  1. Mmmmmm nipples and a 6 pack! they look like they need a bit of a scrub though.
  2. some great photos. lots of fun. CM he really looks like he's saying "where too?" Iltby I've loving seeing life in miniature over the month, you've taken some amazing photos. I wish I was more creative but mine seem to be more just snapshots of my life, boring as it is. Still, I've enjoyed it. I went to the farmers market this morning. It's held at the old railway station. and then I took the whips for a walk and here's my beautiful Kibah looking her always gorgeous self
  3. yippeeeee congratulations!! I love your early attempts. I reckon Nikon and Canon should be paying DOLers a commission. I bought my 50mm after seeing the photos here and I wouldn't be surprised if others have made their purchases after seeing the fabulous photos people have taken and put up here as well.
  4. thought I'd try to get out before the real heat of the day, I've already walked all 5 whippets in two shifts, gone shopping and been home for an hour or so. this one's a self portrait hahaha. those lumps are elbows not boobs and the lump lower down is my camera bag in case you're wondering. then Chloe copping the third degree. she's a real in your face dog and Penny in not too fond of her. Chloe is looking submissive here but she was allowed to leave with her life. and beautiful Pagan, before the heat sets in.
  5. Love the bubble shots, it's a bit hot here, not feeling too inspired.
  6. aww this is just too much!! You have these guys to take pics of!!!!! Not fair pricky pear! I need an emoticon with bottom lip pout.
  7. Terra you can even see the indentation of where the pin pushed in before it peirced the balloon. You did a great job, I would've been scared water would splash on the camera.
  8. Hahaha, what a beauty Terranik! I am having similar trouble inasmuch as I need an extra hand. It's hot, I was lying on the bed eating a Heaven icecream, as you do in the heat and Penny was waiting expectantly for her share. This was the best I could do under the circumstances, you get the idea.
  9. I love Shaanis' eye view of the wrestling dogs and Hugas' pug, I think I can see your reflection! I wanna eat the cheesecake yum. so many amazing pictures in this thread. My pic is rather uninspiring today, it's hot here, I'd been hoping Tag would get in his wading pool and do something silly but he was as uninspired as me. Here he is, even when he's doing nothing he's a handsome boy.
  10. yep they're Iggies, sorry I forgot to mention that. How sad about the mother and pups for your friend. does she breed a bit, she was lucky to have another bitch who could take on the newborns. You will get more chances to take your camera hopefully. we want to see.
  11. Oh I love the paintings your dad did. The first thing I was reminded if with the child cuddling the puppy was Lucien Freud although there's something a bit icky about his, he paints naked men with whippets. I wish I came from an artistic family. I think a few family members have talent there but I dont think they've really awakened it. Can we see more of what your dad has done. Has he sold his work, I hope so.
  12. thanks for the comments, she's a little sweetheart alright. A friend of mine might be going to foster her for a time and her owner let her stay with my friend for the weekend to see how she'd cope. Yesterday they came here for a visit and her owner picked her up. We were all very pleased to see how well the little girl handled it all and I was also happy with my whippets apart from a jealous Feather who got her nose out of joint about it all so I crated her. I took heaps of pics, about 100 and I think this one is the best, I haven't done a thing to it, no sharpening, no colour adjusment or trimming, it's exactly as it was in the camera and I really like it. I had a very photogenic subject though didn't I. Here's some more of her and her friend Luigi
  13. a few guessed it, a spiders web with "dew", in this case supplied from a gentle spray with a garden hose. ;)
  14. I'm pretty sure you can reverse this pic if you want to as well. I dont have the program to do it but I bet someone has.
  15. I apologise for not commenting on everyones pics individually. I can only say I check here many times a day just to see what beautiful, imaginitive, creative, clever, cute photos you've all posted. I've been obsessing over getting a sharp pic of Pagans eye. This is about the best one yet taken with my cheapie kit lens. I was thinking about selling the lens but I dont think I will. I'd still like to get a better shot when she's more awake and not with goobies in the corner of her eye, but this will do for now and this pretty flower is in one of my wine barrel water gardens. I had to play around with the exposure which I haven't done much.
  16. My beautiful mare Pagan, Aussie Stock Horse. about 10 minutes ago. she's in the Jenny Craig paddock again and this look was saying are you going to let me out? Look how pretty her fluffy wavy forelock is.
  17. this was actually from yesterday, I went to St Kilda beach with a friend and 4 whippets. It was incredibly windy so much so it nearly blew us off our feet. The wind was warm though, we had a great time. Little Kibah was leaning into the wind and her mane was blowing around like a horses' Here's a pic of the dust storm.
