  1. Yes was wondering how we are going as well ? No fluids since yesterday ? Must say I find that concerning. Hope all is good....
  2. I'll back you up there BC Crazy :) It has taken me ages to get Abbey's coat back to normal after being on BH. It did deffinately not agree with her and i would never go near BH again. Yes, thanks Tara. We have seen what damage BH can do first hand unfortunatley
  3. Same scenario here with our two - with dandruff to boot unfortunately I know when it comes down to it BH is a business, but I must admit I was a tad disappointed to see a huge promotion for it in Pets Parasites today I'd heard good things about Evo which I'm led to believe was a PP only product until recently, so there's really not much that's turning me away from giving that a try now I think I can safely say that out of all the Major brands of pet food available in Australia, Artemis is the only 1 that you will not find in a pet shop selling puppies & Kittens. Thanks for the "heads up" regarding Artemis. I was unaware of that & I am very pleased that they don't. I am dead against anything with a heartbeat being sold in a Pet Shop. I was going to give Artemis a try with my guys too as they have a new grain free variety available & see how they go as they are quite fussy at times :)
  4. OMG... Words fail me & this story deeply saddens me Poor Buck, it is just beyond me. Bait dog & tortured then stuffed in a garbage bag & left to die. Then there is poor little Hope mouth taped shut. So she can hardly breath, then they cut her to pieces And it goes on at an alarming rate. Makes me ashamed to part of the human race when I am made aware of such horror. My heart goes out to these little darlings & any others that have suffered such violence at the hands of these B@$tards...
  5. My boy was on it well before it was in the shops too. But then he just went down hill & within 24 hours of me swapping his dry food from BH to Earth born Holistic, the yeasty odour about him vanished & within 3 weeks his coat had made big improvements :)
  6. I Hate to see it & I have witnessed it at our leash free one more than on occasion unfortunately Just the other day I saw a women repeatedly smack & punch her staffie cross girl around the head & body all the while screaming abuse at her Then picked her up & literally threw her up in the air & into the water. The poor girl was terrified !!! I yelled out at her to stop but all she did was hesitate, glare at me, then kept going. I walked home in tears..... Just upsets me so much..... Had to edit: I would have loved to have said more to this nasty piece of work but after the glare I got from her I thought I may have been next. Or even worse, my dogs I don't do anything aggressive very well at all. She was a very big 'thing' & I am on the small side at under 5 feet & 47kg's. She would have had me on toast.
  7. Thanks everyone for your input & ideas regarding Stella. Corvus, Hankdog, Snook & all. You always make me feel a bit better. As we all know these reactive can be extremely hard work at times. I love this particular thread. I get so much advice / help. I have learn't lots as well as just knowing I'm not alone, with a DA, reactive girl. Good news is Stella has settled down a bit of late. No where near where I'd like her to be but a smiggen better at home. Great news is she has really improved when we are out with other dogs The other day we actually socialised for about a hour with 2 GR's off lead , one young & one aged & while Stella wasn't over the moon about them hanging around us or me in particular. There was no growling, ugly faces or stand over tactic's. She was a little frozen for a while but she did warm up towards the end It has also been very crowed at our beach lately with tourists etc & the other day we had JetSki with loads of people right next to us & Stella didn't put a foot wrong. I was very pleasantly surprised. She didn't try & chase the Jetski or bark or anything, just sat right next to me & watched them. Wonderful We had a jackpot of treats for that behaviour :D
  8. I had the very same scenario with my 2 as well. My boy suffered far worse than my girl. Their coats just went so down hill.... Dull, dry & very coarse. Dandruff & an awful yeasty smell about them. It has taken me 3 months to get them looking half decent again BH may suit some dogs but definitely NOT mine. I will NEVER use it again & I know of others that wont either.
  9. I tried everything with Stella to deter her from this revolting habit. Pineapple fresh & tinned, tomato paste, Wild Forage & there were other things as well, nothing worked for us except the very quick pick up & maturity. She hasnt done it for 3 months now & has just turned 2 :)
  10. I will do yesterday & it never changes much really. Before we go to out walking , Kong with a little home made Barf in it. Lunch, small meaty bone Dinner, 3/4 cup premium dry food, Stella has 1/2 1/2 cup hm Barf & omega 3 6 9, + 1/2 teaspoon A+ superboost. At bedtime a little peanut butter in their kongs. Had to edit as I forgot to add their absolute fav treat a strawberry cut up with a tiny bit of cream. I know, so spoilt..... :)
  11. Yes OSS, I wondered the very same thing. How many poor Buddies have suffered the same horriic, totally careless end. And yes, not a day has gone by since this very sad thread began that I have not thought of poor, heart broken Caz & very dear, lovely Buddy & teared up at the total bloody careless loss of a very much loved ageing boy to a very dedicated, devoted, NOW extemely heartbroken owner
  12. RIP Inka sweet girl..... Run free girl. So sorry for your loss, she looks like such a lovely girl
  13. I haven't read all of this thread but just wanted to add my girl isn't keen on Boxers. I thought it might have been cause they are usually pretty boucy & excited. Spoke to my girl's breeder & she was of the opinion the it was probably their rather upright, chest out stance that can come off as being 'confrontational'... :)
  14. LOL Aussie3.... Maybe we need to get him a mirror so he can see he is little big for a lap boy, giggle... Stella has personality to burn as well Ash1. She is such a character & almost cat like at times. She does this funny thing right before she throws her fav toy pelican "Pete" into the leather bean bag in our longe room. She runs side on just like a cat would, tail in the air before she launches herself flat out into the bean bag. So funny to watch :)
  15. I thought the same kayla1.I like to try new things. I don't mind paying for premium dry as long as they do well on it. You don't have to feed them as much anyway, so in the long run it doesn't work out to bad. I always use the natural pet store, find them really good & so helpful :)
  16.  How funny is it Aussie3. Stella does the grunting roll on her back thing for a few minutes then like a crazy girl will jump up & bolt off around the lounge room at 100 miles an hour. She is such a nutter  Who needs a tv when we have such funny dogs.
  17. Yes, I have another ballet dancer here as well. Stella is always stretching her back legs out before I get her out of her crate or when she has been lying down for a while & when she is doing this she also groans & growls as if to say 'oh that feels better' She has always growled alot, when she is running along, is doing summasalts yes she does them too. Also when she rolls around on her back. Very vocal is my girl. When she meets people she 'talks' her head off
  18. Thats the type I am going to give a go too Kayla1. Mine usually have TOTW salmon or Earthborn but thought I might give this a go.
  19. Chickpeas... Thanks minimax, I didn't know what they were either Suppose to be very good for humans chic peas I believe.
  20. So pleased you have had great sucess so far with Wellness dog food. I hadn't heard of it till I noticed it in pet barn the other day. Every dog is different & some like yours are unfortunate to be ill so it is finding one that works is half the battle. Hope Sam continues to stay healthy :)
  21. I so admire your courage & integrity cazstaff in the face of such personnal tragedy. Beautiful photo
  22. Hi everybody, Just wondering if anyone has anyone has tried out the new range of dry dog food by Artemis called Osopure grain free? I thought the ingredient list looked pretty good but would be interested on other fellow dolers views on it. Thanks in advance :)
