I know! and the 5D was $1958 last time I looked. the little nifty fifty is only $80. I paid that much for it second hand.

I dont have battery grips but your lens collection will be very similar to mine. I have the old version 100mm macro, which right now with DWI is less than $500! and I want the 24-70. Also started daydreaming about a 5D

You've got similar lenses to me, but I dont have extenders or external flashes. Cant wait to see what you think of it.

How much duty do they charge? I'm watching our $ rise again, I suspect prices might have more to do with the Yen than the US $. What lenses are you thinking about. I've been dreaming of the 24-70 but I hear differing opinions on it matched with the 7D. I dont really want to buy the 17-55 cause it's an EFS.

Are they going to say to customs it cost less than $1000 otherwise you have to pay duty on it. What happened when you bought your 5D? Oh and high speed continous is pretty cool :cool:
