  1. We've had a few of those recently, luckily all have survived.
  2. My JS gets bathed weekly because I show him. The 2 Sibes are usually bathed around once a month or so.
  3. I never trust my Sibes off-leash, ever. It's just part of their nature to run, and run, and run. I would tell new owners to be prepared for the fact that they may never be able to trust their Sibe off-leash. As Huski said, achieving a 100% reliable recall in a Sibe is not impossible but it does take a hell of a lot of commitement and training, with no guarantee that you will ever succeed.
  4. Is syringomyelia a problem in Australia? I'm curious after watching the BBC program.

Aw, that is cute, I bet you have some great memories of him Run free Seth
  6. As others have said, it could be a phantom - I'd be straight off to the vet for a check-up. If it turns out that she is indeed pregnant, I think desexing would be the best option. Alizin (the abortion injection) can be used up to 45 days post-mating but in late-term abortions it's effectiveness is reduced to around 95%.
  7. I have never known a vet to do such a thing. They'd have to be pretty sadistic to actually want pets to come back unwell.
  8. Hi njstaffy, As huski said, do you have pedigree papers for your boy? If not, unfortunately there is no way to know for sure if he is 100% Staffordshire Bull Terrier or not. Did you see both the sire and dam of the litter?
  9. Nothing in particular, sorry. I hope they can give you an update soon, what a horrible thing to be going through
  10. Fingers crossed for Elfin, I hope it's nothing serious
  11. I have been thinking about trying this myself, one of my Cavs get itchy skin. http://www.paw4pets.com/paw-essential-6.html
  12. If you don't like the way a particular vet clinic operates, take your business elsewhere. If you don't like the way any vet clinic operates, don't own a pet.
  13. Although I would prefer not to be supporting PP indirectly by purchasing my Evo from PGD, at the end of the day my dogs are doing really well on the food and that is what I care about the most. My younger bitch in particular has a bit of trouble keeping weight on, but she looks absolutely fabulous at the moment.
  14. I actually wish the vets would increase their markup... maybe then they could pay me a half-decent wage
  15. My 2 Sibes are on Evo at the moment and seem to be doing very well on it too.
  16. Well I am not aware of any industry that provides the customer with a breakdown of product prices, including cost price and markup. Plus your ideal of cost + 10% markup is simply not realistic.
  17. I don't mean to be rude, but as someone who works in the industry I think your expectations are a little unrealistic. There is no point comparing human doctors to veterinarians, they are worlds apart.
  18. I'm cheating a little with this shot, as it was taken around 2 years ago. But I really like it
  19. It sure does, its the reason I had my bitch done, constant whining and screaming!! Ok, thanks - I have always wondered about that Did your bitch do any whining/crying during the initial recovery period? And if so, did it affect the results of the op?
  20. Just curious, does debarking also prevent the dog from making whining/crying noises?
