thanks for that link, yes he sure does have some great angles. I was quite restricted in where I was allowed to go. Basically just one corner, so I didn't have much opportunity for shots. If I go again I will ask about crossing the track and getting to some other places.

This is where I was yesterday. I had fun. Mostly I dont know who the riders are. 1/160th hand held, that whopping 70-200 and 7D. One day I'll weigh them. vroooommm!

I think she has to eat the kernel inside the seed to get cyanide poisoning. In the past my dogs eat the nectarines, even very unripe ones and have had no problems, so long as they leave the seed capsule intact. Mine dont swallow it either. Did your girl eat the seeds too? I'm very glad she's OK now.

She's just lovely.

Lovely photos of a gorgeous little dog. The last pic is very whippeticious.

I think any tea can be used as an anti inflammatory. I just brew up a normal tea bag when my dogs or horses eyes become red and sore, so I think it would soothe skin too.

Usually twice per day, sometimes more if I spot some I've missed.

when Penny was quite young she found an enormous, ahem, I'll call it sex toy at the park, very realistic it was too, apart from the size, surely no one is really that big. She grabbed it and ran around and around doing that gleeful buckjumping you see some dogs do and shaking it vigorously from side to side. It was going thwack thwack thwack on her ribs as she shook it. Then she lay down, placed her paws on it to hold it still and started pulling at the "skin". Just then a man walked past and saw what she was doing. I was horrified and very quickly claimed innocence. 'It's not mine!' I say. All he said was "that looks painful" and kept walking.

I dont believe that is possible. It's an old wives husbands tale

a bit more about these 2. It seems they were in a shelter but it looks like it's got a happy ending. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2055471/A-new-home-blind-Great-Dane-devoted-guide-dog.html

that's lovely! I wish I'd thought to do that yesterday, we had a deluge here, no doubt the same one you had. I fear what my gravel driveway will look like this morning. Good to see you back here too.

start reading the manual and get familiar with all the controls, and then just start snapping.

You'll have lots of fun with that combo and yes it's too cruel making you wait so long, but think how excited you'll be on the morning of your birthday.
-
that took a while, did you get it from DWI? I'd love that lens too, as well as the 24-70. Santa, are you listening? Flaves have you tried it out yet? It can take a bit of tweaking and there's lots and lots of custom functions, so many it's scary.

I just picked up a box of free shipping squeaky toys from them on Monday! I wonder if there's anything else they need. hmmmmmm

I thought I was the only one who fed this to pets. Just watch out though, it's very salty I think, although I haven't fed it for years.

I use redbubble for calendars but their postage has almost doubled in the last year and I think it will influence whether or not I buy.

When I tried to close their eyes they woke up and jumped off the chair.

Is there anything you can do about it. What would the person be doing with that pnoto? What's imgur? Are they claiming it's theirs or are they just showing it 'cause it's cute? I must say I was very surprised to find one of my photos had been lifted and put on a facebook group. I let it stay there but let them know it was mine.

Thanks KaseyC. good ol' dogsonline, I can always rely on someone knowing :D I hope your Whippets are ok Kirislin. Next time you see the K9 chiro, you will have to photograph her wearing her name badge.... I am sure it would be a beautiful photograph :-) thanks for the good wishes, my guys are all OK it's a friends whippet who's a bit poorly. It would be a sweet photo of healing hands on a whippy wouldn't it.

There's a female doggy chiropractor who travels to your house, she works around Melbourne, can anyone tell me her name and give me her phone number please. I've had her to my whippets but for the life of me I cannot recall her name. I'm having a senior moment I think.

We're a whippet club but we've had other breeds come along sometimes. forgot to say though, whippets can be dreadfully "racist" or perhaps it should be breedist. they've sometimes been compared to little meerkats and here they are doing the meerkat thing of mobbing telling this interloper he does not belong on their beach.

You got some really lovely shots, especially the mother and baby chimp! and that little tiger cub, how lucky were you!! The elephant looks like the minister for silly walks in one shot.

Yes unfortunately, it's dogs on lead all through the warmer months now. The car park is a rip off there anyway, we might have to find another beach. We've been there 3 times since April (I think), the first time it was $8 for the day, the next visit it was $9 and now it's $10!! When ever we've gone there we are the only ones in the car park, it's not well used at all, even the locals say so. It's such a rip off. I cannot see how they can justify the charges. $1 for 20minutes. anyway, that's my rant. Yes that gangly little pup was a real goer alright, he looks like he's being hammered by the other dogs but when they stopped he was right into the crush again.
