Um sorry I should have been clearer, I actually meant next Sunday as in the 4th. But by all means you guys catch up this Sunday for sure. I'm out this week as we are heading to port fairy for the arvo to visit Seans mum, she is finally out of SWHC and in the hospital in Pt Fairy for a couple of weeks then hopefully home. Hoping some of you can make it on the 4th as well.

Geez, I don't know where I am I think between stage 1 and 2. I get really annoyed when people when people say to me oh you should be a pro Sometimes I say to them you really have no idea of what being a pro means!! I really have no desire or drive to be a pro I just want to be able to take good shots of thing I love! Mostly dogs of course... :D I have been flattered to have had 3 requests of people wanting me to take some photos for them in the last month. A 21st birthday, a family portrait, and a wedding and I knocked back all 3 as I just know I am not qualified or up to the challenge. And people are just not my thing I just figure if I am shooting stuff that I don't enjoy doing it takes the fun out of it. I really don't know how you pro wedding photographers cope Ash, I would have a nervous breakdown! I guess some people just have what it takes!!

:D Kirislin!! Wash your mouth out! Its not the camera that takes the good photo It is so the camera. Don't you have people that tell you 'Wow! Your camera takes really good photos! What kind of camera is it?' :D All the time!!

I totally agree with this. In this thread are you looking for solutions to the problems with Elbie? Or are you just wanting to hear others storys? I am curious the way some of your post reads I'm assuming you are sitting in the back of the car with the pup? Is so this could be adding to his anxiety, especially if you are trying to calm him if he is anxious. Trying to calm an unsettled/anxious dog only adds to its anxiety. For example if you are trying to sooth a dog that is upset/anxious you are really confirming to him that it is ok to be this way. I hope I am making sense, you should never reassure an unstable state of mind, the best thing to do is ignore it. Sorry if you are not looking for advice just thought I'd add my 5cents worth. Ill give an example of exactly what I mean and you can maybe relate it to your situation with your pup. 3 of my dogs before they were 6 months old were taken with me to somewhere there was fireworks on a lead everything casual, lots of treats for being unreactive and ignore for reactions. All were great hardly bothered with the noise too busy loving the treats!! 1 of my girls I didn't have the chance to go anywhere there was fireworks with her before she matured so she is a little strange around fireworks thunderstorms etc. If there is a thunderstorm she likes to be close, I let her be close but pay no more attention than I normally would. My OH on the other hand feels sorry for her and tries to reassure her in a soothing voice you know the one "oh its ok, come to dada, oh you poor little poppet" and so on you get the picture. So I have had to explain to him that by doing that to her he is actually reinforcing the fear she has therefore she thinks she is doing the right thing by being scared stiff because he is basically praising her unstable state of mind. As far as puppy injuries go with my four I can't really think of any, however some of my furniture didn't come out quite so unscathed :D I am not very good at putting things into words so I hope I am making sense. It sounds like you are doing everything to make the best home possible for Elbie. Good luck.

Here's one of Tully, the vid is a bit choppy, hard to run after doggie and film at the same time She got a bit distracted as I laid the track over the road but she soon picked up the scent again. Great to watch them working and first time that night that I have seen Tully really exhausted! http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F...p;v=rd3qCpimN04

Hope this works http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiRoFDVhfqI edited to add link that works (I hope)

My two girls are 6 months apart in age and I have never had a problem with them fighting. Rules, boundries and leadership from the start is a good recipie for a happy doggy household, especially if you have more than 2 so everything runs smoothly!
