Puncture wound on t he hand from breaking up a fight. Very very very deep... I was meant to cook dinner that night, but couldn't because of the blood pouring out of my hand, so my brother got grounded for a week for not helping me I really should've had stitches and gone to hospital for it but Mum wasn't home and wasn't answering her mobile... by the time she got home it was too late to do anything about it. Numerous scratches from sharp claws and puppy teeth.. some have scarred. The latest is a very sore nose.. Bundy whacked me in the nose with his head while doing the waggiest tail comp at the Underdog open day on Sunday... I am actually surprised I didn't break it :D OH got a black eye from Diesel's snout when he accidentally poked it HARD into OH's eye.. OH was letting Diesey lick his face, then Diesel moved and OH didn't so he got a shiner...

Do they belong to a DOLer Bundy's Mum? I don't know, I didn't get to talk to the owner, Bundy really didn't want to go near them.

Those pugs made me laugh.. Bundy was put off by the bells Such very well dressed pugs
-
Agreed. We never send them home with cones however if one decides to lick and chew excessively they can have one. Pretty uncommon though! Our vets don't either, but we asked for one knowing what our boy was like
-
You can either take it off and just have it on when he's unsupervised, or he's just going to have to put up with it for another week. Our pup lasted 4 daya before he broke his Then we just had bitterant on his stitches so he wouldn't lick it.

Can You Give An 8 Week Old Puppy Chicken Necks?
Bundyburger replied to rbrad25's topic in Puppy Chat
My puppy got chicken necks at 8 weeks. He'd been brought up on them though and knew not to inhale. A chicken wing would probably be better, just bang it with a mallet to crush the bones up a smidge. -

Project Underdog- Christmas Wishing Tree

I'm excited Looking forward to it.. I'll be at the Fresh4paws stall most of the day I think.. complete with red terror who will probably spend some time in his crate so he doesn't jump on everyone He gets a tad excited.. -
Our Viz girl is fine with Mum's cat, and she was already getting on when he arrived. My young Viz is terrified of the cat, it's very funny.. BUT they don't live together and if the cat runs he will chase it. They are very very smart dogs, but some, like mine can take a while to mature and for the brain to kick in.. OH likens it to popcorn taking a long time to pop Only now has he started to 'get' some stuff. Although that does vary from dog to dog, my boy's half sister was a really fast learner. The only thing to remember, is Viz are velcro dogs. My boy will follow me to the toilet.. If OH is home, and I shut him in the kitchen/lounge so he can't get to the hallway while I have a shower, he'll stand by the door and wait for me to come back If he is on the couch, he MUST have some part of his body touching mine.. preferably his head in my lap.. He just has to be right with me all the time. He used to have seperation issues, and would melt down when I left for work, but he seems to have grown out of that now.. It was just a phase he went through I think. I love these dogs, i think they are wonderful.. but I am not sure I'd get another, he's a LOT of hard work. Just a tip, the breed is actually Vizsla, so if you do start enquiring, probably a good idea to get the spelling correct

Help! Our Puppy Just Chewed A Hole In The Leather Couch!--upda
Bundyburger replied to Huntia's topic in Puppy Chat
You never assume.. it ALWAYS bites you in the ass where puppies are concerned After 6 months we thought, ahh he'll be right.. NOPE... $500 raybans, about 30 pairs of underwear, 2 pairs of my shoes/thongs, one laptop charger and three beds and half a couch(a very old spare one) later... we finally realised he either came with us or was penned.. They always (unless you are lucky) turn into ferals when you least expect it.. I am still wondering HOW he chewed a hole in one of the floorboards all that time ago... Even now we don't trust him to have run of the back room just yet... Maybe next month after he goes another 4 weeks without chewing something -
That's very good of you "Reverend Ho" Good on you for facing up Hoffpig. I must admit I was having a good chortle over some of your emotive and passionate posts in the UQ thread.... but seriously, no need to disappear, who hasn't posted things they regret?

Same with my dogs, they don't care for Cuz's at all. I think they're too hard to squeak (good soft mouthed gundogs ). The toys we play retrieve with often hold very little value at other times, inlcuding the kong on a rope and aussie dog toy. For play time by themselves or with each other my dogs definitely prefer soft fluffy toys over anything rubber or plastic. Funny you say that.. Bundy still won't pick up his Cuz. If I 'trick' him into it, he'll spit it out The Kong gets no attention here.. although the Kelpie has lost TWO of the xtreme ones and I don't know what he did with them!! The D-man tug ball we had was mostly ignored for about 3 months when it first arrived... Then it was the most favourite toy until Bundy killed it. The second one was great for a few weeks, now they don't want to play with it anymore.

Dogue De Bordeaux Puppy Purchased Concern
Bundyburger replied to AshSky's topic in General Dog Discussion
I was thinking that too Jules.. bit of an overreaction for two days of no contact if that's all it was.. if I was the breeder I'd be unimpressed to see this thread here after such a short time. -
Next time just don't give him so much, just a little bit at a time. All the salt would've made him really thirsty.. so he drank tooo much and made himself sick. He wouldn't know what the cause was, he'd just know he was thirsty so he'd keep drinking, so it's up to us to limit them. I was verry shocked with the amount of squirts coming out of Bundy.. he was very confused I still think he'lll do the same thing next time.. even if we have fresh water for him! He just thought "water=drink".
-
He'll be fine. Bundy drank looots of water last time he went to the beach. Once it was through his system (I'll leave that to the imagination lol) he was fine. We just monitored his fresh water intake for the rest of the day. We didnt give him much until a few hours later so his tummy could settle, aside from a few sips when we first got home.

Hullo Shio!!! Didn't know you were on here... Tegz ;) -
We got our puppy home at 10pm.. we thought our Kelpie would try and and eat him... We brought the kelpie out the front, they had a quick sniff, then went inside... They were fine... The kelpie just had to get used to the little limpet hanging onto him ;) They are best friends now. I can't imagine keeping them seperated for days... I have some cute photos of them from the first night.. must find them and post them. Bundy was very cautious of this huge dog.. and Diesey just couldn't understand why we'd be so cruel as to get another dog

Laid-back Dogs Needed For Eeg Study
Bundyburger replied to tjhowell's topic in General Dog Discussion
Bundy will probably just want to love you to death and bounce around like an energizer bunny on speed. Not sure how long he'd take to settle... We don't live that far away though. -
I used frozen carrots... still a huge hit here
-
We chaged Bundy to newspaper after it was suggested on here and it helped him massively. I didn't even think of it!! Now his latest batch of bedding has lasted 3 months

5 Month Old Golden Retriever, How Much Food?
Bundyburger replied to thomo84's topic in General Dog Discussion
I'd follow the advice of his breeder. I'd also stop feeding him weetbix. Put him onto a decent dry food (that you can afford), it is better for him than weetbix and tinned wet food. You can even give him chicken frames or necks for breakfast instead or nice meaty bones. Also do a search on here for BARF. -
I'm gunna getcha! *WHACK* :p Love it.. aww i just saw the end...
