  1. Only 2 trials left for the year - next weekend in Albany which is 4 1/2 hours from Perth and one the second weekend in December.
  2. She sure is ;) Well done again Rubystar + Millie - you were both stars on Friday night. :D Now make sure you bring a popping bottle to the last trial of the year so that we can "pop" it again before the trial starts
  3. Thanks ValleyCBR for showing the kidies on Saturday. I have been sent some photos of Soggy and Strauss so I have forwarded them to Strauss's breeder, who I know will be so excited when she wakes up and turns on her PC :D Strauss was a very good boy and Soggy was a witch and it wont be long before the tables are turned and Strauss beats Cider. Lucky for you we all have the same sized feet and it was a case of playing pass the shoes ;)
  4. and what a difference it made Well done on your title on Friday night - Millie worked really well and you were a heap of fun to have around PS - make sure you bring another popping bottle for the last trial of the year!!!
  5. I am showing Saturday. No idea what time - it starts at 11 and I am guessing they will stop for lunch at some stage - so who knows. I will come and grab you Emery if I get stuck - thanks for the offer
  6. I am showing this weekend :D well at least 2 of my kids are showing not sure who will be on the end of the lead yet
  7. There is a belief out there that if you are wanting to do retrieving with your dog that you should not play tug with it. What are peoples thoughts on this - it is just an old wives tale??
  8. I have been trying to instigate play with Strauss but the second he knows I have food - then he is not interested in the least with any toy. I will keep trying with toys as it is too early to throw in the towel yet.
  9. PIM (positions in motion) he drops straight down, I did have some problems with him turning around to see where I was going when I walked past him but I may have fixed that problem for the time being. Videos - hmm I can't upload anything at the moment and I have to say its not up to video stage yet - its all a work in progress. ;)
  10. I love our Wednesday arvo/night training sessions and yes we are slowly making progress in UDX. I am now convinced this week he knows the scent cloth exercise - although I haven't gone all formal and done the complete exercise yet. Had a go with the blind retrieve (what a dumb exercise that is), but as long as we use white leathers - think this might be a goer too. Interesting with the change of positions I have been giving verbals for all positions, but this all went pearshaped - so changed to signals for all and we are on a winner......... well he didn't miss a position, but I do need to try and do something about the moving sideways and forwards. If I put a barrier in front of him - he then moves sideways ;) . Think I would like to do strategic pairs with Brookie for this exercise because he does it so well + positions in motion - what do you think Bedazzled Scoota is entered in UD tonight and the last time I trained or trialled UD was........hmm a few weeks ago so I am not expecting much. It will be interesting to see if his brain becomes all scrambled with all the UDX training.
  11. Jules does the way you deliver the food have anything to do with how Amber reacts - don't she get very excited over anything ? toys, you coming home, movement? Not sure I would cope with a dog that isn't obsessed with food - it sure would make my training much harder and would make me have to think outside the square. Make sure you do what you think is best for Amber on the weekend and not what other people think you should do and good luck if you do do it ;)
  12. Help please....... The rules and regulations link on the Dogswest site is down Can somebody please tell me the age range for Minor, Puppy and Junior classes please :D
  13. Are you keeping one Emery?? OSoSwift - glad to hear the bank card survived yesterday and that Rommi doesn't need an op. 6 weeks crate rest doesn't sound like much fun though....... CC nice to catch up on Monday night
  14. Yeah by about 2 body lengths and the enthusiastic stomping in between positions not sure the judges will like it :D . Lets just say its a work in progress Strauss was a good boy last night
  15. Jules P - I feel your pain. Where is the next nearest club - is there any chance of changing clubs?? OR do you really need to be a member of a club if it is causing more issues than benefits? Bedazzled - its the look on the face when you ask the dog to "fetch" and its like they have never heard that word in their entire lives, that gets me........... ......and yet the day before they did it with style
  16. Hmm I think UDX was created to turn me grey. I have decided that my little red man is definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed and its a case of one step forward, 10 backwards, 3 sideways and then back to the drawing board at the moment
  17. LOL - I am sure I can do without my holey jumper......which came from an op shop via Zoe - its been well loved
  18. CC at the start of the dark patch on that oval
  19. So do you park further down? I hate not knowing where to go :D . It's a bugger I won't be able to bring little Bear down this year, he'll be big by the time you guys meet him . head for the green rubbish bin - we are usually parked closeby
  20. We usually get there about 6.45ish and stay until hmm 8.30 - well past when the lights go out. and yes Strauss will be there - he is the one with the L O N G legs who towers over Lexi
  21. The bottom oval is where Sue's seminar was - but we are usually down the other end
  22. Crazy Cresties - don't forget to come and say hello to all us on the bottom oval tonight
  23. I am finalizing the Cleans Run order today. I have orders from: Mason2009 OSoSwift Golden Rules RosieFT ValleyCBR Tiggy Bedazzled Beagie (I only have 1 order for you - can you PM me if you wanted something other than the i-squeaks). If I have missed anybody - please let me me. At this stage we are a tad over the $100 postage and there will be an extra $4 per order, but I will email you with details in the next 2 days.
