  1. I was contemplating buying the jump cups from CleanRun but the postage was ridiculous!
  2. Yes but that still doesn't mean I know how to make them! The instructions overwhelm me to the point I want to sit in the corner and rock myself until the bad bad instructions go away.
  3. Ditto. We can get a production line happening You could bake cookies again, and we can have a production line high on sugar :D
  4. I'm surprised the jumps are sold out, if you know how I'm pretty sure you can make them for much cheaper than that! I still don't know how, regardless of how many tutorials I've read :D I desperately want to start making some jumps but I'm so dumb when it comes to handy stuff I'm even stumped with what to go and buy!
  5. If you need help packaging them up, I'm happy to help.
  6. No (I have turned quite usless) because Lilly is unwell with a respiratory infection and I have the assesment for a First Aid course tomorow so I need to cram! Rubystar you could go down to Gero to not get passes in agility AND obidience I am just joking of course (even though I was considering entering Toby in CCD just to fill the time till agility starts)! I would drive but I am not sure how well Ruby and Toby will do in a confined space togther for all that time. :D Yeah that would be a no go unless they were both crated :D Yeah throw Ruby into an agility trial. Sure, that will be fun, especially when I have no idea how to read a course and Ruby has no idea how to run one :D She hasn't seen any agility equipment since she was a pup ;) It's a shame actually that I haven't gotten into agility sooner, it would have been a great idea to go and enter both. I'd really love to go to a country trial and spend the weekend there and camp with the doggies, would be a lot of fun! I've never been camping with them before, nor me actually
  7. I want to join WAClick but still dont know how. ;) Me neither, it's like a secret cult I've asked Deb if she can refer me which she has, just waiting to be accepted. That was like a week ago though, so maybe I'm just not good enough to be apart of this exclusive club?
  8. If you want to give me a lift! I've never been to Geraldton, but it's a bit far to drive and not even getting a pass in obedience! ;)
  9. 6.30 pm is as far as my knowledge takes me. Oh and that it's now $3 a go
  10. Or alternatively, the caption could say "my kids have an addiction." Lexi and Millie could start up "I-Squeaks anonymous"
  11. Have a look in the latest K9 Magazine and see if there is any mention on the measuring committee and the numbers to call. Otherwise PM me or email me and I will give you the email address of one of the judges who is on the measuring committee and who will be there on Saturday night. You need to contact them to make sure they bring all their gear and you will need to take Ruby's registration papers. Alternatively, if you see Judge Judy at ACWA tonight you can ask her if she can measure Ruby for you on Saturday. There needs to be 2 judges present. Judge Judy I didn't see this post until after training so I will peruse my mag for details and make contact, thanks
  12. I agree! I don't want to buy any of it if it's junk ;) So I'll let someone else buy it first and let us know
  13. Neither did I til last night I'm guessing it's obedience and agility?? I might put ratbag into Open just to see how embarrassed I can get for one evening
  14. Perth people: does anyone know if there will be anyone available to measure dogs this Saturday at the mock trial at the K9?
  15. I thought maybe in Trixie's case it's because she's never really been alone, she has Kyzer for company during the day then me or OH any other time. Kyzer is used to waiting patiently while being on his own. She is a lot needier than him though, she stalks me around the house, Kyzer likes his space. I guess that is what I was kind of getting at. The first dog is usually left alone, and you go to troubles to make that happen. The second dog comes along and the first is always there for company, hence never getting the time to be alone unless you really make an effort to make that happen! Which in my case, I didn't. I also attribute Millie's behaviour to her upbringing before I got her, she was locked out in the yard 24/7 chained and muzzled so it's likely to have lasting behaviour effects on her. Doing my best to overcome it, but it's hard. It's like she has some loose live wires in her head and when they touch, it sets her off into psycho mode! And they touch very often, especially when trying to get her in and out of the car at training!!!
  16. I like this - takes the dog factor out of the equation. Regardless of if I had a dog or not there is NO way I'd want my neighbours in my backyard! That's just rude. I even hate it when neighbours stick their head over the fence! My dogs go berserk! Even overly friendly Labs can be territorial. I've had a previous neighbour stick their head over the fence to tell our dogs to stop barking (not the Labs, small yappy things we had when we were growing up) but umm an unknown person sticking their head over is just going to make them bark at YOU even more! Dogs barking are annoying, but seriously, that is not the way to go about quietening them down. Whoops, went off on a tangent...
  17. How are we meant to introduce subsequent dogs into the family correctly and giving them the alone time they need? Millie just has never gotten it. My two have been spoiled, human contact all day and being inside. The second I leave them alone in the backyard, terror strikes. Millie eggs Ruby on as I think Ruby could cope just fine being left alone all day. Sometimes more than one dog is more worry than it's worth
  18. Must be something to do with not being the first dog. Ruby is well balanced, can be left alone and won't carry on like a pork chop. I can even have my car door open with her and not tied in while training Millie and she stays put. Millie on the other hand, she can't handle being alone and missing out on being with me. She couldn't give a hoot if she isn't with Ruby, it's the human contact she wants. I swear if she could talk she'd tell me she wishes she was an only child!
  19. Gawd, Millie barked and cried the K9 grounds down last night when I took Ruby off for a wee She is such the terror to get in and out of the car and to leave behind. It's causing me much grief and making me want to leave her at home and not train her But can't leave her at home by herself, she goes into meltdown there too and destroys everything!! Argh!!!
  20. How about I just set Ruby loose when you're both in the ring? Easy plan, foolproof. She will make sure she goes up to each and every dog and person, causing major distractions
  21. Congrats Amy!! I might have to come down and watch and cheer you on
  22. Oh noooo poor Daisy!!! Dog attacks are just awful I hope she is ok and hasn't left any lasting effects on her confidence.
  23. When you own a breed that likes to jump on people, you need to reserve the word "down" for those occasions! Not that it works, mind you
  24. I'm glad I'm not the only one I've found myself throwing in a few "downs" instead of my usual "drops" too Bad, bad influence, Ptolomy!! ;)
