Greys are very wash & wear. Our show greys we did use to blow dry in winter & summer but this isn't a must do thing. Spray wise we used very little,if any maybe some plush puppy shine on . We did use white chalk on the partis if needed(we only showed partis & a solid blue) Lead wise ours where shown on very fine corded leads & one on a fine snake chain. Coat wise we always made our own to fit there body shape correctly . As for showing/stacking go to shows & watch the hound ring. Breeds of similar style (borzois/whippets/salukis) will give you many tips on how to show . The whippets will educate you on working there ears(if correct) for expression. If you own a video camera video video video ,you could practice with the 2 you have now. Check the DOL pages & look at the photo's of the grey's stacked.when practicing ALWAYS use a mirror or reflective surface & above all Greys can be a very animated breed so foster that ,nothing worse than a deep pain Grey running around the ring. Don't rush out & buy things, ask your breeder what they have found works well .

Her breeder has suggested that her back may be out, and asked about her tail carriage at home. It's up at home 95% of the time, so we have ruled out a chiro issue. I wouldn't rule it out if you have one up there. Tail carriage doesn't mean her back either. There are 2 muscles either side of the tail that if out will affect the tail carriage & create a lazy tail

Just realized a double post

Not sure what you have up there but my first port of call would be a doggy chiro /bowen.I always prefer to make sure bodily they can do the activities asked for before attempting to overload them with activities that may have the same result I see to many dogs dragged around the ring or unhappy looking because they are sore /out & the likes

Do you have them sigh a contract to waiver you off liability ?? What happens if you bath the Afghan in a dog range & it reacts when they are happy with Tresemme ?? -
When i was going to enter my ES you had to have proof that you had already started to apply for the export process

What does the stud downer want out of this litter. Use of there male will have some form of price attached?? Do they want a pup in return or a stud fee?? You say you wish to experience the whelping aspect.I have very close friends who breed top class poms & there is a high rate of c sections ,they often get 1/3 pups & that is after 24/7 bottle feeding & many sleepless days to ensure they survive .They don't go to work during this time or if they have to work have friends who do the day shift of bottlefeeding & watching to ensure they survive So if you do a pup return & have 1 pup what will you do?? If you pay a stud fee, plus c section & have 1 pup what will you do (this part is very common in the pom world) As already said by others breeding isn't just about producing pups even pet people want there dogs to conform to the standard or be told prior to purchase that its faults are +++++., In poms over size is an issue creeping up more & more & they shouldn't be ,if people want a bigger pom they can buy a German spitz Did your breeder sell said bitch on spay contract or just limited papers ??

I wouldn't do this . In your situation then i would use my own vehicle as a form of training. Take it in turns of driving past with pup sitting outside calmly & ignoring the insecurity & praising . I would pretend to be doing gardening anything that is non specific to what is happening. If she is good at school then use that area for more "fun time" with vehicles.

at 16 weeks most of our youngsters are only doing 3 houses up & back,we are in no rush . Just sit out on the front lawn & let her watch the cars go past We sit outside with our pups so they can see the cars go past with no pressure & when a car does go past we make it fun . You may want to walk further but she is 16 weeks & there is no harm in being patient when you have the next 14 yrs to enjoy the dog Just give the pup a chance to get use to things & not advice beyond its abilities because you want it to,small steps are always rewarded, giant leaps don't always end well

We firstly ask what they now about the breed & what they are looking for in a pet & why the breed gained there attention. We try not to ask too much because we want to see who has done some simple research & who has done bugger all & has no idea about the breed & it doesn't fit there check list of wants

Head per normal to the airport & turn right at the second round about & AAE is straight across the road, turn left then right just after into carpark. You can turn right at the first roundabout & just follow it all the way around to AAE

Ever Snuck The Dog Into A Motel?
Dogsfevr replied to Lady Flying Furball's topic in General Dog Discussion
Like already mentioned those who sneak them in are totally selfish & the fact you make excuses & don't see it as an issue is disgraceful . The rules set by the establishment whether we like it or not are there to be abide by & the fact so many people here feel it is there right to abuse the generosity of these establishments is down right embarrassing We travel for shows & we now dob in anyone whether show people or not who sneak there dogs in & ruin it for ALL people whether travelers or show people. The facilities where we have dobbed people in have been very appreciative & still take dogs BUT the list is getting smaller & smaller where they will even take dogs in the vehicle. Infact many of the places we use now do early morning checks to see where the dogs are & i totally support it as i have nothing to hide as i abide by the rules set out by the business. At a circuit we do last year 3 places no longer took dogs in vehicles due to dog owners of all area;s abusing the facilities policies . -
In all the years of having dogs spayed we have never restricted the daily routine & never had an issue. We do use common sense but have never restricted there routine like many here do

What will happen if the Boxer has a dislike to said pup?? What is there plan then ??

I also just read that you can spread it by walking somewhere and the virus can be on the bottom of your shoes?? I never realized that it was that contagious which means that if I walked around royal I could have theoretically walked Parvo back into my own yard/home. It can happen every day of your life ,it can be on your car wheels, gear from training the list goes on . The reality is though dog parks & the likes are the worse offenders due to the amount of dog poo around & the dogs coming in contact with it or the left over part. Everyone could bring it home on a daily basis but how many have??
-
parvo is contact .

Do you soak the dry ?? She would be teething which can make some pups sooky at food time & some find the dry hard on there mouths. We give our pups a variety off foods BUT if for some reason we get a picky eater we stick to good sound basics & not add to much stuff. Don't cook her chicken either just give raw

Clippers will only pay for themselves if you buy the right ones in the first place. But remember to groom yourself the blades cost extra, you will need to buy scissors as well so all up we tell our people to budget for $300/$400 for quality items that will lasts many years if used & looked after correctly

Stop visiting the dogs ,you are adding to the unwanted behavior & rewarding there barking plus to be honest i would be very annoyed if my neighbours where visiting my dogs without my permission or knowledge Do they bark all day non stop because after a week of doing it i am surprised they still have voices ??

Keeping Dogs Out Of The Ring To Help Others
Dogsfevr replied to SkySoaringMagpie's topic in General Dog Discussion
That's bollocks. One of mine that I titled very early on was at that time a rare breed and it was rare to get any competition at all, he earnt his title with group, classes in show and a long list of them. You could take the 25 pointers away from my Staffords and every one of them would still have earnt their title with a BIG. The same goes for my Pointers and the Whippet. I'd like to see the requirements for a title increased, they are handed out like lollies in some cases and people can still earn them 6 points at a time. I don't buy the " my breed is rare " line Maybe you should all come over to Perth for a year of showing & then decide how easy it is. -

Keeping Dogs Out Of The Ring To Help Others
Dogsfevr replied to SkySoaringMagpie's topic in General Dog Discussion
Yes i have pulled my dogs at a show for another to title & would do it again for the right person who would appreciate it. The people i did it for (now retired from showing( had been in the breed for years, fantastic people who where getting older ,where extremely good sports, great breed ambassadors, good genuine people who simply where struggling to be competitive handlers in a breed that requires running. The dog whilst not off the class of mine at the time certainly deserved it's title & i had no qualms in pulling my dogs for them to gain those last points ,i new they where starting to cut back on showing & time was running out. On that day i saw people with tears of joy who where grateful to own another champ even if it meant me pulling my dogs. They are now retired & still keep in regular contact . -
