Vet Recomendation's For Pakenham
ophnbark replied to claireybell's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Zoran Milasinovich at Fountain Gate Vet Clinic in the Pets At Home store at Narre Warren is fantastic. We have been going to him for years and are happy to travel an hour to get there. He's very gentle with the animals and they love him. He also listens to the owners and doesn't treat them like idiots. He's not cheap but couldn't recommend him highly enough. -

The Group 7 entertainment was provided by two Schipperke babies who both refused to walk around the ring but looked very cute :p It got even worse with group specials when our baby refused to budge at all and had to be carried to the line-up -
My boys have just started eating again after two of the girls were in season at once. The pacing has stopped as has the howling but with another bitch due in season in about a months time it's going to be short lived

I was told the same thing. We also had a vet once tell us that they got a lot of docks in with lamb neck bones stuck in their throats, probably small pieces but have never fed them for that reason.

All of our yards are chain mesh but we've put up a wooden fence on two sides and have now gone for the bamboo screening along one side as well. It looks good but we'll see how it stands up.

Got our numbers today. -
I had the same question many years ago. Dog one was never crated then dog 2 flew from interstate in a crate and was crate trained from then on. Going to shows meant that dog 1 was also crated at shows and grew to love his crate and all of our dogs from then on have been crate trained. Dog 1 will adapt easily if the crate is a really good place to be.

Hi Nushie, Glad you are starting to see some progress, the little fellow will be fine in no time at all.

One of ours came back to us at five months of age and simply won't toilet when on lead. The rest have been trained to toilet on command but this one simply won't do it so tends to go a whole day at a show without going, so frustrating.

Schipperkes can do really well at most disciplines, just got to make it the most rewarding experience ever and they'll do whatever you want. -

They Say You Know When It's Time .........how?

The last one we lost just went and layed down and wouldn't left her head for anything. Her eyes said it all as well, she had had enough. It's never easy but they do let you know. -
Clever boy, he certainly isn't silly.

Our pups all get Supercoat Puppy and we've never had a problem. Our adults also have Supercoat and there is far less output than we had when we tried Great Barko. Of course they are not fed solely dry food, they get chicken mince and veg and also sardines a couple of times a week.
