  1. I love that old tree one!!! Great!!!! All the photos here are fabulous...those that are having difficulty doing it.. I still appreciate you guys trying cause I love seeing piccies! These threads really motivate me to get back into my photography..
  2. I AM SO IMPRESSED WITH EVERYONE'S SUBMISSIONS!!!! People, please don't ever be shy to post what you think are crappy photos... I love seeing ALL of them!! Man I need to visit this section more often!!!! Totally agree! SO GOOD!!! These are my favourite piccies... LOVE THESE ROXY!! No way is that a fail!!! I think that's great! How did you do it? Point a laser pointer around the outside? Or did you go from behind it and draw around it facing the camera? Likewise..how did you do these? That totally worked for me!! Very clever! How did you do it? And I love lea's landscape ones and the leaves one!
  3. Bummer! I want to go! *makes mental note to check this part of DOL more often*
  4. ARGH! I only just found this thread!!!! Did people go? Was it fun? Did I miss out???? *pout* ;)
  5. Wow this sounds so interesting!!!! And video clips?? *gets excited*
  6. Naww...sounds so cute! Sorry I don't have any advice...just wanted to comment that it sounds like you're lucky that he sounds like he's well behaved! Good luck!
  7. Heh. At Cesar Millan's show in Sydney yesterday he showed us how to pop a dog onto a really slow moving treadmill...was great. Dog didn't seem to mind except it was going to slow.
  8. Hey MonElite....how beneficial do you think this would be to someone who has no clue about schutzhund and has no intention of doing it?
  9. Agreed...except I wouldn't push her away. If she jumped up at my face trying to nip I would yet out "NO!!" (or 'No biting!' or whatever word you choose) and simply walk away and ignore her completely for 5-10mins by not looking at her or letting her touch or jump up against your leg. If she started mouthing whilst playing I would do the same thing... yell "NO!!" and stop playing immediately (taking any toys with you and putting them away) and ignore for 5-10mins. At first she might ignore you back and not care that you've left her...but in my experience pups will crave attention and interaction more than the desire to do their own thing.
  10. Ewwwwwwwwww.... And this is another reason why I don't want a boy dog! That would be so ouchie!! :p
  11. Ha. I've tried encouraging my dogs to do that...I think the smooth carpet is comfier than my feet. hehe
  12. Wow...sounds like he's on valium. hehehe.. Sorry I can't offer any advice!
  13. FABULOUS! Did you bounch the flash off the ceiling? Or direct onto them?
  14. Awesome!! How did you get the black background?? Photoshop? What ISO?
  15. Nice! Good sounding song too
  16. Wow thanks for posting these Kavik! Great motivation to get my butt into gear and start learning all the rules and doing this!! I can't believe how eager the dogs are to do the same thing over and over...the bond that they have with their owners must be very strong, and they must love it! :D Anyone else got and vids to share?
  17. Hmm..this makes me think it would be good if there was a thread of people's thoughts and recommendations for clubs...
  18. Oh dear...that's too funny! I'm so glad my dogs aren't like that though... Bummer. I just spent 10 mins searching through a DOLer's posts because I thought the had posted the link of the place where you can order and pay online for a rental... couldn't find it. I know it can be done.... Maybe you'll have better luck searching the rescue threads?
  19. Hehe...guess I'm lucky then. I was just expecting/hoping that my girls would pick it up faster.
  20. Thanks kavik and jigsaw. We've 'charged' the clicker a few times, and we're working on 'touch' with a target stick so the box thing isn't the first. Heh. Dori progressed today to putting both her front paws in the box. Egh. It is SO slow going. I thought my dogs were brighter than this. Jedda still sits at my feet and waits with a tiny little tail wag. And if I start talking to her she'll offer the other few tricks that she knows (sit, drop, bark)...and that's it. Frustrating! Just to clarify...that's not when they're looking at me waiting is it?
  21. Hehehe...once he learns the rules he will loooove you for letting him inside with his family. But I agree with whats been said..he's being good because he's in a strange environment atm... just you wait til he's comfortable! So important to get the ground rules down pat.
  22. Ok...what am I doing wrong if I get to the point where my dog is COMPLETELY and UTTERLY focused on me... Like if they stare at me sitting for over a minute with a tiny little tail wag waiting for instructions? Heh. Even if I talk to them and click any head movement towards the box..they still don't get it. So is it just a few clicks (if that's all I get) and then finish?
