I have a sad, sad story to tell ;) It involves a helpless victim, whos defences are no match for the rampaging pillagers. the victim............. the terrible carnage the heartless attackers with some of their spoils they just look cute, they're really horrible! these were just taken not long ago so they're a bit dark, the sun's getting low. I couldn't be bothered changing lenses. Oh, and there's probably 30 or more nectarine pips on the grass, I will be lucky to get one. -

I haven't got one single paper copy of any photos I've taken with this camera yet. They're all still just on my computer. I do have a couple of horse photos taken with old film cameras. One, must be about 25 years old. I have a couple of drawings of horses and whippets but that's all. -
Is your puppy skinny? Are you sure he's just not hungry because he's getting other stuff during the day?

hey, it looks like some of our moon shots a few days ago, even down to the crater -
His eyes will change colour, probably to a light greenish brown. What state are you in. We have a whippet racing club in Victoria.

Oh ewwww ugh Rayvk, that is truly disgusting! dont ever have a coffee at their place without first smelling the milk. -
Thanks Kirislin, Our puppies have been well fed by their mum. Did your vet suggest a hereditary factor for your babies or simply put it down to the way they were being fed? Thanks, Baguley I dont actually know if mine really were swimmers. It wasn't what they were being fed, it was the way I was holding them. I was a complete novice, I had no idea how to hold them and the little buggers would struggle so I held firmly. The vet didn't even believe me when I told her I thought I was causing it, but for me it was proof because as soon as I changed the way I held them they got their proper shape back. They all survived and 6 years later are healthy, the worst one was my very own Feather who went on to be a successful racing whippet.

How come? what do you do. Can you say one got lost????? My mouth is nearly watering and I have a Canon.

The first litter of whippet puppies I had were bottle fed and by 2 days old the vet was saying they were swimmers. I'd never heard of it before but in my puppies case I soon realised it was the way I was holding them to feed and just pick them up. I had my thumb on their chests and because their bones were so soft I was quickly squashing them to that shape. As soon as I realised what I was doing I changed the way I held them and within about 2 days they were fine again. I dont know if that's why your puppies are shaped that way but I wonder if it's too late to start gently pressing them maybe with the flat of your hands on either side of their ribs to shape them. Is it worth a try?

Awww you clever thing!! thankyou!! My mare has the most beautiful kind eyes, even when she's half asleep, and she's got this massive long fine haired wavy mane and forelock, like a little andalusian. I remember her mother had really wrinkly eyes at her age but my girl still looks like a filly. Must be the easy life she's had. -

the pic I had planned to put up didn't work, I couldn't tell until I got home and saw it on my computer, my eyesight is that bad. so I just went out and snapped this plant. I would love to be able to capture a shot of the native bee that visits it, maybe tomorrow. I beleive it's called the blue banded bee, but I think of it as the blue arsed fly because it zooms around like one. I wondered if that is where the expression came from. -
Oh oh oh, why did I look now, I am starving, waiting for my dinner to cook. Roughcoat do you cook the food as well as photograph it? How fancy and extravagant are those plates!!!!!! For dinner tonight I am roasting spuds and sweet potatoes and garlic cloves in garlic infused olive oil and I am going to toss them with a smoked trout and drizzle a lemon and olive oil dressing over the top. I haven't got much in the fridge or pantry so I am making do with whats there. Still, I am looking forward to it.

I was thinking about the Strawberry flany tarty thing I made. I dont think I've ever taken a pic of food before but it was yummy and I thought it looked so pretty. Here it is. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I want to make another one. so make my mouth water some more and post a pic, or turn me off something forever by posting a failure.

I had a crappy day photographywise, even crappier than my usual efforts. First, this little water planty thing I've had for about 18 months decided to flower for the first time, so I took a pic of it. then while I was at work I was thinking about how I could've taken it better, by getting lower and including a bit of foreground, so I decided I'd take another shot when I got home. But when I got home it was all shrivelled up and DEAD!!! I suppose I should've taken a pic of that too. Anyway at work I've decided I can become a spy because I was watching these young blokes talking together in the park. They had no idea they were being photographed and I was surprised that when I zoomed right in on my computer I can easily read their number plate. And these dipsticks, I hate it when they do this. It wrecks the gravel and sometimes they even do it on the ovals. wish I'd managed to get their number plate. Ooopss, I meant to say these are yesterdays, not todays -

My sleepy pony Pagan. She is such a calm unflappable girl, she comes around the house, stepping around the furniture, drinks from the water gardens, eats from the bird feeder and then goes to sleep outside my kitchen door, and I mean literally outside the door. Not much bothers this girl. -
I am not qualified to give advice but there are plenty of people here who know their way around a camera who can. They'd probably need to see your photos though.
