dog!

In Brisbane some time back, a bloke was being chased by the police thro' the suburbs & he jumped over a high fence. Right on top of someone's pet Rottweiler.... who was understandably annoyed & grabbed his leg and held him. The police easily caught him.... & said they thanked the Rottie & took the bloke to hospital to get his leg checked.

Good story......

The media probably only has pics of bull breeds to use in stories as they usually only report bad ones!!!!!

They don't realise there are other breeds of dogs!!! rofl1.gif

Maybe someone should send them a breed ID poster or a pic of a real Bullmastiff

Haha! The ABC article didn't have a photo when I posted this morning. I was looking forward to a photo of the hero Bullmastiff (I have a bit of a soft spot for them).

Oh well, Bridie did a good job anyway. :)
