WA laws will come in soon . This is reality & when we get puppy people jumping up n down claiming what they should be entitled too we ask "Did you support the puppy farm " bills. When the answer is yes Then our answer is what your entitled to too is what you supported . Many public in SA didn't care one bit about what they whole bill covered just the "fancy" parts . When breeders expressed there concerns over early spaying or losing there lines the public all accused them off been money grubs,now they sell on limited & the requirements are spay there still called money grubs . You buy a dog from another state you still have to meet the SA laws so all the ranting in the world off what you want,are entitled too or should be allowed are irrelevant unless you join DogSA or a body the law reconizes & meet the conditions or find a vet who will sign that the dog is too young to be spayed which you clearly have said is not going to happen then, what you brought 20 years ago is not current laws . ""The new laws also discourage accidental, casual, and ‘Backyard Breeders’ by forcing anyone wanting to keep an undesexed dog or cat born after July 1st 2018 to register as a breeder. The owner needs to registered as a breeder every year that their animal goes undesexed. If they do not register as a breeder every year, they will be obliged to desex any dogs or cats they have that were born after 1st July 2018 ."" I believe the breeders fee if you are a member off the selected orgs is $75 yearly ,council fees then for undesexed is $65upwards plus your membership fee to the org also payable yearly . You will be listed as a breeder irrespective as you own an entire & have to meet the standards off that .

Welcome to offleash crazy the best way to ruin a dog . People need to think realistically 20 adults in a room and you will always get a range off personalities,egos and plain awful. 20 dogs running offleash are no different ,it’s a risk game .

Most Dobes in the UK are 2/3000 Pounds . Not even before Covid where Dobes in the $2000 mark in Australia certainly p not the Breeders I know .

Premium dry food is based on that being solely feed . You are then adding over the recommendation. Feed what you do and change the amount . What treats does he get . What is an appropriate amount for its size in meat ,what kind off meat ? So what changed in the past month ?

Dog is creating its own fun ,sounds like you expect it to sit and do nothing like the other dog and maybe not enough enrichment for its brain so it’s made it’s own fun . Bones and food won’t do anything . You need to be prepared to actually put in the effort to retrain what has been a great game off fun .being told off means nothing when the dog has no idea that catching critters is not allowed or provided with an alternative and simply put some dogs can’t be changed. So the humans need to do some Changing . Sounds like you need a snake trainer too but the simplistic approach would be a safe yard or run set up to be snake proof .

What does the nsw animal welfare act say about euthanasia of domestic animals . I’m not going to comment on finger pointing whose at fault BUT I do take issue that in Australia where states are trying to bring in puppy farm laws or the RSPCA can enter your property on a whim that shooting pound animals is an acceptable choice .

I don’t bother doing bloods on my oldies on metacam/meloxicam because the potential damage too organs is irrelevant to me ,there on it for quality life . Some clinics push it at all costs which annoys me other vets use common sense on age,life span off dog and the quality factor . I had one clinic insisting on the bloods and thankfully I’m the kind off person who will ask ,what is the plan if high etc .They couldn’t give any answer except you should . I have no fear in pushing the boundaries on a clinic that pushes things A young dog different ball game . As for rear end strengthing find someone who can match the right fit to your dogs issues .. im a big user off Bowen therapy,redlight,Equissage and do body conditioning with my dogs from pup to adulthood but you need to know the whole body to target the right tools without added soreness . Even using a rear end helper Walker can assist in straight walking and better muscle balance

To be honest as a breeder i wouldn’t know what I’m doing in 2 years and things may change for you . I would wait to a time you now you are close to being able to commit too and meet the Breeders current to then .

If the dog has never been inside the overwhelming amount off space suddenly given and not knowing how to get outside or what cues to give are foreign. carpet often feels like grass or the outdoor mat . Look at getting a puppy pen and limiting the space when can’t be watched and to restabish a toilet routine

Where like Rebanne there diet remains the same except for portions . I would be very careful playing around with a diet a dog is not use too whilst pregnant especially if never been feed a proper raw diet . my comment has nothing to do with raw v not but dogs not exposed to many of the organs in a true raw can struggle . If your dog has had meat in the past make that healthier . We use the vege rice in freezer section to add to our meat,tuna,sardines etc . pour dogs are use to organ meats but not all can stomach it

I actually see your problem differently, being in lockdown and still training independent behaviour the harder aspect . Your puppy needs to learn your not going to be there all the time and learn to amuse herself with her toys so make sure you rotate her toys . Be creative ,toilet roll inners to hide food in ,radio,TV for noise . Put ball in a sock . Outside time is still socialisation to the outside world hearing,smelling,seeing,feeling . yes pup needs its 12 week Vacc but you can still make sure social aspects happen . lead trading ,grooming training

From a containment point off view go fence or high puppy pen because you will struggle assisting dog out off a crate and if using sedation to keep calm stability will be a struggle . I would start that training ASAP . toileting my have a setback at this time especially wees. Consider pee pad or incontinent blankets during the initial stages . Slings or help them up a must your backs will take a hit at first getting a dead weight up is hard so plan your set up wisely not to hot not to cold and not 10 miles to get outside . enrichment toys,brain games a must and still encouraging independent behaviour as puppy will be so reliant on humans so pre plan days

I would not mention your dogs potentially harming the dog or any dog. I would simply say as many good stock owners do I have working Maremma doing there guardian job to protect the stock and alert us off intruders . I would be emphasing the risk off a small dog around stock ,the electric fence ,the fact the dog/s are roaming . I would start a paper trail simply regarding wondering dogs and your concern for those dogs .

I would look at most options over a cone . Each dog is different and we will go with what works best and cones aren’t a guarantee off success either . But generally most don’t need the cone vets just hand them over and tell you to use them

I have never set the alarm for any off our pups . Ours are encouraged to alert us and had clean pups . I doubt the training pads will set you back bigtime but it’s more the lack off letting you k ow that will

To be honest it isn’t as painful as what some will make you think cutting back short and in the scheme off pain/discomfort long nails hurt just as much .

Actually seen it with plenty of meds not just ace and there not a quick fix for nails hence why I would sooner GA an oldie than some meds , Anxiety meds won’t perform a miracle without behaviour modification so a dog shit scared off nails will still be without a lot of pre work . For a 12 yr old dog I would just go simple .

Go talk to your vet . if the dog is that bad they may be able to lightly sedate with gas . tablets don’t stop the thought process and often increases the panic more . I would opt for GA the risks are there no matter what . Long nails cause pain,the stress off fighting the nail trim can increase heart ache or seizure in old dogs
