  1. I think one reason has been omitted - that other people get to admire your dog's awesomeness
  2. Use your bath or shower alcove with hand-held spray attachment?
  3. How fantastic that you gave her two good years. Hugs to you for your loss. RIP Bebe.
  4. It's always good to get to the bottom of things!
  5. No experience with this, but I hope that your chi is okay!
  6. Ewww. Reminds me of being a small child and seeing a blackbird chick lying on the footpath. I thought it was dead, but then saw it's tummy moving and was so happy it was alive. Until I saw the maggots. Shudders.
  7. Bonnie loves most fruit and veg. Especially cherries at this time of year
  8. Isn't it just! I really like the slighly spooky effect of this one: This one is pretty cool too:
  9. Bonnie the chi gets a chicken neck most nights - good for their teeth too. I'd just be careful with a very young chi to get the smaller necks, some necks look like they come off 10kg sumo chickens
  10. Two more of the world's best chi: This site is addictive
  11. OMG! What a cool site. And the resulting pics are surprisingly small (memory-wise). Here's the bestest chi in the world - Bonnie Not that I'm biased or anything...
  12. Not sure about "beautiful" in this case, but my gas heater sure makes Bonnie's eyes sparkle!
  13. I can only imagine how much hair a dally would lose! I'm always amazed at how much black hair I vacuum up from my floors, yet Bonnie is not the slightest bit bald
  14. I'd much rather my short coat chi, even if she does drop a tonne of hair in spring. Poodles are lovely (my parents always had one), but they are lots of work.
  15. That's pretty scary! Is that re dogs who don't chew them properly?
  16. Maybe chicken wings are better for a cav sized dog, less chance of this happening. Though I wouldn't have thought that a 13 week old pup would be at risk of this?! I feed my Chihuahua chicken necks all the time and she is fine, but due to her small size, no way could she even attempt to swallow one whole
  17. Glad to hear that Bonnie is not the only dog that is really keen on fruit!! Beware of too much mandarin though, bad consequences the next day
  18. How sad re her owner missing her It breaks my heart re elderly/unwell people no longer coping with their pets. The poor thing really is overweight....or maybe she has that infamous "small head" syndrome :D Here's to her enjoying her new male companion and getting fit and trim!
  19. That's not good re her teeth! She does need an intervention! Chis can vary re lifespan, I *think* between 14-18 depending on the individual and how they are looked after. Not to sound morbid, but I'm guessing extremely overweight ones with bad teeth, would tend more towards the 14yo end.... Small dogs don't have to have bad teeth. Bonnie is only 3, but I'm sure she would have grotty teeth by now on tins. As she has chicken necks most nights, they are sparkling white.
  20. What a cutie he was! Sorry for your loss At least he didn't suffer for too long...
