  1. I found it didn't smell to much, the only rule is not to put the compost on any food trees. why is that. what could happen?
  2. I'm sure your English teacher was right in this case.
  3. I hope your friend is OK, the poster who was critical of the innocent pedestrian reminds me of my brother, it's not you is it bro? He once said it wasn't his bull terriers fault that it savaged a little dog, the little dog jumped in his mouth!
  4. I'd seen photos on facebook some time ago of the ATAT dog (whippet) getting its costume made. Now I know what it was to be used for at least.

  6. I haven't seen that vid before, dammit, it made me cry, and I dont do that alot. Perfect sound track too.
  7. awww Happy Gotcha Day Zero, that was a lucky day indeed, for both of you.
  8. I grew up with dogs, and it's probably made me love them as an adult. Ours weren't allowed in the house back then. I had some family come and stay for a couple of days and of course the whips were all over them like a rash. The kids loved it, I think it was a novelty to have dogs in the bed with them. the baby was carefully supervised.
  9. I've been going through some old photos, and I keep thinking, I should put these pics on DOL, so I've started taking photos of photos. Here's some. If anyone else wants to add their oldies please go for it. :D The first is Muffin using her mum Kibah as a bean bag. I had to rehome Muffin from her original family at about a year old and she now lives in my town, I see her regularly, she is now fat but well loved. Lolly, the only parti colour of the litter, and Chloe, who now lives in Queensland. Auntie Penny who was a bit of a worry at first when she saw the puppies, I think she thought they were food, but she obviously settled down enough for me to trust her. That's Feather she's with and the survivors, Kibah had 9 pups in total, one born dead and the other died the next day. They had a very shakey start but are all still alive and thriving almost 9 years later. I'll take some more photos today and add them.
  10. I couldn't read it, says that it's blocked in protest against censorship.
  11. I love the way you've captured the interaction between them all. And that sweet Ruby letting them pull her down and think they've caught her and the pic of her with her bottom in the air inviting them to play. What a gentle girl she is.
  12. very very funny! I could imagine her saying "Hello boys and girls"............ not sure what would come after, maybe just lots of kids screaming in terror.
  13. that's always the trouble I have too, they mostly run towards me, and there's only so many photos you want to see like that.
  14. You say you are inexperienced with dogs but I think you actually did pretty well watching him and reading his body language.
  15. I like this one! It would've been good to get all of her in, but I know how hard these shots are, you dont have alot of time to set up. Would they run like this in the park? You might have more luck.
  16. this is really hard to read. Could you please use commas and full stops? What does df stand for?
  17. Here's kooky Lily again. I cant usually get sideon shots of my own whippets so Lily gives me some practice in panning. manual f/9 1/160th Macro 100mm lens
  18. Here's a pic of Tag, Puck and their sister Lily who's staying with us for her holidays. I dont think she's missing her mum at all, having too much fun.
  19. Panning! impressive! you're doing much better than I did when I first got it.
  20. awwww not this thread again!
  21. So he was yours?!!!!! Wow! Did you breed him, did he stand at stud. If so, do any of his progeny show the same longevity as him? I do remember reading about him in the stock horse magazine, and I was obviously impressed because it stuck in my mind. :D You were so fortunate to have had him in your life when you needed him. I'd love to know more about him, perhaps, if you feel like it, you could start a thread in OT, there's lots of other horsey people here, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd love to know his story and it defintely deserves its own thread.
  22. mixed breed maybe some staffy, maybe even a bit of sharpei.
  23. Isn't it exciting unboxing it all, like Christmas. Keep the packaging, if you ever have to send it off, or if you decide to re sell it's better to keep it all. Brings a better price and easier to prove you haven't stolen it.
