  1. Congrats on the agility, Kavic! Thanks She was eyeing off the figure 8 posts as we approached - I think she was weighing up if it was worth going and jumping on them or not
  2. I had such a late night last night that I'm not sure if I'll come down tonight But I want to watch a bit of the agility! Might head down for a little bit. Let me know if you'll be watching agility vCBR and I'll come find you
  3. I kept meaning to come up and introduce myself but you seemed a tad busy Hopefully tonight things will be calmer and I'll come and say hi I don't know anyone on the showing side, apart from valleyCBR, so it made it hard for me to come up and say hi to anyone
  4. Yes quite thorough! Which is why I was freaking out about this particular SFE for quite some time! It felt like it went FOREVER when I was standing there, but watching it back, it wasn't as long as I thought
  5. Alrighty here is our video from last night: My poor girl got confused with the LAT because I threw in a last minute change to revert back to the one behind my back, while she was all ready to do the U turn. Shoot the handler!!!!! This had made me decide to finally ditch the old one and only use the new U turn one, as crappy as her backend awareness is at the moment on flat ground!
  6. reminder: do not talk gloves to Ptolomy on Monday.... Funny thing is, I'd rather crash and burn than scrape through on a pass with a crappy score, which is all we ever did in CCD. Though 195 is certainly not a crappy score in my book, so to crash and burn last night was NOT a good thing!!
  7. If it wasn't for you guys picking and helping, I wouldn't be that close to a pass yet So please, keep picking away! I can't believe I keep missing out on passes by little things! (well ok, last week wasn't so little, jumping on the figure 8 post ) but usually it's just an SFE or a bloody sit stay between us and a pass. Sigh
  8. Thanks guys, yes I am very proud of Miss Ratbag. She may have laid down at the most inconvenient time, but I couldn't be prouder of her ringwork. If I could frame a video, I'd be framing that SFE!!! I'll upload some video soon Can't believe there's almost a month til the next trial, poo
  9. Proud as punch of the dusted off agility dog....Snazzy entered his first obedience trial and won Novice on 198 Congrats to Rubystar...you must be ecstatic with your SFE and fig 8 and congrats to bedazzled again for passing UD and Open Not sure why that was his first We could all see that he was destined to be an obedience dog! Well done, I watched your round and it was fantastic :D
  10. Semi-brags here from me from the Western Classic. Heelwork tonight was ok.. I've had better, but she stayed with me and it got more focused towards the end. It was HOT so she was puffing and panting the whole evening. The judge must have thought it was pretty good though, we got 38/40 for it. Edit: OK I just watched it back, yes I've had better but it actually wasn't that bad Just a few wide moments on turns which are more than likely handler problems (the left about turns were 100% handler problems, no doubt about it). YUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE brag for SFE - WE DID IT   :D I had no hopes whatsoever to pull off an SFE tonight. Judge is also a conformation judge so lets just say the SFE's aren't your casual stroke down the back! I was even contemplating leaving the ring after the heelwork to avoid the SFE that I thought would end very badly. But I'm glad we stayed - she didn't move a paw! Not even a hair on her paw moved VERY HAPPY :D 30/30. Passed recall and change of position, sitting on 195/200 with stays to go. And whaddya know, she drops on the sit stay. Little *****!! But I'm ecsatic that we passed the ringwork, and even more so that we managed an SFE, woooohoooooooooo!! I know there are some other brags to come, especially from someone else in Novice tonight
  11. Bonnie, I heart Cooper!! I'm leaning towards the red merles now - it went from black tris (very briefly), to blue merles (gorgeous colour!) to now red merle :D By the time I'm ready for one, I'll probably end up with a red tri which is a colour I would never even contemplate right now
  12. I'll be on the bottom oval tonight for obedience, but hope I get a chance to wander up at some stage. I plan on heading down on Sunday and maybe Monday for a gander, is there anybody else going that isn't actually entered?
  13. I wasn't there but it was windy in the city... meant to have storms today I think? :D Just great I wanna see some videos from last night, linky please to the one you watched
  14. Any brags from last night anyone? Or are you all entered tonight onwards? :D
  15. WOOHOOOOO good boy Brooklyn!!! Congrats Deb :D See you guys tonight!
  16. That does help, thankyou! So I guess I'll be watching on Sunday then
  17. Just as Rory figures out how to get both his fluoro yellow rubber ball (from Big W) and Kirra's fluoro orange one in his mouth at the same time. (Wish I'd had a camera for that one.) Ruby has walked away with her medium i-squeak in her mouth and a small dogs ball at the same time that she pinched from them at the park ;) Lucky the lady and her grandchild found it highly amusing that the funny Lab had 2 balls in its mouth
  18. Thanks! You seem to be the local expert on the show so can I ask another question please? How will I know when Aussies are on? And don't say after the Kelpie, cos I don't know when that is either! Beginning of show? Middle? End? I don't want to miss them The only dogs I've ever paid attention to in the show ring have been Labs and the occasional Beagle, but I really wanna watch the Aussies strut their stuff!
  19. Thanks!! Do the same amount show both nights?
  20. Sorry Sandi, to make up for my childish behaviour, I will bake chocolate brownies for Sat night
  21. Cool, thanks! How many Aussies are entered? I'll have to check them out on Sunday, as I'm not sure when I will be in the ring on Saturday. But hopefully I'll get a chance to check them out Sat too!
  22. I'm sorry but I can't let that one slide Ptolomy... that sounded wrong, so very very wrong! Back to my hole.....
  23. This is going to send me prematurely grey the way Ruby thinks these are the best things in the world!!
  24. I'm a newbie to clicker training too but just remember that the click is to mark the correct behaviour and the treat is the reward. You could also take a look at www.clickerlessons.com.. You can download the sheets in a printable format to carry around with you. Good luck! Good pick up, I overlooked the way it was worded the first time round JaxD is right, the click isn't the reward, it's just a marker to say yes that is what I wanted and your reward is coming!
  25. You should just type out the whole list to save people asking about individual breeds Yes please, cos I don't fancy going back through this thread to find out if and when any Aussies are on
