I think GB is reffering to putting them on the internet ? and checking you have permission to do so ? I know if my dogs were at a groomer or vet, I wouldn't mind if they took piccies, but I would very definatley want to be asked permission for their image to be posted on the net. fifi

They are truly beautiful piccies :-) I know it's been mentioned, but I'm amazed at how the individual character of each dog has been captured. What an wonderful skill to be able to take what your eye/mind can see & express it through the lens. fifi

Fantastic post Lilli, I've seen some very uniformed byb become outstanding breeders with support and information. Sadly, I've also seen lots of byb become larger scale puppy farmers once a few dollars were waved at them for puppies. All we can do is offer education and explain to people what the benefits are of dedication to the health and standards of a breed. most people genuinely don't know the in's & out's of registering for a prefix or even the existance of the governing bodies or breed clubs to join. fifi

Sugar is great for tissue reduction, most country vets use it for prolapses. There's obviously a behaviour/habit issue involved, but it may also take up to eight weeks for his hormones to settle down. Good advice here on removing the bed and distraction, although I'd probably send him outside to run rather than toys or food. fifi

I've gone AoverT as well, but luckily I hung on to the lead !! and no sympathy vote on the day for me either ! Reisanhaft (just realised it was you !) yes, I'm a goose, my nerves get me, which is usually good for a laugh ! The broken clip one was at Moree some years ago !! fifi

Oh dear, how long have you got ??!!!! My first show, the judge waved his arm at the ring and said..."go round and do a triangle"....my poor nerve addled mind went into meltdown and I did some weird hexagonal or something...the judge said crossly..."what sort of geometric nightmare was that"? and I felt the tears well up !! Think I've mentioned this one, but my boy Navarre & I were a few steps into our run round the ring, when the clip broke on the lead. I stopped and stood there like an idiot wondering what had happened, while Navarre continued his circle and had stopped at the judge, stacked himself and was patiently waiting. My nerves took over and instead of walking straight over to my dog, I RAN AROUND THE RING to arrive there !!!! lots of laughter at ringside & the judge - who by this time was laughing and goin over my boy, said to me...."you didn't really need to be here did you"?!!!! My nerves still make it hard for me to see or hear, although I think I'm marginally better than my first show !!! fifi

I had the video many years ago, and forgot to get it back from a friend ! Like Jed, I use a quickie version at work ! but I think for most dog/animal people, they are calming movements that many of us would naturally use. I remember watching the video, where she goes straight to the face of a large and uncertain dog - and thinking that if I did that on some of our less...ummmm......'nice' client dogs, someone would be making me a new face !!!!! fifi
