  1. Of course they are ! :) :) They are doing so well ..congratulations on your training!
  2. poor dog has possibly had a UTI for a week or more ................. I hope the vet visit is VERY soon.
  3. To be useful, and able to be accurately tested, the sample will need to be fresh ..from memory less than 24 hrs old .
  4. OK.... now all someone needs to do is make a D O L book out of these gorgeous memories !!!! :)
  5. Awwwww :) Kieran always did it very deferentially ..it was certainly not a "yes! Come with me now!" - it was almost as if he had finally found a way to breach the communication barrier, and was just SO pleased that he could do so :)
  6. She could have kennel cough, and a bladder infection, or it could be any one of a number of issues ..unfortunately a vet visit (with urine in hand) and maybe blood tests are about the the only way to find out
  7. Oh gosh..I have just so very many ........ One that sprang to mind was of my absolutely gorgeous Kieran ..who was a 'pig dog'..daneXdeerhoundX ? 42 kg.scruffer. He was fascinated by rabbits ..and one day caught one . he brought it to me ..must have shifted his grip ...rabbit squealed, Kieran dropped it , and then ran to hide behind my legs!!! :D It was so funny . Kieran is also the only dog I've had who slept on my bed ....but not all the time , and mostly in Winter, where he would lie along my back ..and provide a wonderful warm comfort if I was feeling not the best . I also remember walking kieran thru a crowded mall ..and he was feeling very mellow and happy, so he gently took a lady by the hand and walked along with her - tail wagging happily ...funny thing was, the lady did not appreciate it .At all He used to often walk me like this ..ever so gently....
  8. That's possibly for young pups ? 12 hrs is really only overnight - which most dogs do every single day :)
  9. even if you think it may be worms ... the rule is to NEVER worm a sick dog (unless it's done by a vet) I hope she gets some help tomorrow ..and no food tonight will not harm her at all - but it WILL give her poor gut a rest and a chance to start healing :)
  10. ..R I P Panda .. I am so sorry he had to leave
  11. :) have you ever had anaesthetic? It can make you feel quite odd and disoriented and it is a bit upsetting when arms&legs don't work the way you want :p Just leave him quiet ....and no, he will not need food tonight.... unless he is absolutely wide awake as normal. Make sure he is somewhere safe-- so he doesn't try to walk down steps, or jump onto things .
  12. I'm glad she's safe .. & glad some kind folks found her ! perhaps she climbed over somewhere?
  13. She is beautiful .. and now I'm looking forward to gangly foal pics!
  14. Lovely tight feet :) Pretty markings, too!
  15. :) Looking forward to seeing her in action via photos! What great news for you :)
  16. I also wish Captions were permitted ... it helps . Anyway ..amazing countryside!! I like number 3 A lot. There is lots to rest my eye on ..and with a bit of tweaking .. that little log area can be helped along, I'm sure. Technically wise- I have NO idea, sorry ..I just know which one I came back to . :)
  17. Maybe ....... ..she also needs to be TAUGHT which items she can have .. and crating her won't really do this ... if she is, however attached to you via a lead ..you can be there to guide her ..and channel her activity /interest into things she IS allowed :) You also both get to know each other's moves/body language really well .
  18. I usually soak a tissue or swab in saline , and rip it gently into the corner ..with my hand in the centre of dog's head .. obviously cold liquid is a shock .. so room temp or SLIGHTLY warm is more comfortable :)
  19. Sorry you lost your mate ... she leave you with so many warm and comforting memories to help with the physical loss ...
