  1. Are you thinking of mating her this season? If yes, I'd be a little more cautious and talk to a trusted vet about the implications... Otherwise, I'd just vaccinate... T.
  2. My dogs are my "children"... they come too or I'm staying with them. I couldn't live with myself if I scarpered to save my own skin and they were left to drown, burn, or starve to death. If you have enough warning, get out early and take them with you. That's the only option I could live with. T.
  3. Snooky is a little terrier cross owned by one of our volunteers - she's a gorgeous little character who loves nothing more than playing with any dog who is up for it, regardless of size or breed. T.
  4. Every great foster carer needs at least one "failure"... and I think you've been very lucky that yours was your very first... T.
  5. I second Aphra's sentiments about this group... the introductions, et, should have happened way BEFORE they decided to announce that they were a mouthpiece for ALL rescue. Quite smply, they AREN'T and most likely will NEVER be, if the attitudes displayed on Facebook by some of their members is anything to go by. T.
  6. I spoke to the AWL media person about them doing a Media release and after contacting the inspector she told me they wouldnt be but she was happy to make comment for any media things I organise. Something is in the works and hopefully finalised today if it comes off ;) You go girl! T.
  7. They are deadly cute! My Harper's best buddy is only 3kgs... and Harper knows how to play nice with her... not all larger dogs play rough with little dogs... *grin* See... Snooky is the one that always has the upper hand... lol! T.
  8. Damn muttrus... I coulda brought you a whole selection of little dogs to adopt... If there's a next time, drop me a line, OK? T.
  9. I don't think Sammy's going to get as big as Harper's going to get somehow... and he can wrestle her just fine already... *grin* I think Harper is in love with Sammy, Stevie, and Jodie... and her Aunty Katdogs... every time I put her collar and lead on, she tries to drag me over the road to go visit her besties. There are only 4 people that Harper will go to willingly (she's a bit of a mummy's girl)... me, Katdogs, Aunty lillypilly, and another human Aunty at the rescue... everyone else she sits and waits for me to introduce her to. T.
  10. A wonderful step in the right direction from the AWL... and Buddy will have his legacy Caz... T.
  11. I am privileged to have met Rocko - if he had have fitted into my car, he'd be a Moocher now, but somehow I think his absence would have been noted.  He could fit into my car... and I've thought about snaffling him up myself... such a sweet boofer... Rocko also gets the best "crazy eyes" thing going on when there's treats on offer... we need a pic of that Caz... lol! T.
  12. Chin up miss2... Spuddie is in the best place for now, OK? T.
  13. How gorgeous is this butt? Maybe I'm a little biased though... ? T.
  14. Isn't it funny how the general public are having no difficulty in finding these ads, but the authorities that are responsible for enforcing the laws about the sale of underage/unchipped pups can't seem to find them or do anything about it... *sigh* T.
  15. You want cute rear ends? I has rear ends... in triplicate! T.
  16. I'll just have to keep my diary open for when you do come down here then... *grin* T.
  17. Looks like a very rare Cuddlehound to me... Loving the last pic... how gorgeous is he? T.
  18. Hard to say exactly how big Rex will be when he finishes growing... he's about 15kgs now at 21 weeks... but his sister (my girl Harper) is 21kgs. I'd hazard a guess that he'll be somewhere from the tall end of medium through to mid large size? He'll never be a chunky dog - he's a slim-ish build, but may fill out a little once he matures. Not so big that you couldn't lift him if you had to methinks... possibly between 25 and 30kgs max? My girl is looking to be around 45+ kgs at the rate she's going, but she was always the tallest of the litter. He's a really lovely young chappie who has perfected the art of cuddling - as you can see by his photos - that's my face he's kissing... oh, and he travels well in the car with no upchucks! He is located about 20 mins south of Penrith - or about an hour northwest of Wollongong. If you would like to meet Rex, feel free to drop me a PM and I'll happily give you the phone number of our rescue coordinator so you can arrange a meeting with him. T.
  19. Ummm... your sis could carry your luggage to the car and drop you off at the airport... then me or Katdogs could pick you up at this end - the airport is about 15 mins away from us. No excuses about carting luggage will work... lol! As for the smooch fest... I'm sure we could work out a system of one dog at a time for you to cuddle... *grin* T.
  20. Methinks Puppy Sniffer needs a weekend in Sydney (say the 16th Feb?) for some rest and recuperation... *grin* T.
  21. Awwwww... what a cute little bundle of curls! T.
  22. You must be loaded. lol. The cost of electricity these days is prohibitive. Anyway, I like the smell of freshly dried clothes off the washing line. I don't have that much washing... *grin* T.
  23. I crate train all of my foster pups... so worthwhile in so many ways... The best thing about crating at night is that they are somewhere safe, and can't eat the house... you'll learn what that means soon enough with a Goldie pup... *grin* T.
  24. Blue Staffords aren't rare at all... but completely healthy and well bred ones aren't... *grin* I'm all for the blue colour if it's an odd one in a litter of otherwise standard coloured pups... but there's no way on the planet I'd be buying one that was from a litter specifically bred to be blue (ie. blue to blue mating). If I were looking for a purebred Stafford, I would prefer a black (read brindle with little or no tan) one... I think they look totally divine! T.
