whether this is the case or not, it is totally disgusting. It is indeed disgusting. Same happened to a friend when her dog died of heatstroke from mismanagement at a boarding kennel. They think they will avoid liability somehow by not admitting anything. Doesn't really help much from a legal point of view. But shows them up as the arseholes they are. Same attitude is being adopted in the thread about dog being bitten at kennels. The dogs owners are going through so much grief, yet the businesses can't even extend the hand of sympathy.

whether this is the case or not, it is totally disgusting. Caz, keep up your strength and maintain your rage for Buddy - and other dogs who may enter that salon. OMG!! Ella, that must haunt you daily. . I feel sick to think of the hundreds of time I have cheerfully left dogs at groomers. I did walk in on one once to see one of the groomers THROWING a dog onto to table. Yes, we have a very litigious society which prevents people from offering even a word of sympathy and, as you say, will lie about even the smallest things. Then, when tragedy strikes, people like Caz and Buddy have to suffer even more.

Dog Bitten While In Boarding Kennel
Loving my Oldies replied to Bisart Dobes's topic in General Dog Discussion
It's not good, but at least they didnt try to make something up to cover themselves. Huh. Not good even comes close. The owner should have added, "But, I will not rest until I find out what happened." -
Dog Bitten While In Boarding Kennel
Loving my Oldies replied to Bisart Dobes's topic in General Dog Discussion
Totally. Absolute garbage on the part of the owner. He/she should be moving heaven and earth to find out what happened. Someone is not coming forward. I hope your friends take this further. Five days without treatment. Was the dog even fed???? -
My dear dear Caz, you must be in such a turmoil of anger, sorrow, disbelief, recriminations..... such a tragedy. I too feel sick to the stomach at what has happened. You are right: something does need to be done and when you are up to it, you need to consult a lawyer. As others have said, nothing can bring back Buddy, but the salon has to be made to take responsibility. Frankly, I'd be out the front with a placard and walking up and down in front of their premises. You are the biggest softy out, Caz, but don't let that kick in and start feeling sorry for the groomers. They must have left Buddy alone for at the very least several minutes. Oh, Caz. Such a tragedy.

I would imagine so, but we are just having fun with imaginations.

Nah, he's thinking: gosh I hope none of my friends see me out with this little fella. What I loved was the seriousness of the little boy going back and forth through the puddle. Wonderful little video

I thought of this thread last night . Myrtie was at SASH (emergency and specialist hospital in Ryde, Sydney) with a bout of HGE. I went over to walk her to see if she could poop and decided to take Tamar with me as a walking buddy for Myrtie. [Obviously, I was just going to take her to a grassy patch to let her sniff, not to a two hour cross country - LOL.] Anyway, big mistake. The waiting room was hugely busy with several couples/families visiting dogs, taking dogs home, admitting dogs. Wish I had shares in the organisation  . Poor Tamar was extremely put off by all the activity and was keep very close to me. Unfortunately for her in terms of getting attention, she is very very cute. I was sitting down and caressing her ears to try to take her mind of things when another woman was called by the receptionist, she leapt to her feet very quickly and, as she passed us, bent down thrust out her hand, snapped her fingers in Tamar's face and patted her. It happened very quickly, but I managed to get in a sharp, "Don't, she is very timid." My mistake for taking Tamar, I know, but people can be so forward where dogs (and babies) are concerned.

Even if he tried, all the other neighbours are on my side. To show how petty he is, I have put a bowl of water for the birds because they are thirsty, the last two days, he has emptied the bowl & thrown it into the bushes, the guy is a sociopath. Nasty piece of work. Ignore Ignore Ignore. With these sorts of people, no amount of "being nice" or just simple politeness works.

. Depends how short of cash his lawyer is :D

That photo is amazing. Rest easy, Oi

I know it is expensive, but can't cataracts be removed and artificial lenses inserted? Or do cataracts differ in as much some can be operated in and some can't. My Bunter was completely blind when I rescued him from Renbury. I am considerably poorer and much needed repairs to the house are now just a distance hope  but Bunter can see.

Yes, but Stan is a one off and (I think  ) the Boss.

I am very sad to read this thread, Persepone. Rest easy Oi. No matter how many dogs we have, the absence of one is always hard, whether permanent or temporary. (Myrtie is in emergency care at the moment with second bout of HGE in less than 12 months. She is progressing well.) Remember that wonderful photograph you posted a long time ago? It is on dawn and the dogs are a fair way ahead of you on a road? Is Oi in that? Can you post again, please.

Whether you want to or not. :D Off you go. One dog! So easy.

Torn Ear In Senior Dog (14.5 Yrs Old Lab Boy) -
Loving my Oldies replied to labadore's topic in General Dog Discussion
What a dreadful experience for you and your old boy and I sincerely wish him a speedy recovery and for you to be able to have a many more precious days with him. I imagine treatment depends on badly ripped your dog's ear is, but sometimes ears are better off with the minimum of intervention, because they bleed very easily and profusely. A snood for protection as Persephone has suggested and maybe just taping the rip instead of any more scraping and shaving. -
Beautiful. His coat looks absolutely superb. I'd love to say "perfect" actually and I hope future judges think the same

This. But they are all soooooooo good. What brilliant photographers we are privileged to have on DOL.
