Thanks Chezzyr and Luke W. Next question is about copyright. I am happy to allow this person to use the pics on her website to advertise her product if she wishes, I have't asked for payment but I'd like her to credit me as the photographer and I also want to be able to use the pics as I please. I am not giving her permission to sell the pics, I doubt very much that anyone would want them anyway. If I tell her that is it enough?

I took some pics for a woman at out whippet day and she's sending me a USB stick to put them on. I shot in RAW but have since converted them to jpeg. I still have the RAW files as well though. I've never used a USB stick so not sure what happens. Do I put both types of pics on it so she can fiddle with the RAW ones herself if she wants? Can you even put RAW files on a USB stick. I have no idea. Help!

My dogs eat grass and lots of other plants/weeds they sniff out themselves (clivers, wild mustard). They also love raw veggies, pumpkin, carrots, lettuce, any of the cabbage family, tomatoes, bananas, apples, pears, nectarines, watermelon and cantaloupe skins, I find it harder to say what they wont eat. I dont have a food processor though so I couldn't do the poll. seeing what my dogs choose to eat themselves is the reason why I dont agree with an all meat diet. Puck with the remains of stolen nectarines "sorry mummy" and Tag "am I in trouble?" Puck stealing my rocket even through the wire I'd tried to protect it with. Kibah eating wild mustard, a weed at the park and clivers

I wasn't able to speak to him when I picked her up, I think he was still in surgery. I spoke to him this morning about sending it off. I decided not to as for me the results would be the same, if she gets another growth, I'd have it taken off, even if this one was benign. I just couldn't see the point, if as I said, she'll get the next one taken off regardless. He suspects it is the blood vessel tumour just by looking at it, I forget the medical name but it's the nasty one from what I understand. To be honest I dont think I want to know too much.

Penny is home and she seems fine, very bright and alert, her normal happy lively self. If she had her way she'd be outside wrestling with the boys. the wound is a bit weepy so I have to watch she doesn't lick it. I think she'll be OK with it. thanks for the good wishes for her.

Dogs Seeking To Eat Grass...
Kirislin replied to persephone's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
the clam shell sounds like a good idea cause it wouldn't have holes to drain the water out, you wouldn't need alot of water to keep it going. My dogs eat so many plants of their own choice, I just dug up some seedlings last week from the park. It's a patch of weeds, maybe wild mustard or rocket that they eat, so now I am cultivating some here for them. Puck can hardly wait, I have to keep it covered till it establishes but he's been poking his nose through the wire and plucking the little seedlings. I think the grated vegies also sound like a good idea for your dogs Persephone. -
I get lamb flaps from the butcher but I do trim that thick fat off and throw it in the paddock for the birds. I like the ribs because Feather is a bit woosy when it comes to chewing bones but I can cut down individual ribs and give her one at a time. She loves that. The others just get about half a flap as one meal.

Cute, is that cop teddy packing? what's that shiny black thing on his left hip?

Taken with my favourite lens. A pretty visitor at our whippet fun day today. I dont know how I got the vignetting effect, just the shadows I suppose but I really like it.

Hooray ring the bells! alert the masses! we have POOOOOOOO!! I will take her down today when I go to pay, just in case he wants to see her again but I think Feather is all back to normal. Mary thanks for the link, I had a brief look but I find I just get scared when I read all the maybes. I hope it's being dealt with quick enough, she's had it about a month I think. She fits the criteria though, fair skinned and loves to sunbake. I hope it hasn't spread.

Still no poo from Feather but she is much brighter this morning. I am a restless sleeper so although the vet said just give her lectade till I go to bed every time I woke up Feather got a dose. We worked out a good system too so I didn't drip most of it onto the floor. If she lays on her side and doesn't lift her head I can just dribble it into her mouth, she liked it after a while! So I've managed to get almost half a litre into her. She didn't get up for a wee all night so I am hoping that means most of the fluids are going into softening that nasty concrete poo. She was very keen for brekky just now but cant have any until we get some action from the other end. I've had a gentle feel and can not feel the hard lumps I found in her tummy yesterday, I think she's going to be fine but I will probably still take her back to the vet this morning for confirmation. Thankyou everyone for your well wishes for my precious girlies. I am sure they felt your warmth. Linda, Penny and Feather

cant sleep, no Feather hasn't poo'd yet. I have been syringing lectade into her. I've discovered she swallows it best when she's lying on her side. she seemed to spit most of it out when she was standing. I will make an appointment for Penny to get the lump off next week. Feather has to go back tomorrow if she hasn't done a poo and he will take more drastic action. It's going to be the Princess Di treatment, warm water up her bottom to try to break up her turds. Oh the shame. Poor Feather.

Licking Her Ummm Private Parts
Kirislin replied to chuckie500's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I wonder if it's not her that's irritating it, maybe it's because it's irritated that she is licking it. I wonder if her wee is acidic, maybe she's got nappy rash. I wouldn't be putting wound guard on it, that's not what it's for. -
Me neither Annie, dont worry, you'll have lots of fun with it. It's beautiful for portraity type head shots too.
-
Nope, it has to come off. He said it could be either a melanoma or a blood vessel tumour, he suspects it's the latter, which is the worse of the two. My Feather is sick too, she has a blockage and is the reason we went to the vet today in the first place, I threw Penny in as well luckily. Feather had an xray and it looks like it's just really big hard poos, yesterday was bone day, she must have had too much. He gave her an emema this eveing, you shoulda seen me racing home, scared silly she was going to let fly in the car. She still hasn't gone as far as I know. Hope it's not in my bed. I have to give her electrolytes every hour and another enema tomorrow morning. the things we do for love.

What To Do For A Rash Under The Collar?
Kirislin replied to charliehotel's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
While she isn't wearing the collar I'd give it, the collar that is a good scrub too. It might be carrying bacteria on it from the dams that could flare up again if it goes back on her. I've no idea really but better to be safe. -
Is he OK?
-
Yep, I suspect she'd bleed like a stuck pig if I played around with it. I've been known to have a squeeze of lumps but I am not touching this one.

Advice On New Camera - Which Canon
Kirislin replied to Kirra_Bomber_Zeus's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
You used a Canon???? I am surprised it didn't burn your hands, like holy water on a vampire!!!!!! -
Definitely not a tick, I looked closely, I know what they look like. I can see why you might have thought that though. Very occasionally I've seen them on dogs here (never on my own) but they're pretty uncommon in this area as well.

I am taking Penny to the vets this arvo about this. I think it might just be full of blood but she's rising 10 so thought it best to get it looked at. Any ideas what it might be, want to beat the vet in a diagnosis? she hasn't been licking it, she's ignored it but I wet the fur around it so I could see it more clearly. I dont think it bothers her.
-
Wow, see what comes of people who take notice of their dogs. Well spotted. I am taking two of mine to the vet this arvo. One has a creepy spot that I cant decide if it's just a blood blister or sometning more sinister.

Love this one!!

DOH! Missed it.

Just crop it a bit. it's a lovely photo, apart from his "happiness" showing .
