Ruth that is such an awesome shot of the four of them together, was there any pics of all of them together? I bet your missing them now, not the cleaning up after them part but the cute part. Just curious, is the second pup from the left bigger or is he/she just standing up higher? They are all so cute but the little one on the far left has the most adorable face, almost kind of Vizsla ish.... :)

Are they exactly the same and just a different colour? Look forward to photos from them, they look like fun! OT, was photo finish on last week? I taped it but then couldn't find it and realized maybe it wasn't on?

Isn't It Great When Dogs Use Modern Technology?

Awww so cosy! -
Yes so true, and actually my Nikon mainly had the 50mm on it most of the time. So it suits a lot of the stuff I like to shoot. Apart from being out and about when the dogs are really active, I am going to love the 70 - 200 for that but I will wait patiently, thing is I am a hopeless saver. I think Bec may even still be shooting with her 50mm. Kirislin, did you end up have a look at the links I posted in your 40mm thread, it looks like a great little lens. Im still considering it, but I have had a good think about the bag as much as I love them, i don't think I can justify speeding that much. Might have a google about and see if I can find another nice camera bag not so exxy, any suggestions?

Laptops are great, i use mine all the time, we have a desktop pc but i never use it. Lap top you can take anywhere too, especially good for going away if your wanting to DL photos on the go.

I think for photo editing Macs are awesome! I have a MacBook pro and it's fantastic, I swapped from PC early last year. You would need new programs though as your pc LR an CS won't be compatible with the Mac.

I didn't have a clue about hire prices, if they are that exxy I wouldn't other! Definatley just keep saving when I can.

Thanks for the offer, Lees been here for two days and also offered me her kits lenses, (same as your I think) very generous offer but I'll hold out for the 70-200 and make do with the 50mm. But who knows I might change my mind tomorrow. Wonder if anyone in town hire lenses? Camera house maybe? Is it even called that anymore?

Thanks RJ, I bought the body on its own and of course could not come out of the shop without a lens and for the price and that fact that I love the plastic fantastic the 50mm 1.8 was the only option! they had only sold the last 1.4 the day before otherwise I would have got that. And of course being the impatient cow that I am no way was I waiting till they got more in.
-
I Absolutley agree. although going by the things I've read about the 40mm I think it might be a much better all round everyday lens. Yes I did just get the 50mm 1.8 and I love it already. Your probly right, I should just keep saving, my OH tells me the same thing!

I have to wait longer now for the 70 - 200 as I haven't got quite enough cash, so in the mean time with the cash I do have I have two options, one is get the 50mm 1.4 or get the new 40mm and get a porteen bag. Arghhhh what to do? I love the bag and the 40mm would be a great walk around lens for every day use. Or I could just keep saving and wait till I have enough for the 70 - 200 but at this stage saving just isn't happening. Help me choose what to do.

It's funny I was just saying to a friend yesterday about this exact thing, ever since I was young I always wanted a Canon but for some reason when I got my first DSLR I got a Nikon, I didn't regret it either it was a fabulous camera and the girl I sold it too is loving it. So I finally have the Canon I dreamed about all thoses years ago even though the one I dreamed about was film. If I was to buy my 70 -200 f4 online which is better eglobal or DWI, I'm leaning towards DWI. Their prices are similar. Someone mentioned another place with cheap prices and I know I commented but I can't find it. Any recommendations!

I know after seeing you guys with the whippet shots, that's one of the things that made up my mind. Not sure how I'll go with the plastic fantastic lens, saving up now for the 70 - 200 f4 The guy who sold me the camera is a Nikon user and her tried to sway me back to the Nikon 7000 but I had really made up my mind, if I was rich I would have got both!

Thanks guys, I'll check out the link, I have lots of books too.

Been back to the shop and it's all good! So I'm happy now, just have to learn to use it now.
-
Yea I guess there is no reason to keep pushing it down after the shot is taken, it's just so different than anything I've shot with before. Heading out shortly will go check out the display model just for piece of mind, but I'm sure it's all good after the amount I've googled everyone says the same thing. Thanks
-
Kirislin, do you find your shutter button depresses a long way say like after you take the photo the button can go down even further?
-
Thanks, I popped the same post in the POTN forum and a few there seem to think its all good so that s good news, still think I will pop back to the shop tomorrow! But still super excited to have it!

Hi Guys, I finally got my 7D, actually I wasn't getting it for a little while longer but I just couldn't help myself, Not enough funds to get the lens I wanted just yet so i just got the 50mm 1.8. So far I love love love it and have only have a little play. I have a question for any of you guys with the same camera, the shutter feels and sounds springy and tinny, is this normal? I have googled and found a few people have said the same thing, I know its probably because I am not used to it, but with my track record lately I just want to know that it is normal. So when I take a photo apart from the tinny sound the button feels spongy under my finger, like I take the shot and it could press down even further if that makes sense. I am hoping it is normal. Think I will pop back to the shop tomorrow and have a play with the one in the shop to see if its the same. in the mean time he's a couple of quick snaps I took while having a play this evening.
