  1. Oh my what brilliant photos. I'd be blowing them up and hanging them on the wall.
  2. I pm'd itsmeg about the polar fleece jammies a couple of months ago, and she is no longer making them. Kickatinalong are great. I've bought 4 pairs from them.
  3. Pups all looked strong and well on ultrasound I've heard.
  4. WOW!! Not what I was expecting to read this morning! So very happy they've been returned safe and well.
  5. My understanding is the dogs were stolen, not just lost. Anyone know if this is true??
  6. Ooohhhh that makes sense. No wonder I couldn't find them anywhere on the DOL listing. Thanks.
  7. Excuse my ignorance, I wasn't aware they are a recognised breed. I always thought they were a "type" of dog. Learn something new every day as they say.
  8. I know, cos I've now read the whole thread. Apart from the selling of animals etc. I honestly couldn't find anything to buy. Much rather my local.
  9. That's interesting Nekhbet, I wonder why Melton doesn't sell pets?...Do the other stores sell puppies & kittens or smaller pets? I hope this store doesn't start selling them or I will be going back to buying online for all my pet stuff. It does. I was there on the weekend and they sell birds and fish. I popped in for the first time on the weekend. It didn't look bad, but I didn't find anything I would consider buying. Doubt I'll go back. ETA: That'll teach me to read the whole thread before posting. I see the fact they sell animals has already been mentioned. If you look at their website, there is mention of referring people to shelters for dogs (not sure if it mentions cats) as they're against pups in pet shops. Something to that effect anyway. ETA again: No cats sold either by the looks of it.
  10. I have a Back Seat Buddy and can't recommend it highly enough. More expensive than the others, but they last a lifetime, and fit much better than any of the three cheaper ones I've owned previously.
  11. Happy Birthday ya big knucklehead!! **scones him on his big nose, then runs away**
  12. I just wonder at what stage does a dog like this act on the threat to what she is guarding? When does growl and stare turn to bite? Is it only on command, or sooner ? Makes me cringe watching this.
  13. How do you know she's been trained to guard the baby, and that it's not her natural guarding instinct kicking in. Nothing in the video suggests to me she's been trained for this. Did you watch the second video? She has been taught a "guard it" command. The dog is told to guard something and so she guards it. Yes, sorry I just watched that one now. Hadn't watched it until now.
  14. How do you know she's been trained to guard the baby, and that it's not her natural guarding instinct kicking in. Nothing in the video suggests to me she's been trained for this.
  15. Maybe I should just stop looking. It seems these idiots are all over the place. I don't care how easy going a dog is, this is just wrong, and an accident waiting to happen.
  16. Was just scanning Youtube, and came across this video. Couldn't believe my eyes. And of course if this dog does bite, it will be all the dogs fault and probably end in it being PTS. (Please no arguments about breed here, that's not my intention)
  17. Poor thing. Jesus, how strong is their electric fence? Seems odd that he died, doesn't it?
  18. Nicely said Poodlefan The sponge vs mirror is a great analogy.
  19. if this was aimed at me.... Re read my post, nothing harsh or rude there, just fact Pretty sure it wasn't aimed at you GG85. I don't see anything you said being offensive to HarperGD. Others on the other hand.........
  20. Put in an anonymous complaint with the council. Tell them you are a regular driver on that road, give them a description of the dog, and tell them you're not sure which house the dog belongs to, but it must be one of these two (yours and over the road). Let them know you've almost hit the dog on at least 3 occasions. Then if the council do come knocking on your door to see if it is your dog, you can tell them where the dog lives, that it always comes to your place, and the owners' history with other dogs too. ;)
  21. I've watched it more than once too. Only thing is, each time I watch it I start tearing up sooner than the last time. Hunter has the sweetest face doesn't he.
