  2. Another raw mince ball fan here. Works for us so far as well. Hide the pills in the middle. Yummmm !!! ;)
  3. What variety is it? Great product. My guys go so well on it. If it is the Venison/ fish one I may be able to buy a few bags depending on $$$. Just pm me :)
  4. Thanks Danny for using all those emoticons. I couldn't get them to work when I posted my happy birthday Mac post so you have certainly made up for that LOL
  5. Happy 16th Birthday darling Mac????. Have a blast gorgeous boy. Looking forward to seeing the photo's of the Westie party on Saturday.
  6. Petal does certainly look so very sad Poor little girl. I hope she finds a loving home & can get healthy.
  7. Oooo Little Ruby. What a heart melter ♡
  8. Hilarious Hazy !!! Perhaps a bit tight around the left hind paw Maddie, LOL...
  9. Happy 9th Birthday gorgeous, big, fluffy boy
  10. Delta Charlie that is a great idea but do they not get too hot? Your landlord won't let you have them inside though will he. Scottsmum, know the feeling ;)
  11. Thanks everyone for your help... Mesh coat ordered & on the way :) So pleased to report Sonny has improved 100 % in literally 24 hours on double pain relief as suggested by our wonderful Vet. I was a bit too careful with his pain relief & now isn't the time. Sonny literally pranced out of bed this morning & romped around playing with Stella which he hasn't done for a while. As usual am so pleased I asked the question here first when unsure...Wealth of knowledge my fellow Dolers & so generous with it.. Will update how we go with our new blanket :)
  12. Delta Charlie, love your logic  Tassie, I couldn't handle 2 Stella's & that would be just my luck even though I think they broke the mould making her
  13. That's fabulous your Kirra is in such good shapeTassie . You must be doing everything right for her. I have everything crossed my next dog will be a healthy one. That is something I'm very much looking forward to :)
  14. No worries. I just don' t want anyone to go through what we did. I take great pride in keeping my dogs looking at their best & if you' d seen the state my boy was in. It was beyond belief how fast he went down hill. And he had this awful smell about him. He was just in terrible shape. I never feed pet mince either. There is no real guarantee what is actually in it. Human consumption meat is the only way to go for us. After what Sonny has been through I don't take chances with his diet.
  15. Oh thank you ness :) I was going to pm you actually to ask your opinion. OH & I were just discussing what one to get. Sonny has a huge coat & is inside alot. I was concerned he may get too hot in the quilted one. I think ill get the mesh one first then. I can always get the quilted one at a later date :)
  16. I wouldn't feed mine Black Hawk again if it was the last dry food left on the planet. It used to be a really good dry food in the early days & until they changed the ingredients around the same time they changed the packaging. Sonny got the worst food intolerance issues on it. Took me over 12 months to get his coat back from the brink. It was ruined. He was scratching like he was covered in fleas. Good quality grain free is the way I went & haven't looked back. I only feed 25% dry now though. Raw makes up the rest. Both my guys are beaming with good health with coats to match.
  17. I have a real soft spot for Dobes. I'd had nothing to do with the breed until my stepson rescued a 18month old boy from Geelong. He has had him years now & what a delightful boy he is. So loyal. An excellent watch dog. Just the loviest big boy. Never caused Shannon a moments trouble. He is a big teddy bear & wants nohing more than a cuddle & a lounge chair :) Hope this lovely golden oldie Barron finds a loving place go lay his head ASAP...♡
  18. Way to go True ♡ So pleased you have found a lovely forever home. Enjoy every minute :) KTB so sorry to read you have become a target of such nastiness. And all your lovely photo's may be gone . Well I certainly hope that it is all resolved ASAP & you can get them back. Gosh there are some very nasty people in this world. No wonder I prefer dogs to most people. Give me a dog any day.... good luck with it :)
  19. Geez that Spondylosis sounds bloody awful & painful... It's a wonder she is walking around let alone trailing. Sonny is far from stoic as well. He will just stop & sit down if he just wa nts to have a rest. And he is academy award winning material if he has a bindi in his paw...LOL where as Stella would continue to run run run ... no matter what ...over hot coals.
  20. Denali, thanks, I will get the mesh one as well when the weath warms up. I thought in a warmer climate the mesh one would work :)
  21. Geez DC, 9 & 13... Dash & Delta are going amazingly well. And on no supplements at all. Are either of them Arthritic? What is Spondylosis DC? Never heard of that. She has certainly defied the odds & the experts by all accounts. Well done girl :)
  22. Don' t worry Tassie I won't tell her LOL Sonny is on RHV, Animal Solutions Omega 369, Technyflex, Golden paste as well as Tramadol & Carprohen. We have the dogs room reverse cycle air conned. Hopefully the BOT coat will be as successful as it has been with you & others. Upsets me to see him in pain in the mornings.I spoke to the Vet this morning & we've upped Sonny's Tramadol as he was only taking half a SR 50mg, so he will be having a full SR 50mg morning & night now. At least over the cooler months.
  23. Thanks for your replies DC & denali . DC, thats sounds very promising for Sonny then. So pleased you have seen such a positive difference. Sonny is very heavily coated that why I was unsure whether to get the quilted one or not. I think I will do what your doing then & get the quilted one for winter. The mesh one for summer. I have upped his pain meds this last week & modified his exercise. More swimming, less actually walking. Denali, what breed of dog is Hen?
  24. Delta yes I did read that in the ingredients list DC. She seems fine on it. She only has a third of a cup per day though. She is a mostly raw fed girl. I also altinate dry food. Buy a different bag each time. I go between Earthborn, Cannidae, Kiwi peak, Sunday pets. Thats a really good price. Going to try them next order :)
  25. Hi folks, Am in the market for a Back on Track dog coat for Sonny. He is suffering with early onset Arthritis in his hips sadly. I have noticed lately that the stiffness in his rear end has increased, mainly first thing in the morning or after he has been lying down for a while then goes to get up. Being winter as well the cold seems to increase his stiffness. Once he get going he moves quite well. I thought I would get him a coat to help alleviate some of his symptoms. I'm just a bit unsure whether to buy the dog blanket or the quilted rug???? I'm worried he may get too hot in the quilted one? I want him wear it of a night time mainly & he is indoors. The blanket looks great but just don't k know if it will it be as effective being lighter. Any thought, suggestions, experiences greatly appreciated :)
