Her attitude to all the good advice she was given was atrocious. So was the sick feeling I had when I heard a whisper she was working for that pound rounds 'sanctuary'. There's good reason I don't come into Rescue forum much any more.

Wow T they look like postcards or advertisements! Great stuff

Lovely TD You should be spontaneous more often and I'm sorry I couldn't join you!

Not Dog Related But Just To Let People Know

Wow congratulations! Hello Tyrone :) -
I don't have a huge amount of experience but I haven't met a Shih X that couldn't look after itself quite well thank you - and cop a bit of rumbling/splatting if necessary! Arrogant tough little bone-heads. I'm going to get one someday to keep! Long walks, supervision, no toys or bones to tempt trouble. I'm keen on desexing because I've only seen positives in behaviour - but maybe it's a small sample. Tired dogs are good dogs. Bored dogs are bad. Triangle of temptation is brilliant!

Can anyone give an opinion (by PM please, of course) of Boombulloom BB pups? For a close friend keen on getting a BB pup. Otherwise, any recommendations for a good breeder gratefully received! Cheers

Oh Will spread the word. He's a nice bloke and dotes on that pup. -
Tapua's dogs often go to work - defense, assistance. She also loves a chat about Labs so would be worth a call :)
-
Me too. Some of those poodle people then spend 3 hours on themselves I reckon!
-
I like the Seseme street one :) Not much scope for me to play with black Lab fur but I wouldn't mind getting Sammy turned into one of those gold-figured black Wedgwood figurines!
-
Another supporter of GRR here, TD beat me to it. Extra grooming and exercise compared with a Grey but GRR are great at placing the right dog in the right household.

Sammy is NOT ok - he had man-surgery! He's whimpering and whining Two weeks ago Jodie had a nasty lump cut off with no whinging and had a ball in her mouth an hour after waking up. Sammy is a sook! He's had his Rimadyl but just keeps whimpering
-
That was such a special story.
-
Sammy's uncomfortable but ok. Luckily the vet didn't have to go into the abdominal cavity. The testicles were together, very deep and had confused tubing so two incisions but not as bad as it all could have been Bill came to $395.85 5 Rimadyl chews $28.50 Consult $40.91 Anaesthetic 21-30 $160 35 minutes of surgery $210 Cone of shame $22.73 Butimidor (not sure what this is) $25 Discount (not sure why but maybe because we're long term clients with too many pets) -$127.27 He's a lovely man, our vet :)
-
Lovely wasn't it! I specially liked the way the dog came out of the tunnel before Hannah
-
How was that allowed? A very smily wiggly well trained tan bull breed doing tricks at Lost Dogs Home? I thought they were all ravenous killers?
-
Sammy has one retained but palpable testicle (according to our vet) and one totally unable to be found. In consultation with his breeder and his good vet, he's going for an op tomorrow. He's starting to show some pushier behaviour in the last few weeks (so there must be some testosterone happening in there somewhere) but I know with training and attention we could control these. However, given the number of entire female dogs within few hundred metres radius let alone 5km, and the busy roads, and our possibly not quite good enough fencing if he was really determined, and our lack of experience in dealing with an entire male, and that he'll have to have the operation one day and will probably get over it faster while young, tomorrow's B-DAY. We've been going through all the options and worrying so much about this decision. He'll probably only be worried about missing breakfast

I thought Tim was great value with awl, it's a pity he's moved on again. -
I have nothing to offer but sympathy! We had one foster Lab a few years ago now who had a very happy whippy tail It bled so easily and one night our hallway looked like a scene from CSI with splatter everywhere - I'm still finding marks in corners and up high! He went to a home with no other dogs and lots of space, but if he'd failed as a foster I think docking would have been a fair option. He just had so much energy to burn it had to leak out somewhere and in his case it wriggled into his tail!

Is Pauline (Tapua) really so great a trainer? Sammy arrived without learning not to chew random stuff - today it's pegs She makes lovely puppies though!
