Better Pets and Gardens sells them, and South St Pet Supplies. I am sure there are other places, too.

I'm sure there are closer obedience clubs to you than 40 minutes away. How about Cloverdale Canine Companions? That's probably about 15 minutes from you. Or Maybe Perth Training and Obedience Dog Club? (I think that one is in Vic Park? I know people here go there, so they can correct me if I'm wrong!) Not sure what nights they train, though.

Hitting The Ring For The First Time

Yes I am stalking you - any new photos of the gorgeous Dragon? ;) -
I envy you all for even getting to this stage in agility! It all seems too daunting for me... I'll keep at it (only just started ) but not sure how far we'll get. My comfort zone is obedience, and even then it really tests my handling skills (which aren't that crash hot!)
-
Yes we expect to meet you and Henry at some stage at a meet - more Labs the merrier  If I left Ruby alone during the day, she'd just sleep - it's that little digging cow Millie They sleep all day when inside though, but they haven't ever been left ALL DAY by themselves in a backyard before, so it's something they need to adjust to as I've just moved and this is the new situation. Jealous much you live so close to the water?
-
I already train them more than I walk them But I need the exercise and I need to make them so buggered they will sleep all day while at work

Welcome Kristen and to your boy - what's his name? Good on you for giving him a loving home (and good on you for choosing a Lab ) You sound like you're doing a fab job already I'm not much help with keeping them occupied - I'm going through the same thing, trying to think of ideas because I am getting holes in the backyard when I leave my 2 alone all day. So for the moment while the new grass is trying to take hold, they're being dropped off at their grandparents each day for a day of luxury inside under the aircon. They aren't stupid, they know if they misbehave in the backyard they get to have a good day inside with human company Whereabouts in Perth are you? I wish I lived close enough to the river to go walking more regularly. Or I even wish I had the motivation to do that many km's a day! Maybe I should hunt for a walking buddy to get my butt into gear
-
I wanted to try tracking, but the distance to travel each week and at such an early time is putting me off big time
-
Oh Ruby Star i did see your you tube vid shame about the stays . You should be very proud of your scores for the rest of the test though fantastic work Thanks Yes I am proud of my wigglebutt Labrador
-
I wouldn't move either knowing full well my "master" ain't gonna do a thing about it! Nagging usually has the same effect on humans, too

After training tearaway puppy Ruby, training adult rescue Millie was a BREEZE!!!! Now they're on par with each other, but excelling at different things showing us that all dogs truly are individuals And yes, keeping on topic with stays, Ruby's sit stays have gone down the toilet in the past year. If she's too hot and bothered, she thinks laying down is part of the criteria, as long as she doesn't get up (which she never has). I will be working on the steady feet game in sits now, not just standing, showing her that the criteria for a sit stay is don't move those bahluddy feet!!! Cost us our nicest score to date that stoopid stoopid sit stay
-
Probably? Definitely!! My two are 3 now... and Ruby acts like a 6 month old when out in public, though she acts like an old woman at home! And they are forever my puppies, no matter their age
-
I'm thinking the same could be said for trialling a Lab, huski
-
So I take it then that you're allowed to halt your dog like that to get them back on course?
-
Congrats on the results last night guys!! did you really get him to drop in the middle of it? I would have loved to have seen that! Please tell me this round is on video! See, having an obedience dog in agility can sometimes be useful and shows the obedience tasks aren't just glorified tricks, they actually do come in handy for day to day! :D

Just Had To Post This..

I had no idea bulldogs could move so fast That was hilarious! -
Sounds like a very worthy brag to me!
-
Good luck!!!

There was a guy in Novice I was next to in the stays who had a black Stafford (I think ), not sure if that's the one you're referring to. If I had a catalogue I could look it up for you. I paid for a catalogue too but they ran out
-
Whoops, you should have texted me! I have only just logged back online so obviously I'm too late. I would have gladly come and Cider-sat
-
I'm so knackered, was planning on heading down to watch the agility again but think I might rest up for work tomorrow instead How does teams agility work? I stewarded for it last year and couldn't figure it out - it still looked to me to still be single dogs running?? What happened with the poodle?
-
No way, that boy is too good at obedience to only dust him off for the odd agility trial! Congrats on your clear rounds tonight! And congrats to Deb on hers Not sure how caffy went?
-
Thanks for the link, Tiggy! Blurgh, hate photos of me! I love the ones of Ruby and I in the ring, though - we weren't actually heeling at the time, this was right after the amazing SFE she pulled off so as we were heading to the other side of the ring to do the recall, I was playing with her to tell her what a good girl she was
-
Yes I was I was also thinking "ok that's enough, back away before she moves!!"
-
Thanks Tiggy http://www.youtube.com/user/caffy33
