  1. very mysterious, but really effective, I like it what ever it is. It looks like a ghostly sky dragon.
  2. I think he was my fave too, although I loved the skipping dog and the Boston team and the dancing poodles? or were they cockers at the glass door.
  3. And if my friends are wondering why the water's always so dirty, I think I have solved that one. What do you mean I'm making it dirty? 5F6A5795dppt by kirislin, on Flickr No, I didn't jump in, I was pushed! 5F6A5797dppt by kirislin, on Flickr You wont tell on me will you? 5F6A5793dppt by kirislin, on Flickr Just a moment, I can see some dirt, I'm getting it out. 5F6A5800dppt by kirislin, on Flickr
  4. some friends asked me to check on their litter of greyhound puppies today while they were at work. It's a tough job but someone's got to do it. I wanted to get them all together and this was the only way I could manage it. Lots of squealing winging little puppies all crying to be let out. Can you count how many there are? 5F6A5771dppt by kirislin, on Flickr 5F6A5772dppt by kirislin, on Flickr 5F6A5773dppt by kirislin, on Flickr
  5. and you can write corny messages of love all over them too! That box has long since died but they loved it. I actually had 2 but the whippets who couldn't fit in used to queue outside waiting for one to leave so they could get inside. If you're not keen on having a cardboard box as part of the decor you can cover it with a blanket so they have to enter via a curtain (blanket) over the entrance. They love it even more because it's private. Penny used to get inside and when an unsuspecting whippet walked by she'd shoot her head out snapping like a moray eel and give them a good scare.
  6. I agree, I'm all for trying out cardboard boxes.
  7. I have a friend who had one and hated it. Things forever going wrong with it, he sold it when it was only a couple of years old, couldn't get rid of it quick enough. I agree though the ads are catchy.
  8. Actually, I'm seeing a glimmer of hope with Pagan this morning.
  9. I've heard ot Tellington touch, I have a friend who did it on horses. He went to a school over 20 years ago now with Linda Tellington Jones, I think that's her name.
  10. they didn't show all that last night. Now it makes sense, but hey, I thought it was illegal to have your dog in the front seat??!! I'm assuming that car has front passenger airbags, they'd kill a dog if they went off wouldn't they?
  11. we've got a very good DOLer who does obedience with her whippet. Murve with Orlando whippet, have a talk to her.
  12. yeah, their timidity is a real drawback zombie whippet by kirislin, on Flickr
  13. I know but I thought it was worth a shot. yep, I suppose if you were going to ask anywhere, this is the place.
  14. Hmmmmm I would imagine it's easier said than done. Too young and a breeder probably wouldn't want to stress the bitch and risk puppies, and once they're mobile keeping them in a basket might be hard. Good luck though.
  15. Not dog related but a really beautiful photo. :D Have a look. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=15898420&postcount=1
  16. she looks like a whippet!
  17. Yep, and she's a parti colour with watermarking. See the darker edges around her pale fawn patches? That's watermarking. I had a whippet exactly that colour, her name was Iris  She already had the name when I got her but I thought it was cute and apparently I had an aunt Iris, who I never met.
  18. Did someone say Whippet sledding? I forgot about that video. I wonder what they'd do if a hare ran in front of them while they're pulling. How funny is it at the end, as if they haven't had enough running, unharness them and they go racing off again for a play.
  19. It wouldn't surprise me. I used to fantasise about training mine.
  20. anywhere between 17"-21" and 9.5-20kgs  there's quite a bit of variation. Generally, a correct sized male shouldn't be anymore than about 15kgs though, that would be the upper limit.
  21. I'd just about bet money it's poo. I wrote about the same thing last week. http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/248471-one-of-the-consequences-of-sleeping-with-dogs/page__p__6183194__hl__consequences__fromsearch__1#entry6183194
