  1. im in Melbourne...... Update on the condition is that the piece fell out easily, the camera now accepts the new card but the card doesnt eject anymore. Thanks for the replies- so Im looking for a repairer in Melbourne. I know that the camera stores send to nikon collingwood. Is that the way to go or is there preferred repairers out there???
  2. Is the grey in front nicknamed rudolph????
  3. Seems like all is pointing to a breach of the guidlines & rules. As a photo of wildlife generally I feel there must be more impressive shots out there, this one seems benign to me. I have friends that send me pps of photos of various subjects all much more facinating than this. Am I missing the element in this photo that makes it a winner???? Sad situation for all concerned I say.
  4. no-it wont accept which made me look harder. Are there specific repair places to which to send your camera????
  5. Just looked under a powerful light- broken piece is in card bay of camera-behind the teeth..... Guess I have to see it go to a repairman somewhere??? ugh its been just over a year...so I guess I dont need concern with warranty.
  6. Hi I have just tried to load my sd card from my reader back into my camera. It wouldnt load. On investigation I see that a corner of the plastic has broken off. Now Ive given the card reader a thorough go over....is it likely the card piece (xsmall) could be lodged in the camera card slot??? Is it likely the piece will never get located? BTW it still reads in the cardreader. Should I be concerned or try a new card and move on?
  7. Kirslin Love the gloominess- adds to the intruigue. Wolfsong I wish I had a willing subject like yours. Fiona c..Awwwwwww im in luv ;) SB Love the bike shots. Still looking at them all.... 9. TD The passionflower was taken with my 55-200 lense (the flower was up high and im height challenged) manual focus. I use nikon d90...sometimes it gets lonely with all these canons around... Thanks for the encouragement folks....I am so enjoying this challenge.
  10. ok..day 20 a pic of Luci my heart dog. Shes making a hasty retreat after scoffing the unwanted fried rice I put out for the birds. Day 21 The fruiting vine's flowers caught my eye. Apparently its never bore fruit my neighbour told me...I showed him thats because it obviously fruits on my side of the fence!!! (pointing them out) Obviously the prev owners never shared that info with him....
  11. Sd I missed it poodlemum...it sounded nice.
  12. Excuse my ignorance...but someone commented something like 'when I saw her color I knew her time was limited"..why does color (or pigment) mean anything. How do they determine a 'breed' rather than a cross of similar appearance???? Is it subjective? In my past experience the clinic I worked for used to have a few apbt on treatment list..trust me there were more scary terrier crosses out there compared to them, treated right they were just honeys. So sad- run free from this cruel world.
  13. Great pics...becncharch love those StKilda shots- just lovely. Nice shot SB interesting. Love the pic of Zero shell- such a crisp appearance to your picture and the light filtering in background/on water really nice. 18. Still not well... And my poo's a bit frustrated by me being unwell and the bad weather outside.....when they play fight its all about the mouths... Oh and the expression Apologies to all the more skilled photographers...enjoying your picks and inspiration.
  19. How blessed to have her by your side for near 20yrs. Such wonderful memories she leaves you with. Fly free little Abbey. to you at this time.
  20. Actually it is a blessing that the dog showed the snake to his owners...as said he had been bitten....they would have been clueless if they hadnt seen this sight, and well...identification was easier!. I think I personally would have been a basket case.
  21. Just of interest how does the method of advertising guarentee the quality of the provider/goods???? As everyone has access to the same advertising methods..ie trading post,gumtree..etc.. reputable breeder of otherwise. Just as how does the place where people find an advertisement define how suitable they are to purchase and own a dog? I think that registered breeders should be open to advertise where the "uninformed" may see it. I can attest many good people I meet have very little idea where to source information/reputable breeders....I see that such advertising may result in some inquiries that are pure nuisance, but then again it may save someone from going down the BYB track. I am amazed at the $$ spent by puppy farms in advertising....sadly it impresses some enough to buy.
