  1. At this stage, your little dog is concentrating on himself, and what pain etc he is feeling... he will just need to rest , and won't fret much unless he sees you again... I am so pleased he is finally in hospital ! Hope he improves with good treatment now Oh..and no way. Pancreatitus is a very painful and debilitating disease and can be fatal. My bolded bit.
  2. The best bones are the non-weight bearing ones ..i.e. NOT leg bones. beef ribs/lamb ribs..whole necks ,NOT neck 'chops' oxtail, chicken frames .. roo tails....
  3. especially as it's going slowly thru........ Hopefully the new vet will be able to help. It must be such a worry
  4. perhaps try a whole chicken wing instead :D You can also part freeze it.. so they don't gulp it down ....
  5. Please take this little man to a vet hospital,or a different vet now--- he sounds very, very ill ,and in pain. :D You also need to know what's happening, for your peace of mind.
  6. Dogs can understand "Dog", the language :D There are lots of things in a dog's body language/voice to indicate aggression ....
  7. Thanks, Kirislin ..It is a friend's camera (her 'old' one ) she was visiting... and we went for a short walk so I could have a go.I have never used one before..and as the lens alone cost 1,000 ..I was petrified of damaging something!! It was a really windy afternoon ..that web was continually moving- so teh rest of the pics were very blurred
  8. Some puppies do get ahead - but some ,born with some physical condition which precludes them from being well nourished , will not. Some puppies just don't thrive. When you say is there another, yet smaller puppy? I guess I'd be concerned if there were two very tiny pups in a litter... do they all look round & content, with heads the same shape, or do the smaller ones really stick out?
  9. WoW - some great captures! this one tho . http://img.photobucket.com/albums/0603/fly...RP/P9224783.jpg
  10. Awwww I love that last one- the hands with character...wrinkles...and the wrinkly little face of the puppy
  11. Looking good! - any without people .. and with just that handsome dog?????
  12. River scene Spider I only took 12 ..and out of those only 4 were worth keeping here are my two favourites .
  13. When working with guide dogs...and being involved with the breeding . I used to do all the dewclaws at a day or so old .It was easier for visually impaired folks to just clip the main claws..and there was less likelihood of scratches ..which, in diabetic folks, can be nasty . Our working dogs ... if we ever have a pup born with rear dews..I whip them off - but we don't bother with front ones.. and although we have the odd dog rip off nails- have never had anything serious occur.
  14. Our dogs rarely get bathed.. but it is then done with a bar of ordinary Velvet laundry soap leaves them so shiny and sweet smelling We also use vetadine if anyone has skin issues ..or betadine scrub.
  15. I don't watch the show - he is far too good looking and 'smooth' to be taken seriously
  16. Just a question... When you put pics on DOL why do you upload from an internet site? Why not just upload from your computer? I find it SO much easier:)
  17. My guess is the photo quality is up to you - it's the quality of the images you upload/store... Most of my flickr images are small ..around 200kb...just for keeping my upload limit low My redbubble ones however are all full res .(not as many)
  18. Ok...hope all now stays where it should ....
  19. I don't put up heaps of pics.. and prefer flickr. Photobucket is too complicated for me most of the time For uploading to DOL- I just grab photos off my computer..and emailing- Picasa does that ,as I use gmail. Most of my friends are on flickr- so we can share images/comments .It is also customisable -choose friends/family etc to view images.
  20. A doe & joey would be easy prey. Does are not usually robust enough to drown/damage a dog. Can you report them?
