  1. Camera- Hmm..had a brief play with a friend's 450D ...and was very pleased to hand it back had a decent sized lens on it..so was very heavy ..and I didnt get along at all happily with either auto or manual focus I have now slowed right down
  2. if there is no vet available- maybe ph> the emergency number anyhow ....keep him warm and crated tonight- no steps ,being picked up or on furniture..and vet first thing in the morning ! If he's not a chewer, perhaps give him a warm wheat bag or HW bottle, well wrapped Poor little man
  3. A friend who stayed here for a few days gave me this today as a 'thank you' .I think I have ruined it though :D I've been drooling on it LINK :D :)
  4. ACP= acetylpromazine. I'm not sure- BUT I think it only affects muscles etc... I think a dog can still be petrified/anxious/fearful, but wobbly/woozy .. ?? That's what I was told, anyhow- that it can be dangerous because of uncoordinated movements. as a dog tries to cope. As a pre med it's ok but I am cautious about using it in a case like this ...
  5. Your daughter has now a furry lifesaver!!
  6. You may be interested in having a look HERE No artichoke, but it could be very helpful
  7. Hamlet does it ,and my boy kieran used to as well I like it .
  8. Anti histamine tablets? Aloe vera gel like THIS I have used it on our dogs for burns/itches.
  9. I would be telling them their yard/shed is probably contaminated, and any other dogs they get will also die. That way they may not get new ones.
  10. The poor dog :D I hope you can get him some sort of sedatives to help out-
  11. It does ,however circulate the air ... Hamlet has his fan on him all night in Summer .. otherwise he puffs & pants & wriggles . With his fan on- peace! No aircon .
  12. It could be a tummy bug as well... My suggestion is a vet visit fairly soon ...just so you can know exactly what's happening .
  13. If it is only a few minutes after- then by all means let him clean up! And, if he doesn't vomit again- I would suspect it is not a 'reaction' to an ingredient.... perhaps make feed time a game... break his meal up into 4 or 5 little mouthfuls , and place them on plates around the yard/house for him to seek out? (don't let him watch) Also make mealtime boring..... don't let him watch preparation ..don't use you voice to get him excited about dinner
  14. Nice photo!! She looks a real sophisticate
  15. I am so sorry you are in such a situation ... He is gorgeous... and, he has NO idea what 'ill' is, or that he is probably going to die very soon .. All he knows is his owner loves him very much . :) If it were me I would hold him and kiss him and give him his wings...I would not put him through such a big surgery. ( or myself)
  16. After he vomits- what happens? Does he eat it and keep it down- or do you give him something different?
  17. Should be put up on a site somewhere to show just how bloodthirsty greys can be!People need to KNOW!! This should not be kept under wraps!! Gorgeous! Thankyou
  18. Does he throw up immediately.. or some minutes after? Does he gulp it all down, or is it meat with bone he has to work at ,chewing? Often pups will just gulp a big mouthful down.. it hits the bottom...and bounces straight back out again!
  19. Hamlet is sitting here puffing like a steam train, flaked out on the floor--- and it's 10 degrees! provided the dogs are fit & healthy, have somewhere cool to lie.. wet towels/coolbeds inside, and a sandy patch kept damp outside- with a pool in the shade, plenty of water and good airflow, they will be fine! In teh first Summer, pups often take a while to get used to it.. Our working dogs are outside 24/7..and have never seen an airconditioner ;)They have damp sand, and about 10 litres of water, and a shady tree One thing- don't force your dogs to stay indoors/outdoors. Let them find the coolest spot! Also- let them rest - hang up the 'do not disturb' sign !! Dogs will seek out spots where there is a draft,or a solid cooler floor,or somewhere else outside.
  20. Looks like a lot of solid perspex getting in the way of airflow ....
  21. OK.. full vet/chiro check first, perhaps. Playing at her own speed where she wants/how she wants is different than walking on a leash. I would suggest it's fear or pain. Pups have no real reason to be 'stubborn'. Mind you, I don't really believe that dogs can be stubborn, as we humans are... dogs avoid something for good reason, usually.. whether it be boring, scary, painful. I would actually suggest you either video /photograph her and let us have a proper look at her body language... or get a trainer/behaviourist to visit and help you sort it out.
  22. Oh :D So Sorry...so young ...
