  3. I keep checking my posty box So far no jacket..... can't wait to wear it it's fffffreeeeezing here!
  4. 'Also it would greatly reduce the small breeders from indiscriminate breeding.' This was taken from the OP original statement.....it's certainly news to me that only 'small breeders' breed indiscriminately. Does this mean that since I have had 3 litters (unquestionably a small breeder)in 10 years my breeding is more likely to be indiscriminate?
  5. The BMDCV have recently rescued 7 or 8 BMD from a backyard breeder in Victoria they were very thin, ill and mentally damaged, I nearly cried when I saw the pics. A couple were PTS as they were so sick they couldnt be helped. Thanks so much for letting the club know of these 2, there are a couple of less than reputable BYB or Berners in Victoria who might have been keen to get these 2.
  6. My theory is shot but someone in our breed who's bitch put on 20cm girth but had 3 puppies ;) What about small breeds?
  7. Not a serious topic just wondering what others delude themselves into thinking when anxiously waiting to meet the new babies :D I have heard 1 inch of belly girth = 1 puppy
  8. Get on to the breeder of your boy she may be able to guide you.

  11. Have you had the vets have a look inside the bitch at her cervical anatomy? Some of the bitches a friend of mine owns dont get pregnant naturally but have taken with transcervical insemination as their cervixes are even hard to cannulate with the scope. (not getting into the sensibleness of perpetuating line with funny fannies but you get what I mean) just might be an idea to try TCI aswell
  12. OMG you are a darling...that's something i would do :D I always worry anout the old ones and it makes me so mad and sad when people rehome them. I joined after I saw my sister on it, she used to do a lot of rescue and fostering.
  13. Here is a pic of one of my lovelies with the Tamron 24-75mm f2.8 I took it with 7d on auto with speedlite. Dunno why it was on auto....
  14. I got a Tamron 28-75mm f2.8 about a month ago. Its a really nice lens. I was looking at the Canon and Hb said I cant have it yet I have to save up. So..... I looked at the Sigma but Tamron comparisons kept popping up in the reviews, Tamrons got really good reviews (some even saying as close as not to notice to the canon and better than Sigma for the money) and are the cheapest of the bunch. Google review on Tamron vs Sigma and its pretty complimentary.

  20. ooooohhhhh excitingggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Thanks for the link Krislin
  21. With a Malamute you definately want a blower if you continue showing. If there is a service station with a bath and dryer near you use that for a while. If your baby wigs out with the blower keep on with it and just stuff their faces full of food until they like it (thats how i train mine ) I would take any puppy to puppy school, obedience is always great (I think better than home schooling) as there are differnet dogs and people to help with socialising too. If your breeder is near to you definately go to some shows with them or ask if they have freinds in the breed living closer to you who can give you moral support and help at first. Definately dont over train like SSMagpie says the dogs end up not liking showing. Being a bit silly makes them happy. Remember win or lose give the puppy a big pat and tell them how clever they are. Good Luck...EXCITING!
