Seriously :p I am wondering whether the color of your dogs faeces tells you anything about their health. My dogs have different colours and one is yellow! It's also quite dry even though he gets oils in his diet. Any thoughts, insight?

My brain has gone dead but the wholesale meat place out at Dural sells them for $15 for 15kg - well that was last year. Just need to remember the name of the place now

Myella Pet Food - they have great prices on dog meat, chicken pieces, turkey necks. If you look them up in the White Pages you will find their number Last time I looked I think chicken mince was around $1.20 and chicken pieces, wings etc around the $1.00 kilo mark

We have this problem as well with one of our dogs. A friend suggested I get some Vicks vaporub and smear a small amount around the edgesof the bed. Worked a treat - about 3 weeks now and all beds still remain intact! They still sleep on them but the smell must put them off tearing them up. We only use a small amount around very edges and we probably "top up" with a bit more every week or so

There is a course offered by NCTM and they do a sydney one every year and it is about 4 minutes from my place. So there is a spare bed if you need it www.nctm.com.au I think that is the right link - if you search massage and look for a thread Schmoo started we discussed it there. All the feedback I have had is really really great (oh and I have dogs you can borrow :lol: )

Akitaowner I never saw that .... We have a hydrobath and use it to wash Henry every week. No wonder the neighbours give me dirty looks - whoops!! But given that he has mange again and we need to use a medicated wash I would dare one of the rangers/neighbours to have a go at me. The only options are hydrbath or bathtub and he is a tad heavy to lift into the bathtub LOL I know that my girlfriends who have dog washing businesses have gotten special permits to continue

Actually good point Shelley I have to commend NDTF on their office staff. They are just AWESOME!! Every time I have had a querry they have responded and always just really pleasant to deal with. Really great asset for NDTF!

The Mudgee Mutts appeal got me thinking that it would be good to have a resource of crafty patterns that people can get off the net if they want to help out For instance one of the links I have is for a "condom" or"donut" bed that is easily sew up in an hour (or so the link says ) Donut Bed pattern If Troy was in agreeance we could get it pinned and I could keep this post updated by category - say dogs. cats and reference each one as sewing, knitting, crochet etc What do you think?
