  1. Love Molly's collar... and notice that she's happy to sleep on their couch, but not give them cuddles... norty Molly! Love my Pudden... *sigh* T.
  2. I always loved Secret... and such an amazing little secret she turned out to be... T.
  3. Ditch the partner... you and your dog are too good for him... Fingers crossed that she's over the biggest hurdle, and will now recover much faster from here on in... T.
  4. Wait until they are around 4 weeks old... you are going to have your hands full then... lol! T.
  5. My friend's male Rotti used to bury bones... and my female Rotti (his auntie) used to go straight to their backyard when we visited and dig them up... lol! T.
  6. That first video had Pickles come running in to try to find the babies... lol! She's never had any of her own, but adores puppies... Meanwhile, Trouble (who has had puppies before) was doing her very best impression of "no mummy, they can't stay here"... lol! T.
  7. I'll concede that she may have trusted the trainers of the dogs in the setup of this exercise... but putting yourself in a situation with highly aroused trained attack dogs in a noisy and unfamiliar environment does seem kinda ready made for a mishap, no? Hopefully she learned a valuable lesson from this incident. T.
  8. Put a layer of cardboard or newspaper under the blanket for extra insulation... I use the old style woollen blankets for my dogs in winter, and a sheet or thin towel in summer. T.
  9. All my rescue pups were taught the command "give" using high value toys that they didn't normally get to play with. The object was to be have them spit out whatever was in their mouth on command... reward with the toy was given once they spat out whatever was in their mouth. Eventually there was no need for the toy reward, but a "good boy/girl" and a nice pat for doing what they were told. My current 3 dogs will spit out anything they have when the command "give" is uttered... and that's no mean feat with 3 food obsessed dogs... *grin* T.
  10. He gets chomped more often than he'll have anyone believe... lol! The wonderful power of editing only makes it seem like he never gets bitten... T.
  11. Conditioners that prevent knots? You may be able to use the stuff you leave on... T.
  12. I find that portion control is a good way of maintaining optimal weights... *grin* ... and no treats for no good reason... T.
  13. He'd fit in well here... mine are all speshul... lol! T.
  14. Barking at that age is too cute for words... do they fall over when they do it too? Mine did... T.
  15. I watched at least 2 shows where she advised that a dog should be euthanaised... a few years back now, but I recall one had fear issues, and the other had dog aggression issues. Both animals were fine in their own homes with people they knew, but couldn't be taken out for a walk due to their issues. Seriously, if a bloody dog doesn't feel comfortable going out and socialising, then don't make it have to do so... there are ways to exercise and mentally stimulate a dog in the safety of a familiar environment... *sheesh* T.
  16. Sure it would hurt like hell... but she ain't getting any sympathy from me for putting herself in that situation. As a self professed elite dog trainer, she really should have had at least an inkling that shit could go to hell in a handbasket in a noisy confined space with strange people around. And it could have been a whole lot worse... T.
  17. I can fully understand resting the dogs, and not making them available for pats by all and sundry all day long... but the owners could make a bit of an effort to engage with the public sometimes. Sitting with backs to the crowd and pointedly ignoring everyone can be a bit offputting, and I heard a few people commenting on "snobby show dog people"... at least Boss's owner was happy to engage with the public, and if Boss looked like he was up for it, bringing him forward for interaction... T.
  18. I'm sure that Inky (she was the tiniest one, yes?) will pick up the slack in the adventurous stakes... wasn't she the first to start exploring and snuggling up to Uncle Puck? T.
  19. I had a pat and cuddle of Boss on Saturday... I must say he is a gorgeous boy... and his owner was more than happy to allow interaction and to talk about him with anyone who stopped to chat. The owner of the dog that beat him wasn't as accommodating I found... I actually was a bit disappointed about that, as he was also a stunning dog... I've always found that the Royal can be a bit hit or miss with both exhibitors and juudging... a bit like the Melbourne Cup, where literally any horse in the race could come up and win... lol! T.
  20. Hahaha! Love the modified pool shot... there's an available exit, but pup has to climb over the edge... lol! Need to watch that one methinks... going to be an adventurer... hehe! T.
