  1. Appreciated Kja- I will fwd this answer to her. Im pretty sure this is the camera she has decided upon, but she wanted to hear from other owners for their opinion.
  2. Thank You Rubiton. Ill recheck my settings.
  3. I have a nikon d90 with kit lenses. I so want to catch my dogs in action like the shots Ive seen here. I always get the grass around the dog in perfect focus but the dog is blurred....I have tried sports mode, shutter priority.... occasionally if I manual focus and all falls to the mark I get a crisp picture of a moving dog...but for one shot I have 3o blurred. Can anyone outine a rechnique that I could practice to gain a better shot???
  4. Ive already had a photo for today...but I took this one (my friend dislikes it "she dont know why") Ill post it anyhow as an extra. Editing is rough as I was at a loss on this one.
  5. My friend has loved watching me play with my camera (Nikon) and now wants to get a camera of her own. She is looking at the Canon 50d. She wants to know is digital noise is a bigger issue with this model and if such are night shots affected? How does the 50d handle for the price? Hey I have a nikon, so I thought Id put it out there as I know little re Canons

  9. Well here's my first two shots of the month. Was totally tired for Jan 1 so took a pic of the first thing I noticed when going out the back with the furkids.. Day 2 and well I decided to look upwards for inspiration (actually I was looking at a mark on the ceiling) and captured the light fitting from a different angle... Ive been so busy of late my camera and I have sadly been strangers :D ...Hopefully this challenge will reaquaint us.

  13. Loving this theme. Have tried to get the girls interested in a pic shoot- they seem allergic to tinsel. Thing I might have to approach things from a different angle. Just the same im enjoying watching these great pics.

  15. Currently I have a small huntsman living in the bathroom. It is welcome to stay as long as it follows the house rules: 1. Stay up high 2. Dont feel tempted to go near my puter 3. Stay away from my ensuite. After seeing that living pinecone I have added two more rules: 4. Female spiders are no longer welcome 5. All spiders who live in my house must be celibate. All those who dont obey the house rules get a free ride in my dyson.
  16. Just a question...I have been watching the breeders thread for a while now and I note that some caesars are done flank. I have only had midline caesars done by my vet......I am always concerned that the incision line heals slowly due to pups feeding and the like. Can anyone explain this to me? I once requested an active bitch of mine get spayed flank and was told it was an 'unsafe' option....is it a vets personal preference that makes this call?
  17. sorry Ellz.....I have been following your lil purple's thread hoping and praying all would be overcome. You did everything possible for her. Run free lil purple. to you.
