  1. Thanks you cavmad, Onslowsmum and graciek9 for responding Onslowsmum, i understand how you feel about Poppy, i'm still like that with Jenna RIP cavmad and graciek9, i'm still trying to load that site for those doors, to see what you both mean? but it won't load Yes i can relate graciek9, Renae doesn't like getting her paws wet and dirty either (usually), during the Winter months :D
  2. Hmmm Joey and Renae have been getting lazy at nights, and have had a few no 1 accidents :D It's been since the weather has turned cold, wet and windy... We used to keep the back door opened a little bit (can't have doggy door, as we are in a rental house), but since it's gone cold, we now don't leave it open. Also because we don't let out cat outside anymore , the door stays shut all the time now. They do try to tell us they need to go outside, and usually we will wake up on and off during the night to let them out... but lately with it being so damn cold , and with us being even more tired , we haven't been getting up when they get restless. Any ideas on how to combat this problem we are having atm?? During Summer, they are always really good, plus we sleep lighter and get up more to let them out . They have free roam of the house, which is mainly carpeted.. Thanks
  3. RIP Cara .... I'm so very sorry to hear this Hesapandabear . My heart goes out to you .
  4. I am so very sorry for your loss Kristie .. RIP sweet Barker .. *Hugs* Jules xx
  5. Wow they are all impressive creations !!!! (Well done Doglover and Harminee also !) A friend of mine from flickr does them . She's 60 and has Parkinson's Disease , so she does well to be able to such wonderful Oob's !! Here's one she did for me a while back using heaps of my pet pics Sorry if it' too big for some of you, but its better viewed this size for the details. and if you get a chance, here's a link to her photostream (people give her their pics to create something out of them) http://www.flickr.com/photos/tabamajic/
  6. ok i will, it will probably be just karmas eyes, same as the one u did (unless i can find another easy pic to practice on at some stage) ;) next question then LOL what's an easy way to get rid of stuff on a image eg twigs, that are covering up a good view of a bird? or is that too difficult? Thanks again
  7. Oh wow, that looks great Vickie ! I won't even ask you how you did that? i'm still getting to the bottom of the colour selective technique atm hehe ('think' i have worked it out)
  8. Thanks Freckles I had it worked out, but i went to try it again and something has gone wrong with the settings, it looks different now (must have clicked on something else in the process) I will try it again after, and if i have any more problems i will pm you, so i don't clutter up this thread too much LOL
  9. Freckles , i'm sort of attempting it now when i pressed the ctl+u , it didn't automatically go black and white but brought up a box with hues, saturation etc, so i played around with those settings till it went black and white but obliviously (sp?) i still need to get the 'right' shade of black and white ..(im just doing it quickly atm, so i can understand what you mean:) ) now where you say 'black' paint, what does that actually mean? do i just use the brush tool and go click over the eyes with it to bring the colour out? Do i need to do anything else to make them brighter (eyes) ? or do i leave it how it shows up? thanks for your help ! it seems heaps easier than the way my husband has been showing me !!! :D
  10. Thankyou Freckles ! will give that a go also ! :D Better start practicing shouldn't i ! ;)
  11. RIP Nippa Hugs to you Bertie (and family)
  12. Thankyou Vickie !!! ) I will go and add you too now as well ! :D Thanks for the 'PS' tip, I will try it out at some stage (there is one pic of Karma in her photo set, where hubby just did her eyes hehe), but i need to have a go at doing it as well
  13. Oh you guys make it look so easy!!! I do a lot of photography (see my link in my signature), but my husband does the post processing (basic) on most of them for me (he's not really into arty type photoshoping) We have adobe photoshop 6, but for the life of me i can't work it out !! I get impatient when DH tries to teach me (bit like when your father tried to teach you to drive a car hehe) I really can't grasp the colour selective technique (colour feature on black and white background), is there a real 'easy' way to explain it to someone like me (and to be able to do it) ?
  14. Thanks everyone for your suggestions and input !!! Will give them a go I don't know why she does it, and Joey doesn't ? Maybe they are all individual in their habits, just like we are .
  15. Thanks :D they get one biscuit each in the mornings... a arrowroot and at night they get a small scoop of dry food (each) with a small amount of meat..
  16. Thanks everyone for the great ideas !!! She doesn't get a lot as it is, so i can't imagine spreading the little bit she gets, all around on a tray.. but anything is worth a try at this point !!
  17. Thanks MyCatMilo :D I know we are meant to do searches on topics, but i forgot to Ok must find out about those dishes :D Thanks!
  18. I think so cavmad!!! Renae even does the snorting thing , while i'm preparing her meal!! I know cavs are known for their obsession for food, but Joeys not as bad as her!! LOL maybe its a female cav thing??
  19. My Renae loves her food, too much !!! Think she takes after me ! But..................... She eats at a ridiculous speed. I've never noticed any of my dogs to eat like that before.. and i've always had 2 dogs at a time...most of my life I feed her in a separate spot to Joey... I swear she doesn't even chew it, she just gulps it down ... I have cut her meals sizes down, as she has put on weight... but she did it even when they were larger sizes. I do tell her firmly to slow down.. but its like she gets transfixed soon as her plate is put down in front of her .. Joey is the total opposite, he eats quite slowly. Any advice appreciated..Thanks !
