  1. The question should be asked. Is it any of their business??..........No!!!!!!! It is nobody's business or place to stand in judgment as to what type of dog you own as long as you give it the love and care it deserves.

So sorry. It is truly horrible to lose a dog so young R.I.P Gerkin
  3. I guess it depends on the dog. My first BC did very well on Supercoat and this is what her breeder fed her. The boy I have now however had terrible gas to put it mildly from Supercoat, he could clear a room, so eventually after trying a few brands he does well on Eagle Pack.
  4. Now why did I read that as "repeat offenders"????
  5. Ohh I would like to get 4 large and 1 medium this time around. My oldest BC loooves his i-squeak.
  6. I recently visited Helen's Hill Winery in Coldstream, Vic. They have two labs Brutus and Caesar, who according to the vintners received more Christmas cards than they do. They accompany their owners around the vineyard and when we met them they were hanging around the tasting area.
  7. I Have been home approximately 25mins and the i-squeak was located almost immediately and retrieved and there has been squeaking ever since. Last night Wyc squeaked from when I got home until he went to bed, about 45mins. I have given one of the small i-squeaks to a friend with a small dog and will give another one of the medium ones to another friend soon, I will report back on how they are received. These people are not Dolers, I would definitely be interested Ptolomy if there was another order later in the year as I wouldn't mind some large ones.
  8. Thanks ness, he absolutely massacres tennis balls by chewing them, if he finds them out and about, and the medium i-squeaks are just the right size for BCs so it will be definitely rationed.
  9. We also have i-squeaks Thank you Ptolomy. Got here pretty quick. Both dogs sat perfectly in front of me while I unwrapped the package, almost drooling, as I squeaked the package One balled obsessed border collie very excited especially with the squeakiness, he took his under a tree in the yard to squeak it, then bought in out and sat in his clam shell and squeaked , then back under the tree. Eventually he bought it back for me to throw again. Probably have deaf chooks by now as they were under the tree as well. I-squeaks are now inside, dogs are out. My other BC is broken, he can't catch a ball :D , he tries to catch it with his feet, he is only interested in balls if the other dog has it. I have a question has anyone every had an i-squeaks squeak die??? Would be interested to know as too how much squeaking they can withstand.
  10. *deelee, it is heartwarming to read your posts now. Glad you have found a dog that is right for you and your family.
  11. Congratulations to all the winners :D Well done Kate Wyc, Echo, Lily and Angus send big smooches.
  12. I also had an audience trying to check out the laptop when the squeaking started, looking forward to when they arrive. Video is excellent. Many thanks

  16. We like to visit the Warrandyte Market (1st Sat of the Month) followed by an offlead jaunt along the river and a swim. Then the following day go to Hurstbridge Farmers Market. Have also visited Brighton Dog Beach. Enjoy Westerfolds Park in Templestowe for a good on lead walk, lots of hills, other than that just wander about our local area and explore all the new estates popping up.
  17. Brilliant effort Casima My parents visited today so I just managed to fit in a walk before the latest lot of thunderstorms hit. A walk tomorrow is off as I had minor flooding inside the house and before I go to work I need to try and locate my other gumboot that I think was washed away in the rivers running either side of the house as well as ensuring the drains around the house are clear. OT but who would has thought 12 months ago we were sweltering and in shock after the fires and now we are almost drowning!! I seem to spend a lot of time soaked to the skin at the moment!!
  18. We started the week well, walking before work. Planned to go today but more thunderstorms put paid to that, it's good to have the rain but too dangerous to be walking in. Tonight we played with a tuffie inside for a while, including drops and stays, seems to have got rid of the pent up energy of being couped up inside for most of the day. Expecting more storms tomorrow hopefully they are over quickly

  20. Rotten eggs Let me set the scene Two weeks had a yard clean up and found a nest of eggs. Said eggs had been there so long that as I picked them up and threw them in a bag they exploded. I then put this bag at the bottom of another bag that was filled with weeds. I have been binning full bags as we couldn't get to the tip but a few bags are left. Fast forward Wednesday morning walked outside could smell something feral, like something had died, on the way to work, so didn't investigate further, but made mental note to follow up. Wednesday night 11.30pm arrive home. Smell is worse at front gate, put dogs in car, smell permeates car. Drive in gagging. Get dogs out of car, Dog no. 1 has black collar and stinks, still haven't twigged as to what he has rolled was more worried he had got into paddocks next door and rolled in cow poo. Wash dog at midnight. Yay! Next morning go outside see bag on lawn go to investigate, bag now contains black sludge, there was nothing left to suggest this bag contained eggs they were so badly decomposed. The smell was HORRENDOUS. Needless to say this has been binned outside the gate to stop dogs going back for seconds.
  21. Took a wander around the local reservoir park today. If anything I am seeing more of my neighbourhood than I have in the last ten years, different places rather than continually walking in the same areas as I used to
  22. Had to go looking for this thread. We went out Thursday for a walk with my friend the boys were not allowed off lead to swim, but continued on after my friend went home. Tonight we walked the streets, took a couple of detours as I forgot there was a rodeo in town and there was a few revelers about but all good and no dramas That toe still sounds sore Daisy.
