Looks like a doggy dancing routine with two of them :D

I just rebooted, working now (finally!)

I'm ready to beat YouTube with a stick Still can't watch anything! It just leaves me with a white screen like it's loading... but 10 mins later, it's still like that!! It's not my internet either, because last night I was using a different one to what I am now! Might be my shoddy laptop then! Boo!!!!
-
What are they? Not that my two deserve anymore beds. Two destroyed in 3 weeks The last victim was this morning, right before leaving for work I stupidly said to the girls "now don't go and destroy your beds" :D

OI! Don't be speaking negatively of my second home!
-
I tried watching everyone's videos last night, but YouTube was playing silly buggers with me! The chips idea sounds good, I might have to do the same for tonight You can keep the wine, though!

Woohoo lots of new training videos to catch up on! Thanks everyone I'm pretty slack at videoing the training. I end up getting just grass at the park, too! Here are some videos I filmed in January (hope I haven't already posted them?): Ruby heelwork/figure 8's: Millie heelwork/figure 8's: Ruby & Millie dumbell (Millie has only just learnt to hold the thing, she's still a work in progress!):

I've had that several times with Ruby! Just cos she's not your typical "fat Lab", she must be a Lab X

Ditto ozjen Don't think I will find a guy who won't be scared off by the fact that I spend most nights doing dog things and that I want dog #3 in the next few years! Would be a bonus if he got involved too, but I think it's gonna be hard enough to find one who won't be scared off by the dog things as it is Happily single here with my two girls Leaves me more time to do my dog things! ;)

Oooh which one? I bathed the girls yesterday after our beach trip and I do it in the clam shell pool out the backyard. Ruby is pretty easy, she stands there (biggest pain is her trying to eat the water out of the hose!) but Millie stands there scared stiff trying to slyly escape! So I have to hold her the whole time. Millie then rolled in the dirt once done!! So much easier when I used to get them hydrobathed, but I was told the one at the vet doesn't shampoo! So I didn't see the point. My house stunk like wet dog for several hours after, as I had to lock one in the sleepout to dry while the other was outside otherwise they both tear around the yard like lunatics to dry off, getting dirty again! Rubystar, the one in Nicholson Rd Canning Vale has one, just go up Garden St turn left at roundabout on Nicholson and it is on the right hand side a short way up. Take your Canine membership as you may be able to get a discount on any goods you buy (not sure if you have to have a prefix for this). Oh and say hi to Steve (mini pins, show and agility). I'm a regular there I'm part of their customer care program with my K9 membership so I save 10% on everything ;) I just never noticed the hydrobath before!

Bugger, not much use for me then! Was hoping to get 2x 15kg bags
-
Well now that I know about it, hell yeah!! So it starts Sat morning I take it? Better get in early before they sell out

Amen. Dog hair is a part of my life now - on my floors, on my clothes, in my car, in my food Couldn't imagine life without it and I wouldn't have it any other way! (but that doesn't mean I enjoy sweeping 100 times a day )
-
Know your frustration! I can see yellow hairs all over my jarrah floorboards 5 seconds after I sweep it! The chocolate hairs are there in probably larger numbers, but can't see those I bathed the girls yesterday, and that just loosened up more hair! Maybe a good dryer will help, but a) I feel silly buying a dryer for a Lab and b) no way Millie would let me near her with it!! :D

:D But then I wouldn't be as close as I am to the K9 grounds, which is very very handy for me as I'm there a few nights a week!!

Target have them at the checkout! At least here they do :D

Last (and only) time I've been to Kwinana beach, there were two ladies with two OES. Ruby had a good play with them, and the ladies asked me if she was a puppy They were the only friendly dogs on the beach I must add. After they left, some real ferals turned up with their feral dogs. I swear it must have been ferals day out with every aggressive dog out for the day! Yesterday I went to Hillarys though and the girls had a great time as usual!! Just wish it wasn't so far away, cos I love Hillarys!!

The one who with all my heart believe is my "heart dog", she is the less affectionate of my two. She is my everything, and my heart aches when I think about her or look at her and I am even getting little tearies in my eyes now as I type this I've always had dogs growing up and got my first very own dog as a teenager (she's now almost 16 and still with us), and even though I love her, she isn't my heart dog. Ruby came along, and life has never been the same :p Then along came Millie, and even though the way she looks at me makes me believe she thinks of me as her "heart person" I feel guilty that I can't return it as thinking of her as my "heart dog". Love her to bits though, she is such a pleasure to train and that brings us much closer. But no other dog will ever compare to my ratbag Ruby! Makes me wonder sometimes if it is possible to have more than one heart dog? I don't think I will have another heart dog in Ruby's lifetime (if I do though, great! There's really nothing like it!) but I do wonder if in many years time, I will find another dog who fills my heart just as much as Ruby does
-
Are you sure you weren't at Hillarys?! Cos there this morning there were 3 Irish Wolfhounds and a puppy french bulldog!
-
Shes fine this morning - although she will insist on wagging her tail for anything!! And of course on the most innapropriate things - door frames, egdes of cupboards, makes me cringe! Im trying not to talk to her, so she doesnt get tooooo excited and start wagging! C&N, the injury is about an inch from the tip of her tail, most awful spot to try and bandage ;) . I discovered more blood this morning, smeared down the cupboard, more spots on the floor! I think she may have initially done it on the folded up crate sitting in the dining area! Will have to move that. Rat Do you know how she did it?
-
Nope, just had way too much to do You?

Training/trial Dog Containment
RubyStar replied to Tiggy's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I use my car as much as possible for training/trialling, the dogs are more comfortable there. But if for some reason I can't park close enough, I will resort to my crate. I have a metal one that is too heavy to lug everywhere, so I bought a collapsible canvas type one but stupid me got one a bit too big so the portability factor wasn't greatly reduced when I switched Both my girls will fit in it but I think when the day comes when I am trialling both, I will either use the car for both of them or crate them separately! -
Hi & Welcome SoozyQ............Its a small old world! My name is also Suzie!! And my last ridgeback was Miekah - different spelling I know, but essentially the same .......We had a burmese boy too, although he was chocolate and his name was Paddy! Harry the boxer is beautiful too! Big dufousy red grinning idiot dog gave itself a tail injury tonight! I walked inside home from work to be greeted by blood smeared from A to B . Little spots of blood all over the floor, and of course I ended up with blood whacked across my legs before I could do anything about it!!! Hmmm, a ridgy with a docked tail - how cool would that look??? Of course we'd have to get plastic surgery done on her "pig testicle" girly bits, very uggerly and definitely in need of covering or removal Rat Hope she's ok!!
