My vet would be happy to write me a script. Just ask and see what they say, tell them you can get it for half the price. -
The Problem With Fake Service Dogs

stop it! -
it's the save all at any cost mentality, the muzzle free laws can always be reversed but they wouldn't care.

The Problem With Fake Service Dogs

oh my why did I look, I am now suffering flashbacks from earlier photo's and video's -
No, as you well know, you are not allowed to tell me that for about 5 years  That works in well with my plans, will be having one around then as well. Got to plan in advance you know
-
what a load of crock, glad they love their dog but the rest is just .................... Thank you those that would like a pup from me Should I tell you I am planning a litter next year?

Eye Socket (orbital) Disease (exophthalmos)

Just caught up with this, so sorry Spoony, run free Chilli -
Jupiterlights while I admire your willingness to do everything right for your singleton, including taking on some orphan pups, I would be checking with your breeder about doing so. You said your bitch was on breeders terms, you need to be careful. If I was your breeder I would be less then impressed with some stray pups turning up which may impact on the health of a very precious singleton. Depending on what terms you have depends on who will be actually owning the pup. But I must admit I would also be doing a couple of other things different to what it appears your breeder is doing.

I could never get through to my Mother with her fat pug and the vets didn't help either. I gave up. Pug lived to 13 or 14 even though it was obese.
-
I would not allow the pup to stay for only 24 hrs. It either goes to the other bitch and they buy in colostrum, or it stays with it's Mum. Are you aware that sometimes a c-section is needed because one pup won't stimulate labour to begin?

The Problem With Fake Service Dogs
Rebanne replied to SkySoaringMagpie's topic in General Dog Discussion
Megan, several years ago there was a woman on here who tried to pass off her Iggy as an assistance dog for all sorts of reasons. At that time the dog was not accredited. It was admitted the dog was not accredited. She used her story to prevent being kicked out of rental accommodation that did not permit dogs and she hadn't told them she had dogs (2 Iggy's). I think she was also trying to claim the 2nd dog was to comfort the 1st cause it was such a hard job.I think there was a stink about an airline not allowing at least one of her dogs in the cabin with her. Whether this is the same person now on FB I don't know but there was definitely a DOLer going around conning people with her so called assistance dog. -

Can you imagine that happening with the person Kirislin mentioned. A physical impossibility! Riiiight. Now I get this! I just thought you were calling some poor person a fatty not that their dog was tiny. oh yeah she was a fatty and the dog was tiny -
and they have just arrived at midday 24th. Excellent service.

Fern has had ongoing back troubles for some time, xrays were clear, so I had an MRI done at Werribee Vet Hospital ( Uni of Melbourne ), they did a contrast and the area lit up like a Christmas tree. It is very uncommon. Needle aspirate was inconclusive so they then did a muscle biopsy. Found her disk problem at the same time. So it's just a wait and see and I was trying to find out how quick it might move cause if the crate rest doesn't help with the disk problem then that will need surgery but I don't want to do surgery if the lipoma will invade the spine any time soon. Don't think that would be fair to Fern. So I am hoping the enforced rest will fix the disk for a long time to come and the lipoma is very slow spreading, it could have been there for a long time already.
-
Thanks I hadn't heard of them either. It's a nasty piece of work, benign but dangerous cause they infiltrate to places they shouldn't. Not like the normal lipoma at all really. Best way I can describe it to myself is it's like the marbling in beef, fatty streaks all through the muscle but it doesn't stay there. I was in a bit of a flap when I first posted, couldn't see the wood for the trees, but had a long chat to the vet the next day and have come to terms with it. One step at a time.

no one? oh well lucky dogs and owners :)

The very best piece of advice I ever received went something like this: I imagine your dog has a pretty good life with you? Good food, nice beds etc. Then surely your dog can do what you want for a minute or two occasionally? All my thoughts of, oh he's only a baby, only a youngster, oh I don't like being firm went flying and from then on it was like what indigirl said. I will say stand, you will stand still, you will not break just because I make you do something. The difference in my attitude made the world of difference to my dog, I stopped being wishy washy. I do not know if it would have worked with my first show dog but it made a big difference with the others.

My link just bought two of the memory foams beds for a total of $75 and some cents, including postage, the exact same as on ebay for $50 each with free postage. Saved myself $25!

try ebay as well

Once confirmed in whelp. I do need to get it out there cause 1) there are never enough people wanting greyhound puppies and 2) the ones who think they might like a greyhound puppy never think they are available. There is a mating planned for next year and I do have that on my website, no details, just litter planned for 2014.

I have a Mazda and the back seats are down all the time. I have a cargo barrier behind my front seats. The back is full of vet bed under which is a waterproof hammock thingee and one foam mat. My dogs never jump up using the bumper bar, they clear it in a single bound :D but if they go in via the side doors they do seem to step in sometimes off the bottom of the door opening. It has a rough texture anyway and I don't look for scratches. :D
