  1. Jessie is the leader. She is the first one to bark, then Jet follows. When Jet is being to full on for her liking she will growl at him. Jet has never growled at her and follows her everywhere. So many situations have proved she is. I think it sounds like Emmy is the leader by what you have said but like you said she is still a pup it could change.
  2. I use a spray bottle with growling... works a for us. Some people don't agree with it but it has been the only way I can control the behaviour. I praise him a lot when he is doing good. Jet loves water but hate being squirted. ETA: I don't spray him in the face, on his body.
  3. oh god! Note to self: take keys out of car when dogs are inside.
  4. This does work well with some dogs.
  5. I am sorry kirty It is hard when you have tried your best to prevent it. I have felt so angry at Jet a couple of times for things he has done. I know of a GSD who has caused a lot of damage to her owners fences because she is that strong she has destroyed them. I hope you can find the answer soon.
  6. I saw this on Tuesday night! good work
  7. bummer, I am so tempted by the soft crates.... I spent to much money on COTD last week!
  8. I see a lady walking around my neighbourhood when I am out with the dogs in the aftenoon with a dog stroller. I think CWEW will use it for little Charlie. I think the purpose is for dogs that can't walk long distance etc.
  9. my 18 month old does this to Jessie who is 9 years old. I think it is a territoral thing?

    Why?

I try to stop her eating the dog food as much as possible and same with the dog eating the cat food but they are sneaky.
  11. No routine here. They get fed when I feel like it (its after or before dinner but dinner is not at the same time everynight) They don't get walked the same days everyweek. Just depends on what I am up to.
  12. Jetty

    Why?

Can cat food harm them? My old girl LOVES cat food & my kitten LOVES dog food ;)
  13. oh no Rach. That is horrible. I hope recovery is quick and you can work out a solution soon. I was concered this morning because my old girl fully went for my little boy. It was over a bone (they had one each so I don't know why she reacted) Luckly I was standing right there when it happened, she didn't bite.
  14. I pay under $40 a month for Jet. I think he is on the top or medium cover with PIA. Never made a claim but customer service has been good. I have heard a lot of positive things about them.
  15. Dandybrush - They were very nice. It was Jet's first experience in the kennel and he has a case of fear agression so he was very scared and it was a struggle for me to leave. They went out of there way to actually spend individual time with him once I left until he settled down, which I was very impressed with
  16. I used Beenleigh Pet Motel a few months ago just for over night. They were really helpful and nice
  17. Everyone in our household is full time. We have two dogs. They get plenty of attention in the afternoon/at night though.
  18. OMG that is such a good photo. Jet is very sneaky when it comes to bins! he manages to be at my feet one minute then next thing you know he is in the bin eating left overs
  19. We were on Supercoat and it was not the best for them... Then I tried Royal Canin and honestly there coats and poo's were not the best. So now I am on my first bag of Optimum and I must say they love it and there poo's are improving.
  20. Sentinal Monthly. We have no problems with fleas or ticks anyways.
  21. wow thanks! there price was great! And it's more expensive than my vet was Yep Sandra777, just found that out eeeeeek x 2 Hi ♥JJ, I had my new 7 y/o female Westie desexed at Koala Park Vets at Victoria Point, it cost me $199.50 so I was pretty happy with that. They price by dog size. A bit far from me but thanks!
  22. I don't want to hijack the thread but is there a discounted place that does desexing?
  23. Jet cocks his leg all the time when we are on walks etc. He was desexed at 8 months old. He was doing it before then to. I was hoping it would stop after we desexed him but it didn't.
  24. My two seem to pull me when I walk them together which I am trying to work on! Alone Jet can be a great to walk. I don't mind if his is in front or whatever as long as I am not getting pulled over. I usually bring him back beside me when other dogs are passing us if I can't avoid them. (I try to avoid them because Jet has a case of fear agression)
