Not a full moon. I took this in 2009 with my first DSLR and the el cheapo kit lens 75-300. Hand held. It's the best I've managed, I've tried and tried since and cannot get anything worthwhile, possibly because my longest lens is now only 200mm. IMG_2458tcs b by kirislin, on Flickr

I think my fave is the pot bellied tri colour, the first puppy photo. Yes, they'll look alot better after they've had a good worming to clean out all those awful things. I'm seeing JRT in some too. Did the owner hand in the mother too, or will he be bringing another litter in to be euthed when she has her next litter in a few months time

That's going to be a very emotional day for you. I hope, as others here have said, it serves as a reminder to all groomers, and makes them all better professionals, so that no dog ever has to suffer like Buddy did.

Good luck Huga! I'm visiting a friend today who's a whizz with photoshop. I've put both pics on a memory stick and I'm going to ask him to put #2's black dog from the left hand side onto #1 photo and then I think I'll get it printed and framed. They just make me smile to see whippets so happy crazy. I've never had any of my photos printed so it will be a first for me. :D

I dont watch Dr Who but I watched that clip and it was decidely scary and creepy.

something hynotic about the moon isn't there. great photo. And what a good hubby! I hope he was rewarded accordingly :laugh: I did notice the moon down low in the sky last night as I went out to lock the chooks up.

I also personally love these photos, they bring back the memories of our whippet club beach days, where we'd sometimes get almost 30 whippets all running around playing and racing each other on the beach. We've stopped them simply because they were too popular and some of the dogs got pretty excited and we began to worry it might get out of hand, but boy were they fun! Oh you'll hear me if I win anything. To be honest I'm not holding my breath, I've never entered a photo comp but alot of people have liked these photos and suggested I enter one in a comp, so I thought what the hell!

Yep, it's done. I can always enter the other options into other comps if I really get the bug.

I know Marion, and I really like what you've done, I just feel I'd like to enter (for my very first comp) something that I haven't done anything to as in combining photos etc. The original photo was actually very dark, it all happened so fast I didn't have time to check my settings, but I was so glad I got them.

I think of the altered ones, I like this the best. But then I'd have even more of an ethical problem because someone else altered it for me! Except this one looks like a lot of the dogs are floating in mid-air as the proportions are wrong, so graphically it's not really one to enter in a photo comp. But they were floating in mid air. :laugh: They were all going mental.
