No marks, but guess it is a bit tender ..GOOF - normal dogs would get ONE leg stuck , and be satisfied ;) We are lucky - it is rarely we have accidents with the pack... (dog bites, cuts & missing nails don't count ) :p

Heard horrible dog cries from outside .. to find Smoke & Widget lunging at Don , who was writhing around with BOTH front legs caught in an old iron pot plant stand that had tipped over.he was screaming the place down!, The legs of it being a narrow shaped V .. one leg had slid in to the elbow, but the worst one was 4 toes caught, right at the V point!! he had wet himself , and was not in a good state . After threatening the other two with unholy injuries .. and securing Don's mouth ..( yes he did try & bite, as he was cuddling me asking for help- ) the batteries on the torch started to die ...really improving the experience .! he settled a bit after I had scared the other two away( as you would) ..and the sweet boy even lay down when I asked him .. awwww... I got the whole leg out easily - but the toes , for some reason, would not slide ... so , adrenaline and rusty old metal meant I could widen the V considerably and he slipped the foot free. Very sore ..but I don't 'think' anything's broken . he is now inside enjoying a peanut butter piece of toast, and the stand is WELL away from dogs . it could only happen to him, I'm sure ...goofy beast . *sigh*

I strongly suggest you grab your camera, and a cuppa ..and start reading ;) HERE and HERE for starters anyway :D have fun!

..and some dogs , like people always seem "hungry " - dogs are opportunistic . Chewing on a bony meal , like a half chicken carcass , or WHOLE raw chicken wing( both almost frozen) is a great way to help them feel more satisfied :) Chewing releases those 'feel -good' hormones - and chewing for 5 -15 minutes lets their bodies know they have had a good meal :)

:) photos are a MUST-DO :) ;) * thinks just how much things have changed since the 70's/80's when I was a Melbourne dog owner - no dog parks then , and very few dogs at places like Darebin Parklands, Hay's Paddock/Brighton Beach .. and out Diamond Creek way ... 'twas wonderful :) All we had to do was stay away from Greyhounds being exercised .

resist going on D O L ? Good luck with that!! It often needs to be done with assistance :p :p

Thistle is a fortunate and much adored girl ( and gorgeous) :) I hope the strategy you are using does all that you wish . I also hope that she stays safe :) There is a poster called Snook , who has the amazing JUSTICE dog . Search for her posts , as Justice , an older fellow has his demons too ... and thanks to his amazing 'mum' enjoys life to the full .

Hi . A couple of things - "cage" /crate training does NOT mean pup stays inside a crate for 7 hrs at a time .. In a smallish room , a six month old would possibly be bored - so pee pads are certainly a good toy :) How did you first toilet train her ? Did you use rewards ? have you taught her a particular place and/or word that she has now 'forgotten'? Has she been to the vet in case she has an infection? if she is not speyed, there IS a possibility she may be coming in season for the first time .... bitches , under the influence of hormones, pee everywhere to 'advertise' if she is spending all day in a small room ..and then all night .. she possibly is not learning to toilet well away from her bed & food .... she has learned to toilet indoors now ... I suggest getting her vet checked if you haven't - then we can help you with her training :) " i do not have all day to sit and watch her to train her " You may have to make the time - at least on a couple of days . She cannot learn what YOU want , without a lot of help from you ;)

thanks to D O L - goofy Don has new gear :)

F10 is probably the ONLY one which will kill anything nasty . lordy - EVERYTHING is carcinogenic if used/imbibed for long enough. Why then do breeders/vets /dog owners use this so much ? yes, it has been tested on rats/mice, and found to be carcinogenic AT HIGH LEVELS . there are also these to be read ... CLICK CLICK which is where THIS comes from - Carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and toxicity for reproduction : Based on data for the raw materials, no carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxicity forreproduction is predicted

:) LOL @ the change from chiX to lab!! yes-- take your time , enjoy "window shopping" , and reading some of the info from D O L , like this THREAD HERE
-
Definitely save any emails /paperwork /ans machine messages . Contact the Dept of Fair Trade. I am so sorry The "breeder" certainly does not sound an ethical and /or careful breeder.... and has caused much grief to your family . AND please buy some F10 disinfectant (from vet) ... and thoroughly wash /spray everywhere puppy has been -- throw away bedding /toys ...and be sure to use disinfectant where pups toileted . This is to help protect the next puppy . if/when you get a new puppy .. you can do so with 'our' D O L help , and we can guide you in your search for a healthy puppy . even after disinfecting - you will now need to avoid pups in your yard /house for several months to avoid them getting ill as well. best of luck in your dealings with this breeder .
