  1. Thinking of you kelpiepupmum . RIP Clapton.. run free over the rainbow bridge ...Our Jenna will be there to greet you with her waggy tail
  2. Hi Darien I Totally understand how you and everyone else feels.. I lost my Jenna a few years ago on Feb 14. Valentine's Day (I hate that day now!) We have a big framed pic of her on our loungeroom wall, and some tribute stuff of hers on display.. her very worn collar and her urn .. I often call Joey, Jenna.. They stay in your heart forever .. Jenna used to love empty toilet rolls, when i was sitting on the loo, and I always go to give them to our two when they come in with me, but they are never interested Same with empty coke bottles, Jenna used to love playing with them... but Joey and Renae couldn't care less about them too big for their mouths anyway ! hehe
  3. RIP Odin .. Thinking of you Vienna *Gentle Hugs*
  4. I agree ! I have been with flickr for years (and have a couple groups I started years ago.. one being 'Animal Addiction!'. Check out my signature '-) I am not keen on their new format tho I have also used photobucket ..
  5. What a very precious and beautiful tribute Cassie .. My apologies for not having been back in touch with you yet xoxo
  6. RIP Sophie Thinking of you CavNRott *HUGS*
  7. Yeah some cavs are prone to having sensitive stomachs (Joey's one of them), but he has been good for ages now ... but i still won't take chances with giving him raw eggs just in case.. I guess dogs are like humans, in that we all react to different things for different reasons..
  8. I haven't read this whole thread, but Joey can't tolerate raw eggs at all (not sure about cooked?). Even when i have diluted it with water, he throws up after, so i don't give them to him anymore.. Renae on the other hand has a iron gut, and they have never affected her
  9. Hi everyone Nothing set in concrete yet, but my husband really wants a Nikon D300 !!!! He's been into photography for years, and we have a Nikon D50. It has been used a fair bit !!! but is in great working condition still ! ;) I don't think he's intending on selling any of his lenses ( apart from the kit one). Will use them for the D300. He's been looking into the D300 for a while now, but lack of money has stopped him from getting one. He doesn't know i am writing this, but if anyone is looking around for a second hand D50, let me know I'm not sure how much he would want for it, or how much they are going for second hand these days? ( probably not a lot) So just putting it out there, if anyone might be on the lookout for one at some stage ? ;) Oh and reason i haven't put this in the buy, sell section yet, is because it's not 'official' just yet ..
  10. If you lived in Adelaide, i could have recommended a place that you may have got a great deal with one !
  11. Hi Tommy When we first got Joey, ( he was a lot older than yours), he fretted for a while and didn't eat much. We had to hand feed him quite a few times.. We remained in contact with his breeder, to be reassured about our concerns.. I remember we were like first time parents, and we were at the vets nearly every couple days in the beginning :D Some Cavs can have sensitive stomachs ( Joey is one of them, altho he hasn't had any problems for ages now) Both my Cavs arn't fussy eaters, quite the opposite actually ! LOL (altho Joey picks at his food slowly. Renae inhales hers in seconds! ) If you are concerned ( which you are ), speak to his breeder again( she/he should be the best one to advise you), or take him to another vet, or a holistic one .. Hope he starts picking up soon! It can take time to settle into a new environment ... By the way Joey is quite small, but it's just his build and we love him just the way he is ! In fact his show name was 'Just As I Am'
  12. I am paranoid about lumps, after losing Jenna to one Renae has a fatty tissue lump on the underside of her tail, which is not meant to be anything to worry about.. I get it checked every time i take her to the vets for a general checkup ( plus i keep an close eye on it all the time as well) It pays to get them checked out asap IMO ! Hope your dog is ok, ruthless ?
  13. LOL ! You could come with us Helen (we are married, but don't have any kids) , if you get yourself a tent !! You could pitch it up next to our caravan We even have a deluxe double ensuite shower and toilet tent I'm not sure if anyone has put up a link yet to these type soft crates (sorry if any one has), but we were considering these also at one stage (altho we intend for our two to sleep in the caravan with us, so there's probably no need for them) http://www.forpamperedpets.co.uk/acatalog/...dog_crates.html
  14. Yeah that's what some dolers were recommending for us to get, but there was none in stock at any of the stores here at the time !!! :D Everyone must of been thinking the same thing at the same time LOL
  15. Hi MotherKing We recently bought a caravan, and we are about to start using it more soon (We have been waiting to be able afford some new tyres for our 4 wheel drive) We have gone on a couple maiden trips with it, but not with Joey or Renae yet ( as my parents were living with us at the time, so looked after them) We have just recently bought a enclosure pen for them when we go away.. so we are almost ready to experiment with the next trip , but with them this time ! Mine are both older, not a puppy like yours, and we only going away over the weekends at the most.. I think you will all be fine !! Have fun ! ;)
  16. Is there a human version of it yet ??? Seeing how it has been had positive effects on a couple of my dogs in the past, I sure could do with it also !
  17. My old dog Jenna had very bad arthritis as well, I used to give her glucosamine tablets, and she was also having cartrophen injections at the vets . Both helped her so much !
  18. I can't recall having given any of my dogs i have owned 'fruit' .. A few of the Cav owners in the Cavalier breed thread were saying how they give theirs some banana, so i tried a small bit with my two just before Joey turned his nose up at it, but Renae loved it !! Might give her a small amount every so often
  19. Ok my DH made a slide show for me with some pics... so I might not need a greeting card now, but Bilbo_Baggins_Junior has kindly offered to help me out if i still want one done Thank you Bilbo_Baggins_Junior, you are a legend !!!
  20. Very sad RIP Rowdy (and all the other animals involved) ...
  21. Hi It's Joey's 4th birthday tomorrow, and i am planning on taking a pic of him with a cake or something today... I was wondering if i take a Photo, and it will just be a fairly simple capture, if someone who loves being creative, can turn it into a birthday greeting type of thing for me to upload tomorrow at some stage??? So if anyone has time later today/tonight, could you let me know I don't need it to be too elaborate  I would really appreciate it if someone is able to help me  DH knows how to use PS, but not in the creative type of way i would like it done
  22. Henry is very very cute !!! Great video too of his' Perfect Day' !!
