  1. Who here enjoys the training but has no real desire to compete?? For me I find the fun goes out of it when I start thinking about working towards competing. Wondering how to keep the fun going and keep the pressure off myself and in turn the dog.
  2. Yeah I think that there are probably other foods you could put on a research list.
  3. I fed RC to my border when he was a pup but he wasn't very keen on it. I either feed Eagle Pack Holistic or Proplan Sensitive.
  4. I don't know about that! I went to obedience training last night and still got woken up at some annoying hour this morning! Ok there were stupid hot air ballons going overhead!
  5. Why didn't you like it tollersowned? Mmmm maybe I should get tollers as that would solve the problem....I am on red dirt and am sick of explaining to people why my border is black and orange!
  6. The couple of weeks before daylight savings drive me nuts. I wake up, the dogs wake up. Blah. Roll on the weekend!
  7. How much did the plumber charge Dougal? I just had a quote for $1200 to put tapes outside, which I thought was a bit much considering the water isn't very far.
  8. What sort of format does Berwick use to teach agility? I go to Croydon but am having trouble fitting both obedience and agility in! So might have to go somewhere else to do agility.
  9. Yeah! Well done. How good did you feel???
  10. Fido's are selling them $380. They are bath on legs. Has a hose attachment that you hook up to your water. Doesn't have the pressure of a hydrobath.
  11. Has anyone got or used one of the booster baths? Any good? Getting old and sick of washing the dogs on the ground
  12. Hard lesson to learn t(AD)pole! But good on you for looking at the positives, that your dog ran well.
  13. Kelpie - could you explain this method pretty please - "For more difficult dogs and those who refuse to offer a drop, we use the lure with successive approximation approach...works every time!"
  14. Oh bugger that you were clear t(AD)pole! I was the grabber! (well she jumped in my lap technically!) I think she bolted over because your dad and all your stuff was there. Maybe don't set up camp right near your ring? My brags for the weekend are Brock passed his first agility class at club and I taught my first class! A puppy class. Everyone seemed happy at the end of it so I guess I went ok!
  15. On the quantities fed I do find my dogs are a bit grumpy about the lower qty fed of the premium food. Has anyone else found their dogs looked dissatisfied by the amount?? Mine will look in their bowls with a 'is that all' look!
  16. I had something similar for my first border, years ago. It did work well for walking.
  17. I have a mars coat king for my borders and it does work well. Don't use one on a show dog though.
  18. So it would be bad if Leo left the ring for a snuggle??
  19. Thanks Leopuppy! Are allowed at agility trials?? Where's Shoey??
  20. Could someone tell me were the Westernport Agility comp is going to be this Sat?? and times. I want to go along and have a look at what I am working towards!! Also I know there is a site that lists comps could I have a link for that please. Thanks!
  21. Thanks guys. I told them to try a tug toy. They had pretty good treats and pup hadn't been fed.
  22. Luring from sit/stand too. Stationary. Used the under the legs method the other week for a puppy that wasn't having a bar of being lured, worked very well.
  23. I am not sure what you are asking? Do you think you were unfairly treated?
  24. Oh sorry to hear that Dogdude Congrats on your obedience performance though.
