He sure is! Puck by kirislin, on Flickr

I used to get a bloke in an ultralight fly very low over my place, come to think of it, I haven't seen him for a while now. Talking about spooking livestock, what about hot air balloons? I've seen cattle bolt in a panic with them flying low overhead but it's common place here.

come on, you cannot say his name doesn't suit him. He's full of mischief and play. Puck Come on, play with me! by kirislin, on Flickr Puck by kirislin, on Flickr IMG_7815dppt by kirislin, on Flickr Puck: Life is good. by kirislin, on Flickr

Yes that's right, I have a whippet called Puck. I love his name and it suits him, and no one teases him about it. I do find it satisfying though when I have to tell him to Puck Off the furniture

I just saw you on the telly! :D

I took them in Victoria. And yes, although they sure looked very sweet, I still didn't dare to poke my fingers through to find out, although it was tempting.

Do You Think It Would Be Illegal In Australia?

for anyone who wants to see what I am objecting to, look here, but a warning, it's quite graphic, well, it is for the poor little mouse. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showpost.php?p=15762372&postcount=219 -
Do You Think It Would Be Illegal In Australia?

alive I put dead mice out on my fence posts for the birds when ever I catch one in a trap, but I think it's cruel to have a live mouse with no chance of escape set up just so the photographer can get his close up of its last moments. -
I must be a bit naive. I just saw a photo on another forum of a mouse being taken by an owl. Fair enough, except that it was staged and the mouse was deliberately put there to entice the owl to come. It was in the US I think, but I feel certain if that was done here and the person was found out, wouldn't they be charged with cruelty? I am not so desperate to get the shot that I'd sacrifice an animal for it.

she's very brave. I hope they dont retaliate.

 but I doubt it, some are quite high, way above the arm pits, and some are lower.

Wow, with my fat guts I'd really make those shirts look 3D

This is Roxy, she belongs to a friend of mine who rescued her at about 10 years old from a home of neglect. She had 2 eyes back then but within a year or so had to have one removed due to glaucoma. A couple of years later the other went the same way. All I can say is thank goodness she found Kate. I cannot imagine a more devoted and caring home for her. I took this photo up at the park this morning, she still gets a walk up there most days, on the lead, but at home she toddles about the property by herself, and still goes off exploring and enjoying life. Sled Dog Racing Season Starting..
Kirislin replied to paddles's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I've got something on this weekend so cannot go, but I'd be interested in knowing if they have anymore days. I dont have huskies but I'd love to see them in action anyway. I'm pleased to read that whippets do well, mine are all too old now, but I used to fancy training them to pull a sled, I used to have visions of myself hurtling down the main rd into town and probably causing car accidents as people looked on in amazement and lost concerntration and crashed their cars  . -
Yikes, I know a breeder of small dogs over that way. I'd hate to think of her dogs being stolen for who knows what.
-
If you dont have time perhaps you can remember where the shop is so Jacobite can contact them direct and buy it that way.
-
I dont know about that one but my dogs do alot of self medicating. They all copy Kibah, she's the one who starts it and the others follow. She eats Comfrey, Wild Mustard and Clivers as well as grass.
-
and many thanks to the 2 vets, Rappie and Andrew Turner who advised me to wait and see.
-
Yeah, lil' bit :D

todays update, it's really starting to dissapate now. :D When I think I very nearly booked her in to have her eye removed! I hope these photos are educational to other dog owners. Dont panic and immediately think the worst, as I did. IMG_4426t by kirislin, on Flickr

I'm so sorry, and I agree about the photos.
